Chapter 669 Teaching Theory

The religious reform movement initiated by Martin Luther in the 16th century caused countries such as England and Germany in Europe to break away from Catholicism and convert to Protestantism. As a result, Catholicism lost a large number of believers in Europe.

In response to the religious reform movement, Catholic fanatics launched the Counter-Reformation and established new religious orders for revival. At the same time, they sent a large number of missionaries to the East to preach to India and China in order to restore the loss of European faith.

Among them, the most influential one is “the Jesuits founded in Paris in 1534 by the Spanish Saint Ignatius Loyola.

In response to the turbulent European religious reform movement, the Jesuits imitated military discipline and formulated strict rules.

Among them, the monks not only strictly abide by the "absolute wealth", "absolute beauty", "absolute will" and "three wishes", they also unconditionally obey the Pope and perform all tasks assigned by him.

Since the first Jesuit missionary Luo Mingjian, Matteo Ricci, Ai Julius, Tang Ruowang and others have successively rushed to China to preach.

Nowadays, the outstanding sinologist Matteo Ricci is in charge of China's educational affairs. In order to lower the vigilance of Confucian students, he adopted the missionary policy of "integrating Confucianism", "supplementing Confucianism" and finally "super Confucianism".

For this reason, in the process of translating teachings, missionaries such as Matteo Ricci deliberately did not mention the crucifixion of Jesus and other plots that were difficult for traditional thinking to accept. On the other hand, they deliberately mixed the traditional Chinese supreme god into the scriptures.

He claimed that "my God is the so-called God in the ancient scriptures" and "after reading the ancient books, I know that God and God have different names."

Matteo Ricci's method is simple. He is just taking advantage of the information gap between the two parties to play the trick of occupying the magpie's nest, substituting the peach for the peach, and boiling the frog in warm water to replace the status of Confucianism.

However, if it starts with you, it won’t end with you. As the saying goes, "When you stare into the abyss, the abyss is also staring into you." If you plan to use Li Daitao to kill others, how do you know that others will not wait for the opportunity to turn against you?

In fact, Matteo Ricci's method is also highly controversial within the Jesuits and the Catholic Church. However, if the "naturalization strategy" is not adopted, I am afraid that even the teaching will not be passed on, so for now, Matteo Ricci's method has the upper hand.

Zhang Shun had previously learned about the teachings transmitted by missionaries of this era through Governor Zhang and Han Lin. He suddenly discovered that they were completely different from the Christian teachings he had understood piecemeal in his previous life.

He keenly discovered that the teachings transmitted by missionaries in this era lacked some plots of the crucifixion of Jesus and had more so-called "doctrine" based on Confucianism.

He couldn't help but secretly rejoiced, and thought to himself: "Since you want to use Confucianism as your skin and steal the beams for the pillars, then don't blame me for exchanging the prince for the prince and digging up your roots."

"Heresy, heresy!" Gao Yizhi, a foreign devil, seemed to have lost his mind when he heard this and forced Zhang Shun to debate the scriptures.

Governor Zhang had already come into contact with these "Western French parties" and had heard about their so-called heavenly religion. Now seeing that Gao Yizhi was in despair and lost his dignity, he quickly pulled him away and cursed: "Who among you, how dare you do this to King Shun?"

Zhang Shun straightened his clothes, endured the discomfort of his fingers, and wrote with a stroke of brush: "Heaven is the supreme god in the world, the only god, and his ways are impartial, ruthless, desireless, and asking for nothing! Therefore, there are mortals who take their own hearts for granted. Taking Heaven's heart into consideration and pretending to be one's own heart is truly treason and immorality, and one should be punished for his crime!"

"As the Son of Heaven, I am appointed by Heaven to be in charge of human affairs. Therefore, I have to correct the meaning of the scriptures and punish those who disobey them!"

"In ancient times, there was a saying that a blind man touched an elephant. This is what the saying goes. The way of heaven is so great, so extreme, and even infinite. How can it be exhausted by human power? Those people can only touch a hair and say they know it. How can they be so arrogant and arrogant?"

"As the Son of Heaven, I dare not claim to know everything about the world, let alone the way of heaven?"

Seeing Zhang Shun humiliated Tianjiao, Han Lin was also very angry. Just after hearing Zhang Shun's remarks, his eyes lit up and he felt a little shaken in his heart.

It’s no wonder that Han Lin is like this. First of all, he is a Han Chinese with the same culture and ethnicity. He is proficient in the articles of ancient sages and sages, and can have a deeper understanding and sense of belonging to Zhang Shun’s words;

Secondly, his initial idea of studying Tianjiao was also to "complement Confucianism". Using "Tianjiao" to supplement "Confucianism" is naturally beneficial. However, Zhang Shun directly dug out the foundation of the two religions, which is even more Better than that.

It turns out that over the past three generations, China has embarked on a transformation of religious philosophy. The most typical one is that during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, some philosophical classics that discussed "Heaven" and "Tao" in ancient times began to appear.

The works of Confucianism and Taoism are all of this kind, which also opened the secular society of ancient China.

The Jesuits headed by Matteo Ricci went in the opposite direction, trying to re-religiously deify the "Heaven", "Tao" and "God" that had been philosophicalized. Although this opened a new door for Confucian scholars, it still felt very awkward.

However, Zhang Shun's method is very simple. He directly re-philosophizes "Heaven", "Tao", "God" and "God" from the root.

What is heaven? What is Tao? What is God? It is the law of nature, everything in the universe, matter and consciousness.

Concepts such as "Heaven", "Tao", "God", and "God", which originally had some remaining religious ideas in traditional thinking, were completely liberated in Zhang Shun's mouth, and naturally he was exposed to 70% to 80% of philosophy since childhood. Han Lin's traditional thinking feels more reasonable and real.

Gao Yizhi was shocked when he saw that Han Lin, whom he had worked hard to preach for many years, was shaken. He couldn't help but rely on his theological level to ask: "God is supreme and unique, who are you?"

"I am the emperor!"

"Then who is Jesus?" Gao Yizhi asked sarcastically.

"Prophet too!"

"Wrong, Jesus is the Son of Heaven and also God!" Gao Yizhi couldn't help laughing, "The ancestor of mankind, Adam, did not listen to God's words, which led to the fall of mankind. In order to save mankind, God came down to earth as Jesus, suffered on behalf of mankind, suffered and died. . Therefore, humans can only be sinless if they are 'justified by faith'!"

Hearing this, Zhang Shun couldn't help but practice his pen and wrote seven big characters: "Hahahahahahaha!"

Immediately after a pause, he continued to write: "This is what I just said about judging the mind of heaven by one's own mind. We Chinese people have been taught by saints and practice the virtues of benevolence and righteousness, so we are not guilty. We are not like you and other Europas. People who engage in robbery and plunder are inherently evil and do not obey the teachings of saints, so they are guilty.”

After finishing writing, Zhang Shun wrote another piece of paper to express Han Lin's words: "This is just like when we have children of low status in the Ming Dynasty. In the past, we offended Zhu Yuanzhang, the ancestor of the Ming Dynasty, and were punished. Therefore, we have become low status from generation to generation." .”

"But we, the people of China, neither plunder nor kill, are like soldiers and civilians, and are just ordinary people. We are just ordinary people who only talk to us. We are sinful by nature. Isn't it absurd to act in a submissive manner?"

When Han Lin heard this, he suddenly understood and quickly distanced himself from Gao Yizhi to avoid tarnishing his identity and blurring the etiquette of dignity and inferiority.
