Northern Dynasties Imperial Industry

From the first publication of the work on July 1, 2022 to the present, it has taken two and a half years and 4.56 million words. The serialization of "The Imperial Career of the Northern Dynasties" has officially ended. I feel relieved, but also a little disappointed.

This is the third time that the work has been completed on Qidian. Compared with the other two works, "The Imperial Career of the Northern Dynasties" has a special meaning to me. It is not just a simple online writing, but also a dialogue and precipitation with myself.

Everyone should know that before writing this book, I experienced a small transformation failure. In fact, it can't be called a transformation. It's just that when life encounters adversity, I want to dispel the depression and depression of life by conceiving a completely imaginary story. Unfortunately, I still overestimated my imagination and was forced to return to the familiar field due to my livelihood.

Before writing the Northern Dynasties, I was not very lucky. I encountered a little accident. My life, work, and personal physical condition all encountered some setbacks. When I reached middle age, I thought I had a certain understanding and preparation for all aspects, but once I encountered an accident, I found that I felt more powerless, and my mood and state of mind also changed a lot.

Fortunately, in addition to the trivialities of life, I also have a creative space where I can temporarily avoid reality and gain peace. I can turn useless fantasies in daily life into sorting out and associating with the fate of people thousands of years ago. Compared with the rise and fall in history, personal misfortunes and irritability become insignificant.

Many details of feelings are difficult to describe in words, and only personal experience can make sense. In the process of writing "Northern Dynasty", what I felt most in my heart was gratitude. I am grateful that I started such a sideline job a few years ago when I was bored. I am grateful that Qidian has provided such a platform for a nine-year-old boy who loves creation. I especially need to thank everyone for their continued support, which allows me to obtain a life guarantee and a sense of accomplishment through my efforts.

For more than two years, organizing materials, sorting out the context and conceiving plots have occupied most of my energy, and I have no time to indulge in too many negative emotions. My emotions can be restored to stability and my mood is gradually becoming peaceful.

Here, if there are book friends who have also encountered some adversity and setbacks, it is also recommended not to complain about yourself, but to keep yourself busy, even if you are still confused for a while, but if you keep busy, the right direction will always appear. Life will not force people to have no way to go. Many times, it is precisely ourselves who trouble us. The truth is not for listening, but for doing.

Although it is just online writing, in the process of writing, it is often mixed with the author's own cognition, thinking and feelings. There are many shortcomings in the book "Northern Dynasty". I often see book friends criticize that it is too smooth, unrealistic, and the protagonist is too positive and stereotyped. These are all objective problems and shortcomings, and there is nothing to quibble about.

For me, it is probably because I hate twists and turns, adversity, and the feeling that life is too fragile. When conceiving the plot, I am more resistant to thinking about elements such as setbacks and death. I use my not-so-smart brain to sort out a steady upward path for the protagonist in the treacherous and ever-changing situation of the Three Kingdoms, and give a general description of the trend of the Three Kingdoms.

In short, the work has been completed, and the praise and criticism are up to you. I am grateful for your love. I also sincerely accept the criticism and guidance, and try to make some corrections in the subsequent writing. However, the writing of long online articles is too dependent on the author's creative habits, so that many online articles, even some works of famous authors, are very homogeneous. Here I really envy those talented authors with strong creativity and energy.

As for the extra chapters of the work, I don’t have any specific ideas and thoughts at the moment. After the main text was just finished, my mind was also quite confused. And the reputation in this regard has always been average. So far, the extra chapters of the previous book "Tang Huang" have not been written, so I won’t promise you here.

Every time a novel is completed, there is a feeling of being hollowed out. Whether it is physical strength, spirit or knowledge reserves, it will enter a cooling period, which may be long or short. Next, I will also take a break for a while, especially to supplement knowledge and improve cognition.

Now there are more and more popular sciences related to online knowledge. If you don’t learn and just output blindly, it is easy to show your weakness. People are not as easy to fool as before, and their understanding of background knowledge is becoming more and more sufficient and detailed. During the writing process of this book, I met many book friends who gave me guidance on background knowledge. I am grateful and feel my own shortcomings. If I want to eat this bowl of rice in the future, I have to work harder.

Regarding the new book, I don’t have a specific idea at the moment, it should still be a historical theme. I plan to take a break and adjust before the New Year, and then officially start the conception and writing of the new book after the Spring Festival. When I have a specific theme idea, I will report to you here.
