"Pupa, why do I feel like Han Shun got colder as he grew up?"

"Isn't that normal? He is already 18 years old, after all."

"I know, but I miss the cute and innocent Han Shun…."

"Stop treating him like a baby. Treat him like a man now," Pupa suggested that might help them in the long term. But Bai Shijue could only shake his head pitifully.

"I'm just too soft on him, and I can't help it," Bai Shijue said.

"That's because you might've fallen in love with him, is it not?"

"Wha— of course not, Pupa! That's weird!" Yunyu snapped to refute. "I just treat Han Shun like my beloved little brother! No more than that!"

"You're saying that, but I'm your system after all. I know what you're thinking."

Bai Yunyu stared at Han Shun until his back got smaller, then disappeared. Yunyu lowered his gaze and smiled pitifully, "What can I say? He looks exactly like Han Ye Gege…."

"Well, he is God Han Ye's incarnation of this world after all..." Pupa said.

"I know, it's unfortunate..."

Han Shun returned to his room with a complicated feeling in his heart. He wanted to meet that mysterious man again and ask him if he could be free from such incarnation.

Han Shun locked his door and closed his eyes. In less than 5 minutes, he fell into a deep slumber. He waited until that mysterious man in a black-golden robe appeared again.

….

Han Shun opened his eyes and looked around the empty space around him. This was his dream realm. At least it was the place where he would meet that mysterious man.

"I know you're here somewhere. Come out. I want to talk about something," Han Shun said.

"Haha, cat out of the bag, huh?"

Purple butterflies started appearing and danced around Han Shun before gathering together to form a man in front of him. The mysterious man in a black-golden robe smirked at him, "So, how was it? To know that you're an incarnation of the vilest god ever existed."

"Why did you choose me?" Han Shun asked.

"Hm? What do you mean?"

"Why did you choose me as your incarnation!" Han Shun grabbed the mysterious man's robe and pulled him. "I've never wanted to be an evil god's incarnation! You're ruining my life with Bai Gege!"

"Relax, kid," the mysterious man only scoffed and used his power to push Han Shun away from him.

Han Shun fell and rolled backward because of the invisible force, "Don't get so hasty. I didn't choose you. I would take someone stronger or at least more competent if I could."

"But well, I'm stuck with you here, unfortunately," the mysterious man said.

Han Shun gritted his teeth. He looked up to the mysterious man and asked, "So, it's true that you're the one whom those demonic disciples worshipped."

"That is correct," the mysterious man replied lightly. "I am God of Nothingness. I can create and destroy anything I want. I can make you disappear. I can even make your beloved Bai Gege disappear if I want to."

"I am the most powerful of them all, but now I'm stuck with an immature sociopath like you. What a pity."

"YOU!" Han Shun got up and was about to attack the mysterious man, but the man snapped his fingers and summoned chains that were blood as red. The chains wrapped around Han Shun's limbs and chained him on the spot.

"You're nothing compared to me, kid."

"ARGH! DON'T YOU DARE HURT BAI GEGE! I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU!"

"Oh, I will not hurt him," the mysterious man had a meaningful smile. "I will just make him disappear. That would be an easy task for me."

Han Shun started struggling as he panicked. He didn't want something bad to happen to Bai Gege.

"Anyway, if you want an answer to everything, you should come to the Forest of Lost Mist. I will be waiting for you there."

Han Shun opened his eyes after a while. In less than a second, he was wide awake because that mysterious man said there would be answers about his fate.

He checked the window and realized that it was already night. So Han Shun washed his face in a basin of cold water and then left his room.

He didn't have the same teleportation skill as Bai Gege, but he already knew how to go to the Forest of Lost Mist.

Bai Shijue sat under the plum blossom tree, playing with his Guqin, "Are you going to the forest, Han Shun?"

"Yes, Bai Gege."

"Ready with my talisman?"

"Yes…"

"Good, you may leave now. Don't forget to rip the talisman so you can return. I'm still busy setting up the barrier here and training Han Min."

Han Shun was bitter whenever Bai Gege mentioned that kid, Han Min. But it wasn't the time for jealousy. He nodded and left Bai Gege alone.

**

Han Shun traveled to the Forest of Lost Mist, and once he reached the entrance. He looked around, checking if another cultivator was entering the Forest of Lost mist.

After making sure he was all alone, he put the talisman underneath his robe and walked in.

Han Shun was actually intimidated by the forest when he first came to this place. The mist wasn't visible when he first came, but Han Shun could feel the moving trees.

Han Shun started walking around. Bai Gege told him to familiarize himself with the forest. It would be alright if I just walked randomly into the deep forest.

Han Shun waited for more than half an hour until he heard the ghastly scream of a woman echoing around the forest before everything turned quiet again. He was positive that it came from somewhere near him.

He halted his step and tried to pinpoint the exact location because he was curious, "I think that woman has been killed for another sacrificial ritual done by those vile demonic cultivators."

"Don't call them vile. You're one of them, probably even worse, hahaha!"
