The first movement: Awakening Poem (51): Scheler is busy (two in one)

“Ding ding ding ding ding ding dong~~”

"I Breathe the Fragrance of the Bodhi Tree", in the key of D major, the piano accompaniment starts weakly with the dominant note A, bringing out a series of crystal clear upper tones.

The crisp and swaying sound of wind chimes interrupted everyone's reverie. The piano only used a few notes of seventh chords to make a simple connection, and then played out a second string of pure and sweet sounds of nature again.

"Ding ding ding ding ding ding dong~~"

Miss Nightingale's physical condition became more active. She stood on her high heels and her voice was as pure as if it had been washed by spring water:

"I breathed in a burst of fragrance..."

The first impression of this melody is so clear and sincere that it penetrates the listener's heart like ice water. It is more beautiful than the nightingale song that reaches the ears of shepherds when the rain forest is green and the berries are sweet.

But strictly speaking, the real accompaniment has not yet appeared.

The two ethereal tinkling sounds of the piano are just a brief introduction. Master Lucter uses a critical attitude to listen to how the melody will develop next and what kind of interpretation the piano will perform.

His mood is really complicated at this moment. There is no doubt that if this art song falls into the trap of those discussions, he will be disappointed or even angry, but he must treat the singer with a gentle and honest attitude - because , even if you don’t know how to express the artistic conception, how can you criticize others for expressing it?

However, what everyone heard was not accompaniment at all.

Not a bar, broken or semi-broken chord, but, rather, a melody.

Another one-note counterpoint melody!

In the slightly higher alto range, the piano played a series of clear and far-off sextuplets at a leisurely pace.

Its speed is very subtle, medium speed, if it is faster it will be impetuous, if it is slower it will be dragging; its intensity is very restrained, if it is strong it will be abrupt, if it is weak it will be artificial, everything is just right.

Refreshing inspiration rushed to their faces, and the audience felt that they really smelled the fragrance of the linden tree!

It came a little later than Miss Nightingale's song, just like the girl's orchid breath, which penetrated the listener's breath and penetrated into the listener's soul a little later!

“I breathed in a burst of fragrance.

There is it in the room,

A small twig of the lime tree;

This is a gift,

From my beloved;

The scent of the linden tree is so sweet!

The scent of the linden tree is so sweet! "

Ann's voice is young, gentle and emotional.

The vocal melody is already like this, and the counterpoint melody of the piano is extremely transparent and quiet. Only the sparse bass in the left hand supports the skeleton of the harmony, suggesting that the quiet fragrance of the Bodhi tree is floating in the air and quietly sinking into the heart of the admirer.

Master Lucter was instantly moved.

Counterpoint, the way the piano "accompanies" is not accompaniment, but counterpoint with the same main role!

And it’s not a counterpoint to the medieval style, but a stunning melody that mixes romanticism and mystery!

The musical counterpoint between the two polyphonic melodies is naturally harmonious, but the imagery always remains distant, just like the pounding of the heart in youth: all the attention is clearly on the person you like, But even the slightest touch of skin was reserved and shy.

The core creative inspiration of my own poem is to connect this green taste of love with the fragrance of the bodhi tree, and this polyphonic art song perfectly reproduces this artistic conception!

I have been pondering for many years but still haven’t found it yet!

The master's hand holding the pen suddenly tightened.

However, this is not over yet.

In the second part of the song, the right hand of the piano added a third counterpoint melody in the high register!

It's like adding a natural narration to the lovely interactions and responses between lovers, which is full of freshness and sunshine, further integrating the artistic conception of the poem with the musical lines, without any artificiality!

At this time, Miss Nightingale smiled softly, held her hands gently on her chest, continued singing in a longing tone, and expressed her feelings to her sweetheart in green words:

"You speak so gently,

Take a gentle sniff,

It is also the fragrance of the linden tree,

It is the fragrance of love! "

When the song disappeared in the otherworldly silence, the reaction of the tourists in the back row was completely different from that after Miss Cuckoo finished singing "The Queen's Aria". This time there was no overwhelming applause or cheers, but everyone There was no movement at all. Those who stood up still stood where they were, and those who sat down still maintained their original postures.

Those fresh and throbbing fragrances still linger in the air.

Master Lucter finally spoke.

Throughout today's final selection competition, he had very few low-pitched exchanges with the judges, but this was definitely the first time he took the initiative to speak to a singer——

"Who wrote this song?"

An didn't answer because he immediately asked a second question without giving anyone a chance to answer.

This time the speaking speed was obviously a bit faster:

"You originally had a second song, right?"

"Yes, sir." An answered politely, holding up her skirt.

For the qualifying round, everyone originally prepared two songs, but later Lucter cut them in half in order to keep up with the schedule.

Naturally, he clearly remembered that when the nightingale announced the curtain, she was talking about the first song of "Lucter's Song"!

"Why is the teacher not anxious anymore?" Kuci looked at the girl in white dress on the stage. Judging from the response, Miss Nightingale was naturally selected successfully. She clearly remembered that the teacher was on pins and needles before.

"Why is the teacher so anxious?..." Another famous tenor singer felt that this tone was very different from the teacher's usual style.

Prince Eleanor and the troubadour Senesino on the left and right of Rückert were thinking deeply.

One of them is the head of the opera house, Miss Cuckoo's brother, and the other is the head of the big concert hall, Miss Cuckoo's teacher. It is inevitable to push her to the position of a famous singer this year. With the royal and church background, plus her own talent, everything is in place.

There is no conflict in the final selection for the time being. It is a choice to choose one or two, but the final awards are divided by gender! There is only one male and female famous singer, and three nominations each! In this case, both of them are sopranos, and they are on the same track...

"What is the name of the second song? Can you sing it?" Master Rückert asked again.

It is human nature. The poet really wants to know whether the instructor behind him has written such art songs, and which one of his own is it! His three famous singer students are also curious about which one it is, because such works will definitely become their reserved repertoires in the future, such as the "Fragrance of the Bodhi Tree" just now.

However, Rückert's tone has now restored the calmness and concentration that an elderly person should have on weekdays. He added:

"I have said that this batch of contestants will only sing one song, so whether to sing the second song is entirely up to your personal wishes, which will not affect my voting judgment."

"I am happy to do so." An smiled again and crisply reported the name of the next song:

"If You Love Beauty."

How can the teacher be so great! Miss Nightingale is very happy now. Everyone recognizes her singing, which is only one aspect. Another important reason is that she feels that she has enjoyed herself and simply wants to sing another song from the bottom of her heart.

She asked Fanning that day, and he said that there was no specified singing order, so she decided on the five songs based on her feelings. At this moment, she felt that her arrangement was very narrative and progressive, first moistening things silently, then "making a strong impression", and finally moving towards a summary and sublimation. The second song "If You Love Beauty"... In her understanding, the poetic connotation obviously belongs to the "making a strong impression" category.

Hearing another of his own poems, Master Rückert nodded slightly with a complicated expression.

This work was created a little later. It was also a love poem he wrote for his lover in his youth. It was a polyrhythmic poem with a classical and neat structure, but strange and magnificent rhetorical techniques.

He wanted to know how the creator would present it.

The piano descended with a simple scale, leading to a gentle and intimate four-part harmony.

"The writing method of 'branch polyphony'? The accompaniment of each song is really not clichéd." These judges have such sharp ears that they realized at the beginning that this creative method is not simple.

Its counterpoint independence is stronger than traditional accompaniment, but weaker than contrasting or imitative polyphony: usually multiple layers revolve around a main melody, sometimes separated, sometimes gathered, and set off each other, thus forming a sound effect that includes the human voice in a dense fabric.

It sounds very beautiful, but it should be noted that if the realm of harmony and melody writing is not perfect, such a technique is very easy to make the vocals and accompaniment indistinguishable! But now--

Miss Nightingale took a breath and opened her mouth again. This time she was no longer reserved and sang lightly, but her eyes were bright, her arms were open, and she sang loudly with a passionate attitude:

"If you love beauty, please don't love me!..."

As soon as the melody came out, before it was complete, everyone understood the magic of it. The piano gently embraced the singing, and the singing responded with deep love. The two were entangled and nestled, and the combination was perfect!

"Who wrote this?" The three famous singers, including Miss Kutsch, were puzzled. If it was just the amazing song just now, everyone's reaction would be to marvel at who could capture such inspiration, but the second song was also of a very high level...

Could it be that someone could perform "Rückert's Poems" twice stably? This is somewhat difficult to understand!

"If you love beauty, please don't love me!

Love the sun, the sun with golden hair."

The word "Liebe (love)" in the poem appears repeatedly in her singing, and Fanning changes each piece of music material slightly when it appears, so that the emotion is pushed higher and higher in a series of negative words-

Miss Nightingale's second paragraph, modulates upward by a minor third:

"If you love youth, please don't love me!

Love the spring, the spring that remains the same year after year."

Miss Nightingale's third paragraph, the rhythm line is lengthened:

"If you love wealth, please Don't love me!

Love the mermaid, who has countless pearls on her body. "

The last paragraph's dazzling emphasis in the high range sublimates the theme of this poem, and all the negations become affirmations at this moment. Every syllable of her is filled with a passionate yearning for love:

"If you love love, please love me!

Love me forever, just like I love you forever!!!"

After reading and pondering the poem, Fanning made a very interesting treatment here: he did not use the clichéd sudden force at the emotional outbreak point, but made a "gradually slow and gradually strong" terminology instruction.

What is even more dramatic is the next sentence "Oja, michliebe!" (Ah, you love me!), he did the opposite and used "diminished"!

"How did he know that when I wrote this sentence, I was actually worrying about gains and losses!?"

After hearing Miss Nightingale's subtly "heart-wrenching" performance at the end, Master Lucter really couldn't sit still!

Everyone in the world thinks that the protagonist who recites this poem must be a noble person who is not limited to material things and pursues spiritual love. He or she must yearn for pure love and pursue this purity with great confidence... …

This is not entirely true! In fact, faced with the interference of worldly and materialistic desires, the protagonist is not completely confident. His or her mentality is worried about gains and losses! He (she) confesses so affectionately to his sweetheart and racks his brains to lay the groundwork. In fact, he or she has used up a lifetime of courage, and is also afraid of the consequences of that confession!

Why is the creator behind the poem so keenly aware of the true meaning behind the poem?

Why can this Miss Nightingale express herself so vividly? ? ?

"Who wrote this!?"

The ending of the song was a continuous descending semitone, and not even half a second before the music's ending had dissipated, Master Lucter suddenly stood up!

Ann was taken aback by the Crescent Bard's reaction.

"Schele..."

"My teacher signed the invitation..."

All the judges looked at each other.

Who is Scheler? ?

So, this musician whose name she has never heard of, signed on a pink recommendation strip, is her teacher?

Prince Eleanor's eyes flashed. Due to the competitive relationship between Miss Nightingale and Miss Cuckoo, he was ready to use the power of the royal family and the church to investigate Scheler's background.

"Did Scheler write a similar art song? Did he ask you to sing it during the finals? Can you tell me the name of the work?"

Lucter asked Sanlian directly.

no way.

With such superb creative quality, no one can resist this.

The opponent's psychological offensive was clearly knowing that its purpose was to help his students achieve results, but basically as long as he was an individual he couldn't help it! Now the poet is not only concerned about whether his works have been re-created, but he can't help but guess how many songs there are in total, which ones they are, and how they are written...

Facing this old and extremely famous master, An felt a little hesitant in his heart.

Fan Ning told her, "You can try it without notifying her in advance," saying that this might "maximize the judges' expectations." She also said that she would not rule out "other additions or changes on a whim"... Although it was not officially explained, it was He said it casually, but An felt that he had to listen to the teacher in everything he said.

"Sorry, Mr. Lucter, the teacher's plan has not been completely finalized yet." She bowed apologetically.

"Where is your teacher Scheler now?" Lucter asked again.

"Ah..." An was stunned for a moment, but there was no need to answer this question, "He was attending a concert, at Mr. Bruno Walter's..."

The table and bench creaked.

"I'm going to visit him now." Lucter stood up and left the table.

Ah this... the judges were stunned, the candidate singers were dumbfounded, and even the onlookers behind the stage auditorium were dumbfounded.

Halfway through the celebrity singer selection competition, the chief judge just left?

Heck, there are more than a dozen contestants behind us! Lucter took three steps and felt that something was wrong. The royal family and the church had a small reputation, but he couldn't break the promise he had promised to check.

"Miss Kuci, please send Miss Nightingale back to the Festival Concert Hall, and invite Mr. Scheler in my name to come to the outdoor café of the Opera House for a talk tonight!" He ordered his beloved disciple, "To Now, go to my lounge and give him a small piece of blood jade fox lily jewelry! Today’s two art songs are worth thousands of dollars!”

"Okay..." Ku Ci agreed subconsciously at first, and then said in a somewhat uncertain tone, "Now, now?"

Lucter waved his right hand one after another:

"Hurry up, the contestants here have nothing to do with you. If you don't go over there, the show will be dismissed!"
