Orc Tyrant
Chapter 1016: Curse of Blood (Part 2)
"I can do it alone!!"
Hagrid drew back his warhammer and raised it again, slamming it on the back of one of those ancient warriors.
With a dull loud noise, the blood executioner's armor burst into golden and red fragments.
He fell down and never got up again. Ur also got up from the ground.
The battle has come to an end. The scrap iron piece Viken used two mechanical arms to clamp the core of the demon tightly. The monster from the chaos void kept beating the buried Ouke’s steel body with its tentacles, but this couldn’t make it happen. A warrior who had faced death felt the slightest fear.
The strange chaotic flames jumped around the demon, but Viken remained motionless.
With a thick white steam gushing from the joints, the Fearless Mecha violently pulled with its arm, tearing the demon to pieces in an instant.
The dazzling light flickered in the bunker, and horrible screams echoed in the air, but they stopped abruptly.
The devil disappeared, and the Oukes won.
After the battle, the special warfare boys remained on guard for a while before being repaired.
Hagrid leaned against his warhammer and stood beside the enemy's corpse, panting. Koresh was checking Ur's injuries. The other guards gathered together, waiting for the next order.
In Ur's ears, Koresh's voice sounded so far away, and the side effects of the previous medicines began to work miraculously.
"This is the last place. It is very special. There is a key clue. I know that the blood worship will definitely protect this place."
No matter what the other party said, Ur was exhausted.
"The order I received was to destroy it, and the other...not important."
"Not yet."
After using a special technique to expel the chaotic energy from Ur's wound, Koresh straightened his waist and turned to the open door, which was the lowest level leading to the bunker.
"Maybe you can take a look... I mean, I hope you can come too, this place makes me a little uncomfortable."
"You don't know what's here?"
"Just guessing, not sure, the archbishop gave very little information."
Karesh said, reaching out to the bunker for himself, and his attendants followed him.
Ur glanced at Hagrid, the other side tilted his head at him, and then the two Ookes followed.
Under the bunker is a huge temple, and Koresh is using his hand lamp to illuminate some stone flues on the wall.
Scattered dust is flying in the beam of light, thus showing the flow of air.
"Ventilation duct, used recently."
The Wendigo Cultist said suddenly.
"what?"
"This is not a ruin, it is very old, yes, but it was still in use until not too long ago."
Ur watched the other person pacing in the temple.
"So?"
Koresh pointed to the large and small colorful pottery bowls on the steps around the altar.
"These sacrifices contain fish, grains, and resin. I guess they are less than a week old."
"So what are you looking for?"
Ur looked around and didn't see anything interesting to him.
"I do not know."
Koresh opened his hands. "
But this whole temple is to protect something, right? We need to mobilize an excavator, we need to figure out what is hidden behind these statues. "
"I can't wait that long."
"That's really embarrassing, the reality is like this, because these important orders are related to the overlord, and their protection is the primary goal."
"Cut, stop talking nonsense."
Hagrid suddenly yelled, frightening the attendants who were sorting out the items in the temple shivering.
Then the big man stepped towards the solemn tomb gods. People were staring at him. Several people took a breath and saw that he had really reached the steps at the foot of the altar.
"Please come down, come down, my dear Mr. Hagrid."
Hagrid carefully moved to the second step, almost able to look directly at the dignified idols.
"They are some stone shrimps."
He repeated, raising his right hand and pointing at the moonstone eyes of the nearest statue.
"Look at these eyes, you said to yourself, can these eyes sell a lot of teeth?"
He turned his head and glanced at the nervous audience. Although Ur's face was hidden in the shadows, Hagrid could still detect that he was smiling.
"Come down, Hagrid."
Koresh repeated another sentence.
"Look at these eyes."
Hagrid ignored it.
"Are you all corpses? Didn't feel anything wrong? You could feel that they would stare at you, right? Please, who said something!"
"Yes, I feel... its eyes seem to move."
A Wendigo attendant murmured awkwardly.
"I can't hear clearly, speak louder!"
"This is one of the oldest temples of the blood worship in the New World. It's not surprising that anything happens, but the guardians of the temple are dead, and they don't have any threat."
Koresh hopes to get to the point and end Hagrid's one-man show as soon as possible.
"Yes, that's right, Hagrid knows it, thank you, Xiami... But this eye, you must know something."
Hagrid leaped down the steps. Several team members exclaimed vigilantly, but the huge Oak did not overturn or smash any crumbling pottery bowl.
"I think this thing is alive. Keep your distance and don't come close."
"Done?"
"If you move closer, like I did, you will find traces of carvings on it, a ring on the edge, and a dot in the middle."
"What does it represent?"
Koresh asked pretentiously.
"You can make it represent whatever you want."
Hagrid shouted, pointing at Koresh and looking at Ur.
"He is completely lifting the bar!"
"It represents the Eye of God."
Suddenly, a team member said nervously.
"The only one who knows everything."
Koresh stared at Howur, his scorching gaze unabated under the stained glass of the goggles.
"This is a family."
He said softly.
"They represent a bloodline, a family portrait in sculptural form. You can see the gender distinction, height difference, and location distribution, from which you can infer kinship, family status and personal responsibilities..."
Koresh paced down the steps and looked up at the statues.
"...The two statues in the first place are the tallest, one man and one woman. They are highly respected. Underneath are many children, possibly two generations, including their respective families and servants. The eldest son and eldest daughter are of higher status. It is a family that records the heritage of blood."
"I don't care about your strange so-called family."
Ur grunted.
"What might they be guarding?"
Koresh walked past Ur and looked at the altar.
"Let me tell you, this is a tomb, and the one hidden behind the statue is...a tomb."
After speaking, he sighed, as if his whole body was discouraged.
"Oh, I know you Xiami likes to bury it in the soil after death."
"This is the tomb of the Waterley family."
Koresh almost babbled the next words.
"This family is the first immigrants to arrive in the New World, and the number even accounts for one-third of the number of colonists. So far few people can understand why this ancient family would travel across oceans to a strange land. "
He came to the altar and tried to pick up a book, but only when he touched it, the heavy pages instantly turned into ashes.
"Their family has long been corrupted. They are seeds. They will sow the corruption on the ground. In order to corrupt this land... The Waterley family has long since disappeared in history, but their blood is not there."
"What do you want to say?"
Koresh turned around abruptly, looked at Ur with a blank face, and whispered:
"I want to say... The Waterley family is the real sacrifice of the Blood Bronze Gate. No matter how much other people die, they can't complete this ritual. This is the curse of their family imprinted in the blood! They are the food on the Blood God's table. !"
"But didn't you say that they are all finished."
"No! The Waterley family just disappeared from people's sight, but their ancient bloodline has not been cut off, and they are even spreading widely. As the earliest colonists, no one knows how many people have meager Water. The blood of the Lei family."
"so?"
Ur frowned, feeling things complicated.
"So... if the overlord wants to prevent the blood bronze gate from appearing, he can only kill everyone... everyone on this continent!"
