Kalaini and Lucas stood side-by-side watching Xina.

"So, what are we supposed to do now?" Kalaini asked.

"I don't know," Lucas admitted, "this is new to me too."

[Useless]

The system suddenly spoke.

[What is your question?] It asked.

"We would like to know where Kali is located," Lucas said.

[Please, state your request again,] The system repeated.

"Kali," Lucas repeated.

The system turned its light red and shook on the spot.

[Do you wish to see someone specific?] It asked.

"Yes," Lucas answered as he rolled his eyes, 'is this system mocking me again? Why is it so polite?' He thought.

*Ping*

A picture appeared on the screen of the crystal ball. It showed the cell of the underground prison.

"That's the cell," Lucas mumbled.

"Where is the cell?" Xina asked.

"In the basement of the house," Haya answered.

"So, we have to find the way to the basement?" Kalaini asked.

"I think so," Lucas nodded.

The system turned yellow, [please confirm your request.]

"Show us how to get to the basement," Lucas said.

The system turned bright green.

[Very well,]  the system spoke.

[There is no one in the basement,] it announced.

"How can you tell?" Kalaini asked.

[It is empty] the system answered.

"Where is the basement?" Lucas asked.

*Ping*

A map of the city appeared on the screen. A blinking dot indicated the location of the basement.

"Here," Haya pointed in the direction of the basement.

[You cannot enter that area,]  The system spoke, [you have to wait until tomorrow.]

"Is there anything else?" Lucas asked.

The system remained silent.

"Thank you," Lucas said as he sarcastically bowed his head.

[No problem,]  The system replied.

After the system had disappeared, Xina walked over to Lucas, "I'm sorry, I didn't realize it would be so hard to summon the system," she pouted.

"Haya said the system was in the basement," Lucas shrugged.

"Yeah, but it wasn't," Xina frowned, "the system is right here in this room."

"I guess so," Lucas shrugged again.

"Come on," she grabbed Lucas' arm, "come with me!"

Lucas followed Xina outside. He tried not to look at Kalaini who was standing next to him. Kalaini looked back at him and held her breath.

The foursome went outside and sat on the porch. They were waiting for Notru, but he was nowhere to be seen.

"He must still be inside," Lucas whispered to Xina.

"Maybe he's resting," Kalaini said with a smile, "either way, we have to get moving," she spoke while looking Lucas in the eyes.

"This way should be better," Haya spoke.

The map showed the location and the system didn't want them to go there today for a weird reason, it also looked obedient as if it was another device connected, something was suspicious and not right there.

He glanced at Lucas, Xina, Kalaini and looking at their expressionless faces he remembered, "Where's Lya?"

Lucas turned to Haya, "you're right, she disappeared in the morning and hasn't seen her since," he raised one of his eyebrows.

Last night he had a weird dream about her, and right now she's gone, 'interesting...' he thought.

"It's best if I bring it now," Haya sighed, "it was weird how Lya reacted when Izek returned, also I have a feeling that Raven has something to do with Lya, how else would she be able to kill that monster all by herself." He stated.

"It's also suspicious of how she managed to free every character's mind from the system here, something is not right." Xina interrupted.

"The elves are the strongest creatures here, we're also almost every single one of us connected to Izek, but even we couldn't break from the system so easily. Yet, everyone here is with an open mind," she added.

The cold wind blew through the grass, it was getting colder, and they still didn't have a clue of what they needed to do, the only thing they knew was that somehow, Lya was involved in this.

Kalaini was the first one to speak up, "we'll have to use that device,"

Lucas looked at her and with his eyes wider asked, "what device are you talking about?"

"The device that shows the path to the basement," Kalaini explained slowly, she wanted him to understand everything better and faster to save everyone's time.

"The one that was located in the kitchen," Haya added.

There was silence for a moment, "I wonder why we didn't notice it before," Lucas said.

"Because you're too busy playing with that crystal ball," Xina laughed.

"What if the system is only the outer layer, and the real place we need to go is somewhere else?" Kalaini asked.

"Then what should we do?" Lucas's clenched his jaw.

The system, Lya, Kali and a weird basement where she was locked. Lucas had so many questions right now and so little time. He knew well his priority and knew what he had to do, but didn't want to look selfish in front of everyone else here, "what is our plan then?" He asked hoping they would all agree to rescue Kali first.

"What was Kali's newly added skill?" Haya asked.

"hypnosis," Lucas immediately replied, as he always paid attention to her changes and little details about her.

"The one that Izek stole," Haya placed his hand on his chin and started rubbing it, "what if Kali used it against the people who kidnapped her?" He looked at Kalaini hoping she would add something to his statement.

The girls were close, they acted as a team and paid attention to each other, especially Kalaini who was the healer of this group and the one who healed them in order to escape from those monsters. She knew more than anyone else.

"That's possible," Lucas raised his eyebrow, "Kali is smart!"

"If she wanted to defeat someone, she could hypnotize them and make them forget about everything. Now she can control them," Kalaini nodded.

"I'm not sure if it will help, but I think we have to hope for it, the best-case scenario, she could turn into a dragon and burn everyone alive." Lucas finished.

He thought so, but what Lucas and the rest didn't know was that Kali could no longer turn into a dragon, or try to perform her hypnosis power. Kali was no longer there with them or in the game.
