Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 354 - Deprived

Depriving them of their spatial ring was the best thing Shane could have done. Everything important had to be inside!

Their mana imprint might be on the spatial ring, preventing him from accessing them, but there should also be enough valuable assets inside.

As such, the group he had defeated would definitely pursue him once they had recuperated. At least, if they wanted to retrieve their equipment.

Except for their finances, not even their cultivation resources were safe and sound anymore.

Shane found that his idea to steal the defeated opponent's spatial rings was perfect.

That way it was more likely for them to be enraged, if he were to take away their spatial rings and their pursuit would allow Shane to gather more angry people around him!

He was not in a hurry to finish his mission, and could simply hunt one group a day.

However, in order to complete his mission a little bit earlier, thereby preventing a possible failure, Shane wanted to increase his pace a little bit, not by much, but enough to spare a one week to make up for mistakes.

Even if Shane was confident in his strength and ability to enrage other people, being too self-confident would turn into arrogance which made mistakes a likely occurrence.

Once he had defeated the first group, he vanished from their sight while informing Princess Ilya about his progress.

Ilya didn't have a specific mission to solve. As such, she wanted to accumulate more value points to receive a better reward.

Because of that, she was looking for small groups with high value points, or even those who were running around alone.

At the same time, she informed Shane about every small group with an average of less than 100 value points.

They had to search for other opponents if they wanted to enter the fifth floor of the fluare tower dungeon.

This was very helpful to Shane, who had just encountered the second group he had wanted to deprive of their value points and spatial rings.

From the looks of it, the group consisted of around 10 beings of the same race, though he was unable to pinpoint the race's name.

Nevertheless, according to the mana fluctuations he sensed, their mana purity had an average of 93% and no single member had it above 95%.

However, at the same time, their value points were barely above 100. This astonished Shane a lot, and he couldn't help but stare at them weirdly.

Yet, instead of avoiding the group, Shane summoned Cosmo, who had manifested a spatial portal in front of him, and less than 10 meters above the group of 10 he was about to attack.

Suddenly, Umbra shot out of Shane's chest the moment he had commanded before his tamed beast emerged from the spatial portal.

He crashed into the oblivious group that had barely perceived the spatial portal.

Seeing a 130-meter-long snake appearing out of nowhere was not something everyone could digest easily.

But that was not everything!

Just a second after Umbra had jumped through the spatial portal, Shane had followed suit.

After Shane used every means to increase his strength, his threat rivaled that of Umbra's.

Rather than that, Shane's bloodlust-killing-intent was denser and more intimidating than the ferocious aura Umbra radiated.

Taken by surprise, the group of 10 was unable to take out their weapons fast enough as Umbra landed on them, bulldozing the group with his heavy weight.

Not everyone was hit by Umbra's weight which was suffocating and obstructed them from even the simplest of the movements.

Because of this advantage, Shane had gained a few seconds in which he was able to attack the remaining group members.

They were still surprised, but instead of remaining idle, their instincts allowed them to suppress the astonishment and trace of fear that had manifested within them.

Every attack that would kill someone would be deteriorated by the fluare tower dungeon. However, at the same time, the dungeon would knock out those that would have been 'killed'.

This was the only fair measurement the dungeon provided, and Shane was more than satisfied with this.

In the end, there was no need for him to hold back, or change his highly lethal combat style.

It was as simple as killing everyone, only to knock them out.

Right now, his mind was calm and his thoughts clear. The fewer opponents he had to face at once, the better.

As such, he killed the four opponents that seemed to be the most distracted before he started to attack the opponents that had been buried into the ground by Umbra's weight.

Umbra had already slightered away, while utilizing his ability in order to manifest more than a hundred darkness spears.

They had pierced into his opponents, knocking out three more.

As such, after only a half a minute, there were only three opponents left.

At that moment, Shane replaced the Sword of Blood, with the bow of destruction, Alaran, and three arrows.

Yet, instead of shooting them at his opponents, he aimed the arrows in three different directions.

One above him, one in front of him, and one right next to him.

This confused the remaining foes who stared at Shane and Umbra threateningly, only to remember one specific detail they had forgotten!

There were not two, but three opponents who had attacked them.

They had just forgotten that there was a spatial affinity user in the shadows!

Cosmo was able to follow the trajectory of every arrow Shane had shot.

With that ability, he had been able to manifest a total of three sets of spatial portals.

There was one portal in front of every arrow and the second spatial portal of the set appeared around the three remaining members of the group.

Thus, forgetting the fact that Shane and Umbra were not alone, but that they had a spatial affinity user, Cosmo, the three individuals could only use their most powerful skills that had a long cooldown.

Defending against three simple arrows that targeted their vital spots shouldn't have been a problem, but Cosmo had turned the tables.

After having used their strong defensive skill, huge amounts of mana had been consumed.

Yet, instead of being able to retaliate against Shane and his tamed beasts, there was another volley of arrows and compressed darkness spears that flew towards them.

Unable to do anything but defend, they were pushed back with every arrow and spear of darkness that crashed into them.

The last three members' defense capabilities were dwindling visibly by the second, and they had been so shaken due to the unexpected attack that they had failed to notice Shane who had appeared behind them.

Cosmo had used his spatial affinity to bring him right behind their opponents, only for the Blood of Sword to manifest in Shane's hand.

With a faint smile on his lips, he slashed out after enhancing the sword with a large amount of mana.

The illusion of the three opponents being cut in half could be seen in front of Shane, only to be replaced by a deep cut on their bodies, as all three collapsed on the ground.

Shane had defeated the entire group within three minutes, which was a great feat.

Unfortunately, he couldn't take his time, let alone rest because others were marching towards him angrily!
