Psycho X Psychic

Chapter 100 - What To Do While Camping?

Superhuman!

That was the keyword that Mike and Catherine needs to unlock their memories. In the past few days, they have had suspicions that they have forgotten something. It was at the tip of their tongue the entire time but they couldn't just get it out.

What is it? What is it that they forgot?

They just had a feeling that Teren was dangerous but how? Did he murder someone? No, they didn't remember such a thing. Did he do something to them?

Well, they vaguely remember being threatened before being 'bribed' Catherine even remembered that she got Tenren's number. Looking at her past logs, she found that she talked to Teren through texts in the recent past.

'How did I forget this?'

She thought. She remembered the pressure she felt when texting him. It was something about a deal that led to nothing in the messages. However, what deal?

There was still something that was greatly missing in Catherine's memory. Although they do remember their friends saying them bowing their heads to Teren, they do not recall it that much.

But now, when the thought about superhumans arrived in their heads, they finally remembered it - that encounter - Teren's fight against the Clade.

They froze as that mind-blowing scene came into their heads. The fear they got when Teren pointed his blade at them was what made them anxious about him.

Mike and Catherine looked at each other.

'So he(she) remembered it too...'

Immediately the pair stick to each other and talked.

"This is bad, this is really bad."

"Y-yeah, w-what should we do? What will happen to us?"

Mike said with trembling hands while Catherine replied as if about to cry.

"I think nothing will happen to us, two."

"W-what do you mean?"

"It's Dan, Eline, and Josh who are in danger." Mike gripped his fists.

"... you're right. If not for what they've done, this wouldn't happen. Teren didn't plan to d-do anything to us in the first place... I think. However, because they..." Catherine stopped as she was getting out of breath.

"Tsk! If only we remembered earlier, we would've explained it to them properly!"

Mike began to blame himself. It was for their sake that others provoked Teren. But while Catherine was breathing deeply to calm herself, she remembered something.

"That's right! The deal! Teren said he would something for us as long as we keep our mouth shut, right!? And until now, we haven't told anyone anything!"

Questioning why their memories were locked was not their priority right now.

"So... what do we even do when camping?"

Everyone stopped in their tracks when Teren posed a normal question.

Indeed, they were there with the idea of camping. However... the sun was still up. Although it was setting, it was far from night.

"Um... this is my first time camping but I brought a barbecue set and the others..." Mike raised his hand in response.

Just like how Dan will bring the van and Josh the tents, the others have something that they brought. Mike brought the barbeque set while Eline and Mira bought the food and drinks that's why they're together. Catherine brought playing cards and a speaker for music.

'I didn't bring anything and just tagged along...' Iesa guiltily thought.

Nick: 'I brought nothing...'

Hanon: 'I'm still in my teacher's suit.'

Teren: 'Oh, barbecue, nice!'

Although Iesa didn't hear Teren's thoughts, she heard the first two.

"Then, we should put up the tents then."

"Isn't there a nearby river? I actually brought my swimsuit just in case."

"I brought parasols too!"

The group began to be lively. The boys set up the tent while the girls, except Iesa, searched for a nearby river since there's one in Here City. They soon came back bringing the good news.

"There is one nearby!" Eline shouted and glanced at Hanon.

'W-wow, they're having fun...' Nick watched as Teren helped the boys put up the tents, bbq grill, and parasols.

Because of a teacher, Hanon's presence, the group felt their worries disappear, therefore, they began to take this chance to have to completely disperse their negative feelings. Mike and Catherine were always an exception as they were planning something.

"Teren... ummm, I didn't know what to say... but we're sorry." Josh confronted Teren.

When Teren brought a teacher, they began to feel guilty. They felt that Teren is an ally and that Nick is the common enemy.

Teren smiled and replied.

"It's okay."

Which others have yet to see until now.

"W-woah, so you can smile, huh. Sorry, again, I thought you're a very gloomy person." Josh replied and smiled back.

Dan entered the conversation and apologized too.

But the only reason Teren was able to respond to them with a smile was that he was in a good mood.

'This is wrong...' Hanon thought when he saw Teren being friendly to others. He clearly remembered what he and Teren agreed on back in the cafe. This was one of the reasons why Teren was in a good mood.

Iesa was just watching from the side, watching Teren and the others.

'Heh, enjoy Teren's sweet smile for now... although you're lives aren't worth it, I'll let it go even though I should be the one laughing with him and...'

The contents in her mind were vastly different from the indifference in the expression she was showing.

About the footprints, almost everyone forgot about it because that was the important part.

Hanon was worrying about the contract and what will happen once night falls.

Nick felt an outcast since he was seen as a common enemy even though he was no longer exerting his 'authority' He had already done his job, after all.

Mike and Catherine were looking for an opportunity to talk to Teren alone.

Iesa was fantasizing.

The rest of the popular group was adapting to the situation.

Lastly, Teren didn't particularly have something in his mind. The result of this camping depends on Hanon and the others, he thought.. Although Iesa's attendance complicates things, he can't really think of it as unfortunate.
