Chapter 173 Sky Light as a Curtain

Chapter 173 Skylight as Curtain

All the light disappeared. On this New Year's Eve night, Naruto remembered that he had seen the clock on the wall before the power outage, and it was about eleven o'clock.

It was obviously unrealistic to wait for a call. If the heavy snow damaged the equipment outside, it would have to wait until tomorrow. Everything was dark in front of him, and he suddenly remembered that there was a candle in the drawer.

So I got up and knocked over something with a crash.

".That." Ino suddenly became nervous and could hear the slight vibrato in her voice.

"Yeah." He turned to look in the direction of the sofa and subconsciously replied, "What's wrong?"

The light in the living room was very dark, and after his eyes got used to the darkness, he could only see a vague outline. The remaining images before the power outage were still in his mind, so Naruto could easily determine Ino's location.

He thought to himself that a ninja should not be afraid of the dark, or it might be due to other factors, and he was not used to the sudden power outage.

"It's okay, it's just me." Ino said, her voice became weaker and weaker.

"Are you afraid of the dark?"

"Don't be afraid, the power suddenly went out and I felt a little uncomfortable."

He knew best whether there were candles in this place, it was just a matter of taking the opportunity to touch it for a while.

When people are nervous, a slight bitterness accumulates in the throat and tip of the tongue, and they have little energy to speak.

"Really?" Ino's voice trembled slightly, and he took out his hand again and started groping on the table above the cabinet. Suddenly, he felt another arm.

But Ino didn't dare to move and let his palms be kneaded and played with.

With a heavy breath, time began to flow again.

Kyuubi did not move away from his nest during the entire process. He glanced at the two of them with contempt, picked up the bottle with his paws, and drank the remaining sips of wine in one gulp.

"That's fine." Naruto responded.

"Is it over here?"

Ino squatted down and started to pull out the cabinet and asked, groping inside the cabinet little by little. There was something strange about being in the dark, weakening vision and making the other four senses more sensitive.

"Let's go over there and look for it, maybe we can find it."

"Did you find it?" Her voice was trembling, and there was mist in her eyes, so she had to close them.

"Wait a minute. There should be boiling water in the kitchen. I'll make you a cup of cocoa."

I originally thought that Ino would refuse righteously, but it would not be surprising if that was the case. After all, he is very self-aware, and in Ino's opinion, he is probably in the top three of the most dangerous things.

The power went out, and the temperature in the living room naturally dropped. Ino, who was wrapped in a bathrobe, couldn't help but tremble, and Naruto also realized the coldness.

"Then you still drink?"

"Well" Ino suddenly closed her eyes tightly.

I couldn't help but start to mutter in my heart, the stupidity of human beings is far beyond their imagination.

"I just want to know what the taste of your favorite drink is. If I drink your cup directly, you might beat me to death, so I can only settle for the next best thing."

After a few minutes, seeing Naruto still rummaging around in the dark, Ino couldn't help but stand up and ask.

"No, don't."

After saying that, he stood up and pulled Ino up. He was already playing with it, but he still pretended that nothing happened and said it naturally.

Naruto took away the palm that was covering her forehead, coughed and his expression returned to normal. He smiled and said to Ino.

Tears welled up in her eyes, her delicate and fair face was hot and red, her lips were slightly deflated, and she exhaled white breath unconsciously.

Ino finally reacted, shook his hand gently, and said in a trembling voice with a hint of begging.

So Kyuubi leaned on the sofa, tilted his head, and stared at the two stupid humans with a sneer on his face, ready to watch the show.

It wasn't until Naruto brought two cups of steaming cocoa that she subconsciously said thank you.

After Naruto lit the candle, he stood up again and lit another candle. He stood up and carried it into the kitchen, talking as he walked.

"I don't like drinking it. It's sweet and greasy. I'd rather drink water than drink this stuff." Naruto said, "Usually only girls like you like it to supplement sugar or something like that."

He stood up and said to Ino.

It was made from the sharp sword and kunai in the hand, but the rest of the palm was soft. The hand was cold, Naruto thought to himself, so he could only rely on his own heat transfer.

What a shame! Being seen like that! I really want to die! She was speechless when she thought like this.

"It should be in a few cabinets nearby, but I haven't found it yet." Naruto's slightly distressed voice came, "I'll wait a little longer."

Ino wanted to say no, but her heart was beating fast.

Stupid humans, it thought.

This man talks the same thing. If she says he doesn't mind, he will definitely drink the same drink with her openly. If he says he doesn't mind, he might say something weird again.

"Ah? Why?"

"Can't find it?"

"You go to my room and sleep."

"Don't you like cocoa?" Ino held a cup filled with hot cocoa, her hands gradually getting warmer.

He suddenly realized that Ino had not said anything yet, so it was really easy to deceive him. In line with the principle of not taking advantage of others, he continued to pretend to look for candles.

"Okay." Ino stood up and started to move, letting Naruto lead her forward in the dark environment.

Naruto had already led Ino and moved slowly to the small cabinet in front of the floor-to-ceiling window on the balcony. Ino's hands were a little cold, and there was a layer of cocoon around the tiger's mouth.

"I think I see where the candle is."

"Yeah." Ino's mood has not completely calmed down, and the aftertaste is still coming one after another. She didn't hear clearly what Naruto said, so she just responded.

An electric current flowed from the palm of the hand to the heart, and a numbing feeling poured into the brain. Almost instantly, Ino felt that she could hardly stand. Her body was so soft, as if she had been drunk.

"Would you like to open the curtains? If it snows, the light outside will be brighter than in the living room." He turned around and asked, already holding one end of the curtains with his other hand.

"Then where do you sleep?"

It thought about it for a while, should it hold the candle in its mouth? But then it thought about whether it really was a dog, and decisively gave up the idea.

"Okay." Ino really sat there without moving, looking at the darkness that shrouded the living room and became quiet. There was a rustling sound next to her ears, followed by the sound of the cabinet being opened.

He has probably been labeled as someone who can never be trusted, something like that.

Kyuubi, who was leaning on the sofa, had a puzzled look on his face. With its excellent night vision, it glanced at the two people holding hands in the dark, and then at the candle placed on the counter.

His other hand seemed to be continuing to search for candles in the dark. Ino could hear the sound of things being thrown around, but she also felt the familiar body heat in the palm of his hand.

"No." Naruto had already touched the candle and put it aside. "Maybe I forgot it, maybe it was placed in the cabinet over the balcony."

So Ino stood up silently and moved a little further away from Naruto.

"Okay." Ino suddenly pulled out his hand and lowered his head with a guilty conscience.

Naruto smiled, sat down opposite her, took a sip of cocoa and said.

"Let me help you find it together. It's quite boring to sit here." Ino said, already walking toward the cabinet in the dark."

After touching it for a while, Naruto felt something was wrong. Ino was too silent. He paused in his mind and thought to himself, maybe he was really angry?

Naruto: "."

"The quilt in the guest room is very thin. There is a power outage and there is no heating. You will catch a cold if you sleep there." Naruto explained patiently, "The quilt in my room is thicker, so..."

But it was already too late, the curtains were opened with a crash, and the light reflected from the snowy night instantly increased the visibility of the entire living room. Then with this weak light, he saw Ino's current state.

The light that hit us was reflected by the snow and came from the balcony through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The two people stood together holding hands, one on the left and one on the right.

Ino also sat over, leaning on the sofa closest to the candlelight, and her expression had returned to calm.

Seeing this, Naruto was slightly stunned and covered her forehead with his other hand.

Then with a hazy light, Naruto walked to the original cabinet with ease, picked up the candle, and lit it with a lighter. The bright yellow candle light lit up, illuminating a corner.

"It should be." Naruto's voice rang in her ears.

Surprisingly, Ino did not refuse, but asked after a moment of silence.

He carefully held the candle at an angle, burned out a little wax oil, and then dripped it on the table in the living room. After a second's pause, he pressed the candle on the wax oil.

The eyes were dark, the vision was completely lost, and the sound of Naruto rummaging around the counter could be heard in his ears. After that, he was held like this, and he didn't speak.

Ino slowly opened her eyes and saw the strange emotions overflowing from his blue eyes. That was an emotion that only she could understand, which was the light in love.

Then her backhand was held, her body trembled violently, and she made a sound from her mouth.

"What's wrong?" Naruto looked as if nothing had happened.

"Are you not sick?"

The hand covering her forehead did not let go immediately, and the flow of time seemed to slow down at this moment. Snowflakes fell outside the balcony, but seemed to fall on the shoulders of the two of them.

"That's good, I'll get the candles, you sit here and don't move." Naruto warned.

The skylight acted as a curtain, and the silhouettes of the two people leaned on the sofa and stretched infinitely, past Kyuubi watching the show. They leaned together on the empty white wall, like a couple in love.

"That's too exaggerated! I'm like that." Ino said and paused, then frowned.

"Ah?" This was a question he hadn't thought about. Of course he was thinking that it would be nice if they could sleep together, but he still couldn't say this out loud.

After hesitating for a few seconds, he frowned and said.

"There is a thick blanket in the fox dog's room, so I have to give it a hard time."

I'll take the time to write a side story tomorrow.
