Raven's Claw at Hogwarts

Chapter 73 Quidditch School Team Selection (Part 1)

The poor male student council president was besieged like this for a full half hour. By the time the Gryffindor students received the news and were ready to rescue their student council president, the female student council president had already brought a group of her best friends. Gone away.

The Slytherin students came faster than Gryffindor, and they laughed loudly at the poor male student president. For the Slytherin students, they could see that Gryffindor was unlucky. It's the happiest thing.

When the Gryffindor students rushed to the scene angrily, what appeared in front of them was a scene like this.

The male student council president slumped alone in the corner, staring at the ceiling blankly, with tears hanging from the corners of his eyes. The clothes on his body were in a mess, and the collar had long been torn open. The most egregious thing is that there are still a few dark footprints left on several of his vital parts, and I don't know which tough senior sister did it.

The Slytherin students once again surrounded the Gryffindor male student council president with playful smiles, mocking him wantonly, and some of the bold ones even stepped forward and poked the male student council president with their fingers. Head Boy, see if he's dead.

Slytherin's strong presence naturally aroused the dissatisfaction of the Gryffindors. The two groups soon started pushing and mingling together, and a fight was about to begin.

Mike and Franklin stood not far away, smiling and watching the excitement. It was interesting to sit on the mountain and watch tigers fight.

Thanks to the unremitting efforts of the Gryffindors, the poor Head Boy was finally saved. Several tall senior students used their size advantages to force their way into the crowd and carry him out.

This time the Slytherin students were not happy, and some of them even took out their wands.

Mike and Franklin were not the only ones sitting on the mountain to watch the fight. Students from Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw also gathered near Mike at some point. Seeing that an ordinary dispute was about to turn into a magical fight, everyone was extremely excited.

However, there was a sudden explosion in the crowd on the opposite side, and as a cloud of blue-grey smoke floated up, the Gryffindor and Slytherin students screamed and ran away.

Mike and others thought that someone had used some powerful magic spell, and they were so excited that they couldn't help themselves. But the blue-gray smoke soon drifted near them, and a strange smell spread throughout the auditorium. It was a big dung bomb.

Mike and Franklin had no choice but to hold their noses and leave this land of right and wrong. They knew with their butts that only the Weasley brothers could use such evil things as dung bombs.

After finally returning to the Ravenclaw lounge, Mike and Franklin breathed a sigh of relief. They didn't know how many big dung eggs the Weasley brothers had used. The disgusting stench not only filled the entire auditorium, but even the vicinity of the auditorium. A large area is polluted.

While the two were gasping for air, a young man wearing Quidditch protective gear walked towards them. Mike knew this man, Roger Davis, a Ravenclaw sports star and captain of the Ravenclaw Quidditch team.

"Mike? I've been looking for you for a long time. Dean Flitwick recommended you to our Ravenclaw Quidditch team. It just so happens that today we have an open interview. Let's go." Roger sniffed a few times and said, "What does this smell like on you? Why does it stink so much?"

Mike understood as soon as he heard that Professor Flitwick did not give him the Nimbus 2001 for free. The purpose was to allow him to join the Quidditch school team. He smiled bitterly and did not refuse, and said:

"Okay, I'll use my own broomstick. You should have a broomstick for testing. My friend also wants to take part in the test."

Roger glanced at Franklin next to Mike with some confusion. He didn't know Franklin. In fact, if Professor Flitwick hadn't called him by name, he wouldn't even have known Mike. The Quidditch school team had a lot of training, and as captain, Roger had a lot of things to do, so he basically gave up all social interactions.

"Hello, I'm Franklin Clinton." Franklin introduced himself to Roger without being humble or condescending.

"Okay, let's hurry up. Everyone else is already waiting for us at the stadium." Roger said this and turned around and walked out of the Ravenclaw lounge.

Mike gave Franklin a wry smile and followed him.

Mike actually doesn't like Quidditch at all. This ball game with so many loopholes in its rules is simply more barbaric than American football, and it’s no fun to watch.

In many cases, the outcome of Quidditch depends entirely on the personal qualities of the seeker and the quality of the broomstick. The gap in equipment in the top professional leagues is still slightly smaller. Competitions within schools like Hogwarts can be No more. Just like Harry Potter in the original book, in his third year, he held a professional league-specific Firebolt to compete with seekers from other colleges who held Nimbus series or even Sweep series broomsticks. Harry's flying speed was several times faster than the others. It would be a shame if he could still lose.

Not to mention that the Quidditch rules also include the rule that batters can hit Bludgers towards opposing players. This has led to a very high probability of injuries to Quidditch players. In the history of Hogwarts, there are students who were injured because of Quidditch. A record of those who lost their lives during the Diqi game.

It is simply incredible that such a barbaric competition is favored by the vast majority of wizards around the world. In Mike's opinion, there is no difference at all from the beast fighting in ancient Rome. They are both bloody and violent.

"Here we are."

Roger's voice interrupted Mike's random thoughts, and before they knew it, they had arrived at the Quidditch pitch.

The first few days of each school year are the time when each college's Quidditch team recruits players, so today's Quidditch stadium is very busy.

The normally sparse stands were packed with people. Not only the old students, but also many freshmen came to the field to watch the excitement. From this, we can see the status of Quidditch in the hearts of wizards.

"Listen Mike, since Professor Flitwick is optimistic about you, then I believe in your ability. There is still one starting batsman in the Ravenclaw school team. This is a position specially reserved for you. Wait for you Just go up and fly around twice with a little bit of fun." Roger said in a voice that only two people could hear, "As for your friend, it's a pity that he can only be a substitute. We have plenty of substitute players, so you can let him choose as he likes. Just a location is enough.”

After saying that, Roger gave Mike an OK gesture.

Mike was confused, had he already been appointed as a team member by Professor Flitwick?
