Chapter 53 Hunting down Voldemort (Part 1)
"Principal, it's really uneasy in the Forbidden Forest recently."
Hagrid brought his huge stone bow and a fully loaded quiver on his shoulder. He raised the lamp high at the edge of the Forbidden Forest and pointed at a narrow path that gradually disappeared into the depths of the black forest.
"Look over there," Hagrid said.
"Did you see that shiny thing on the ground? It's silvery white? I discovered it before Fox reported the news to me. It was the blood of a unicorn. A unicorn in the Forbidden Forest was injured by something. It was so injured.
It's very heavy. This is the second time in a week. I found one dead last Wednesday."
Dumbledore said: "This shows that he is indeed very weak. He is even willing to pay a huge price and drink the blood of unicorns many times to maintain his condition."
Snape tightened his grip on his wand.
"Severus, you'd better stay here and wait to meet us."
Dumbledore said, "We don't have much confidence that we can keep Voldemort here this time. You can't be exposed yet."
The other three deans also nodded. They all knew about Snape's identity as a former Death Eater, and they also knew that Dumbledore had other reasons why he was willing to keep Snape. If Voldemort cannot be kept this time, then let Snape
It was unnecessary for Nap to directly oppose him.
"ok, I get it."
Snape lowered his head and stood aside.
The Forbidden Forest was dark and silent. They walked silently, staring at the ground. From time to time, a ray of moonlight fell from the branches above, illuminating a silver-blue blood stain on the fallen leaves.
Luo Cheng could see that Hagrid was a little anxious.
"Hagrid, it's okay, we have Dumbledore."
Luo Cheng showed that he also wanted to hunt down Voldemort together. He followed Hagrid closely, followed by the other three deans, and finally Dumbledore.
"I know." Hagrid sighed, "I'm not worried about myself, but those poor unicorns. I just said how could there be creatures that can hurt them in the Forbidden Forest..."
They walked past a mossy tree stump. The sound of gurgling water could be heard here. Apparently, there was a stream somewhere nearby. There were still specks of unicorn blood scattered on the winding path.
"That unicorn is seriously injured and can't go very far - no, everyone, be careful!"
Hagrid pulled out an arrow, mounted it on the stone bow, and raised it to shoot. Several others also pulled out their wands and got ready for battle.
"Who's there?" Hagrid shouted, "Come out quickly - I'm armed!"
The thing walked into the open space in response. The person who came was a human from the waist up, with red hair and beard, but below the waist it was a brown-red shiny horse body, with a long red tail trailing behind.
"Oh, it turns out to be you, Ronan."
Hagrid breathed a sigh of relief.
"How are you?" He stepped forward and shook hands with the centaur.
"Good evening, Hagrid," Ronan said. His voice was low and sad. "You want to shoot me with a bow and arrow?"
"We have to be more vigilant, Ronan," Hagrid said, patting his quiver. "There is a very bad guy moving around in this forest, and we are looking for him. Oh, by the way, this guy
This is Professor Luo Cheng, who is new to Hogwarts. You already know the other professors."
"Hello, I'm Luo Cheng."
Luo Cheng made a brief self-introduction. Centaurs are all very temperamental. He had no intention of mentioning that he was still the director of the Centaur Liaison Office. Centaurs did not care about the appointment of the Ministry of Magic.
"Hello, I'm Ronan. Oh, there are three deans and Dumbledore here too."
Ronan sighed. He raised his head and stared at the sky.
"You are all here, no wonder the Mars is so bright tonight."
"In astronomy, bright Mars is not a good sign. We are also here to solve a big problem."
Dumbledore said, "Hagrid told us that a unicorn was attacked in the Forbidden Forest recently, and we also found fresh unicorn blood on the way here. Did you see anything?"
Ronan didn't answer immediately. He stared upwards without blinking, and then sighed again.
"It is always the innocent who suffer first," he said. "This has been the case for hundreds of years, and it is still the case now."
