Overturned Tower

Final words: Huayu’s Bird of Paradise

If "Caged Bird" is the prologue to the birth of "Ultramarine", it would be better to say that "Purple Ink" is the "first volume" where the plot just begins... But let's just treat it as the second volume.

Specifically, this is a story about "Purple Ink."

A story about people using “identity tags” to get to know each other. This is roughly what I want to write.

Just like when Russell saw the Bird of Paradise for the first time, he regarded her as an angel; just like when Hangzhou saw the barber in the dream world, he immediately regarded him as a born uncensored person. Even Tovatus's elf ears are themselves a kind of "purple ink".

As I said when I put it on the shelf, the concept of "purple ink" from "Purple and Black" itself has nothing to do with the story of the second volume, but it runs through the entire volume.

So the story "Purple Ink" that I previewed in my acceptance speech became "Purple Ink" itself. So much so that everyone would guess that the story of this volume is related to "What is purple ink"... In fact, it has nothing to do with this word at all, but from another aspect, it is related from beginning to end.

I quite like this meta element.

Another inspiration I want to share is about paradise birds.

The role of "Paradise Bird" was initially given to me by Tian Zelu as a supporting role. But when I saw this code name, I had new inspiration and thought of a real name suitable for the paradise bird, which directly gave birth to the story of the second volume.

What was the specific inspiration?

That is the real name of the bird of paradise.

I saw a friend say, "The name Huayu is very Chinese." In fact, this is indeed the case... because the real name comes from "Hua Yu's Paradise Bird".

This is a poem by Mr. Dai Wangshu called "Paradise Bird".

The whole poem is not long, so I will just put it here:

"Flying, flying, spring, summer, autumn, winter,

Day and night, endless,

The feathered paradise bird,

Is this a happy wandering, or is it eternal hard labor?

When you are thirsty, you drink dew,

Even when you are hungry, you drink dew,

The feathered paradise bird,

This is a delicacy from the gods,

Or is it because of homesickness for heaven?

It comes from paradise,

Or go to paradise?

The feathered paradise bird,

In the vast blue sky,

Do you also feel that your journey is lonely?

If you came from paradise,

Can you tell us?

The feathered paradise bird,

Since Adam and Eve were expelled,

How desolate are the gardens in heaven? "

This is a symbolist poem written by Mr. Dai Wangshu. Compared with the extremely harmonious musical beauty of "Rain Alley", it uses symbolism to make it hazy and clear enough, intentional and easy to understand at the same time. It is also a masterpiece.

It is different from the intention expressed in the original poem. The main thing that struck me here was the sentence "Are you coming from paradise, or are you going to paradise?"

As the mechanical angel of the Cyber Church, the father of Paradise Bird himself came from "Paradise" and went to the human world. As the "Paradise Bird" herself, she travels from the human world to paradise.

This is a wonderful coincidence.

Therefore, before I knew about Tien Lü as the provider of the sidekick, I had decided to write the real name of Paradise Bird as "Hua Yu". As a tribute to this source of inspiration.

So when I think back, the vast blue sky seems to be Russell as the "ultramarine"... That lonely road, that "happy wandering or eternal hard labor" is exactly what the Bird of Paradise has been doing to save others since its birth. It is a portrayal of a life of action; the dew she drinks when she is hungry and thirsty is indeed a kind of "fairy delicacy" and at the same time a "homesickness for heaven".

Because that is where the power of Holy Order comes from. It is a sacrifice to God, and it is also what the mechanical angels do and do.

This volume is inspired by these two masterpieces.

Thank you all for your support of Topple Tower.

After that, Mao also shared my inspiration and creative ideas for this volume at the end of each volume.

We have a day off tomorrow as a fixed holiday at the end of each month.

It will be updated normally at noon the day after tomorrow. It can be fattened and killed.

Brother Meng, please remember to read more. It is possible to fatten a cat to death...

I plan to practice writing more with this book, so Caged Bird has a completely different structure from Purple Ink, and the next volume will still have a different structure from these two volumes.

However, in the next volume, Mao is going to attend a training course at Lu Academy... Although the class schedule has not been released yet, I predict that by the time of the third volume, I may take more leave. But in the end it should be a story within 200,000 words and completed in about a month.

Finally, here is the preview of the title of the third volume:
