Promotion and salary increase start at Hogwarts

Chapter 71: Harry's Depressed Summer Vacation (Part 2)

Mr. and Mrs. Mason, Mr. Vernon Dursley, had been bragging to the family for a month as their important guests. It was said that Mr. Mason was a very wealthy builder, and Vernon went to great lengths to invite him and his wife.

Come to the house as a guest. Because Vernon hopes that Mr. Mason can order a large number of goods from his company if he is in a good mood.

"I think we should go over the evening's plans again."

Uncle Vernon said happily. Feeling that his serious problem was solved, he felt that the sun was shining brighter and the big stone that was weighing on his heart had disappeared.

"At eight o'clock in the evening, everyone should be in their places. Penny, should you?"

"In the living room," answered Aunt Petunia, "waiting to give them a friendly welcome."

"Very well dear, what about Dudley?"

"I'm waiting to open the door for them."

Dudley put on a disgustingly artificial smile.

"Shall I hold your clothes for you, Mr. and Mrs. Mason?"

Dudley also put on a non-physical performance. Dudley himself was intoxicated by it, but Harry couldn't help but feel embarrassed for him and wanted to dig his feet into the ground.

"They'll love him!"

Aunt Petunia said ecstatically when she saw that her precious son had such abilities.

"Great, Dudley, I'm proud of you."

Uncle Vernon smiled broadly, then suddenly turned to Harry with an expressionless face.

"how about you?"

"I would stay in my bedroom, not make a sound, and pretend I wasn't home."

Harry said dryly.

"That's not enough!" Uncle Vernon said viciously.

"Mr. and Mrs. Mason don't know you at all, so you don't need to pretend that you're not at home, because you shouldn't be at home at that time! Couldn't you send that damn owl to No. 8 Privet Drive for foster care? Then you might as well send it to No. 8 Privet Drive for foster care."

Stay there for a while, wait until Mr. and Mrs. Mason leave before you come back!"

"But--"

"No buts!"

Uncle Vernon said forcefully, then ignored Harry and turned to Aunt Petunia: "I will take them to the living room and introduce them to you, and then you will announce that dinner is ready. After dinner, you take Mrs. Mason back to the living room.

Over coffee, I'll bring the conversation to the rig. If I'm lucky, I'll have the signed and sealed agreement in hand before the ten o'clock news. By this time tomorrow we'll be shopping for a villa in Majorca

Already."

Harry was not very excited because he didn't think the Dursleys would like him any more when they arrived at the villa in Majorca than they did on Privet Drive.

"Okay - I'll go to town to get Dudley and my dress. What about you?" he shouted at Harry, "and don't get in your aunt's way while she does the laundry. Just take your damn owl with you now."

No. 8 Privet Drive! By the way, cover the bird cage with black cloth! Don’t let the neighbors see it!”

Half an hour later, Harry came out of the back door carrying the birdcage. The weather outside was clear and the sun was shining brightly.

Today was supposed to be his birthday, but there was no card, no gift, and he couldn't stay in his room tonight. He stared sadly at the hedge. He had never felt so lonely. He missed his best friend so much.

Ron Weasley missed everything else in Hogwarts, even Quidditch. But Ron didn't seem to miss him at all. He didn't write to him during the whole summer vacation, and Ron even said he wanted to invite him.

Lee is visiting his house!
