First of all, I admit that the number of words in the final book is indeed a bit small. I apologize to the masters.

According to the outline at the beginning of the book, this book should be about 2 million to 3 million words.

However, during the writing process, I often received rumors and comments from old readers, saying that the later stages of the first two books were a bit depressing, and the protagonists did not seem to have a very good ending.

At first, I didn't agree. I personally think that Zhang Chu and Chen Sheng in the first two books got what they wanted at the end of the book, and this was their best ending... I still believe that seeking benevolence and getting benevolence is the greatest success in life.

It's just that after hearing so much, I began to reflect and felt that the gentlemen paid money to read novels, just to be happy and happy. There is really no need to make things difficult for the gentlemen for the sake of story and literary quality, even if this is not my original intention, and it should not be.

After thinking it through, I started to cut the outline and tried to give each important character a good ending...

Well, the plan at the beginning of the book was a total of six volumes.

But looking back, the ending now is pretty good...

Finally, let's talk about the new book...

My plan is to take a two-month break first, and start preparing for the new book at the end of July. If everything goes well, the new book should be available to you at the end of August.

But this time may not be accurate, because I only have one book in my mind now, and I don't have much desire to write that book. I may need to read more books, recharge, and find the feeling.

Well, the only thing that is certain is that I may temporarily say goodbye to martial arts themes in the next book, and write something more relaxing to slow down my brain...

I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been writing for too long or I’m really getting old. I’ve been feeling more and more powerless in writing books in the past two years. I have an outline and know what to write at this time point, but I just can’t find the picture in my mind...

I don’t know how other authors write books, but I often feel that I’m actually doing the work of a director. Almost every chapter strives to use the most concise description to lead the masters into the space I describe, so that the masters can feel the warmth of the sun shining on their bodies, let the masters smell the good smell in the air, and let the masters also walk into the Yuelai Inn to drink a cup of tea and watch them play mahjong...

There are often masters who say that Xiaolou is a literary youth, but to be honest, I have never deliberately been a literary youth, and I have never had the idea of ​​showing off my skills.

I always write books by substitution, that is, I will try very hard to put myself into the protagonist's past experiences and current environment to capture his current mood.

This writing method sometimes causes his words and deeds to be contrary to the expectations of the masters... Because in my heart, he is a real person, and people are complex and multifaceted, not just pretending to be cool all the time.

For example, the character Zhao Miao was positioned as a sister and mascot at the beginning.

But when I was writing about the time before the battle of Guangmingding, I suddenly felt that there was Miaomiao in Yang Erlang's heart... With Yang Erlang's experience and character, there is no such thing as love at first sight, nor is there the impulse to pursue someone just because he is too outstanding. What can move him is only the silent companionship. In this regard, Miaomiao really did a great job.

Then I was scolded for several days and dared not look at the backstage...

It's really not that I want to go against the masters. I make a living by writing books, and there is no reason to go against the masters.

It's true that when it comes to that point, he should do that thing... As for the negative impact of him doing that thing, if he cares and is bound by it, then he can't become the best in the world.

This way of writing is really too laborious.
