Chapter 874: Causing a riot, as desired

Ye Chen got into an argument with someone because he didn't give the spirit stone to buy something, and a large crowd of people watched. Suddenly, a large number of Imperial City guards emerged from the crowd. Ye Chen did not expect them to be so efficient, but it was exactly what Ye Chen wanted.

A fat guard who looked like a captain shouted loudly to the crowd: "Who doesn't give spiritual stones when buying something?"

The crowd all retreated to the edge, leaving Ye Chen alone to face the guards. Ye Chen raised his hand and said, "Me!"

The fat guard looked at Ye Chen, took two steps forward, and swept his eyes over Ye Chen. After a while, he said, "Why don't you give me the spirit stone?"

"I don't want to give it." Ye Chen said.

The fat guard took two steps in front of Ye Chen and suddenly said, "Crazy guy, don't buy anything. Get out of here quickly."

Ye Chen was stunned and said loudly: "Aren't you going to arrest me?"

"Why are we arresting you? If we arrest someone like you, how can there be room in the prison?"

Ye Chen was so anxious that he picked up a wooden stick from the bunk and hit the fat guard on the head, saying, "Catch me or not?"

The fat guard was stunned. He didn't expect anyone to dare to hit him. He said angrily: "Hit me hard."

Several guards rushed up and beat Ye Chen severely, but still did not want to arrest him. Ye Chen got angry and punched the fat guard in the face. The fat guard screamed and his nosebleeded quickly. He said angrily:

"Catch this madman."

Ye Chen was finally taken to prison as he wished, but he didn't expect to be beaten brutally. Two guards dragged Ye Chen and threw him into the prison.

The cell was in a basement in the Imperial City. It was very large and contained many people. All of them were skinny, ragged, and smelled bad.

In the cell, two tall and thin men walked up to Ye Chen, gently kicked Ye Chen who was lying on the ground, and asked, "Are you dead?"

Ye Chen got up from the ground and said with a smile, "Not yet."

The two people retreated without interest, found a corner to sit down, and asked, "How did you get caught?"

Ye Chen didn't answer. He looked at the cell he was in. There was not much space, but there were more than ten prisoners. The situation in the entire dungeon was almost the same. Ye Chen did the math and found that there were a total of 25 compartments, holding about three to four hundred people in total.

"Hi!" The prisoner in Ye Chen's prison asked again, "How did you get in? I want to ask you a question!"

Ye Chen looked back at the man who asked the question, but it was one of the men who kicked him just now. Ye Chen said:

"I'm here to save you."

When Ye Chen said this, everyone laughed. Even a thin man in the cell next door shouted loudly:

"Come on, someone is here to save us."

The result was a burst of laughter from all the prisoners.

Ye Chen ignored them. He had to act according to his own ideas. He asked:

"Are you all monks?"

An old man said: "So what, I don't want to die here."

Another younger person said: "Most of them are monks, and some are civilians who have committed crimes."

"Okay!" Ye Chen said, "Please cooperate with me later."

Ye Chen moved his muscles. Although the imperial city guards were heavy-handed, they did not hurt his vital parts. Basically just some flesh wounds.

The young prisoner asked: "How can I cooperate with you?"

"Shout for help!"

After Ye Chen finished speaking, he suddenly pulled out the prisoner who kicked him and beat him severely. The other prisoners were stunned for a moment, then shouted loudly:

"Come quickly, people are going to be killed."

"Help!"

The voices of prisoners rose and fell one after another. Soon four guards guarding the dungeon came over and shouted loudly: "Stop it."

Ye Chen ignored the jailer and continued to beat the prisoner violently. The jailers couldn't stand it, so they took out the key, opened the door, and rushed in to beat Ye Chen with sticks.

Ye Chen smiled "hehe", grabbed the wooden stick from the jailer's hand, and knocked the jailer unconscious on the ground in just a few blows.

When the prisoners saw this, they all cheered and shouted:

"Let us out quickly, let us out quickly. ..."

Ye Chen ordered two people to take the jailer's key and open the door of each cell. Just as Ye Chen was about to leave, the prisoner who was beaten by Ye Chen lay on the ground and begged:

"Please, drag me out, I don't want to die here."

Seeing that he was beaten a little pitifully by him, Ye Chen stopped the young prisoner and said, "Help him."

The young prisoner nodded and went up to help the beaten prisoner. Ye Chen walked to the dungeon corridor and shouted loudly:

"Everyone, let's make things bigger later."

The prisoners cheered in unison. Ye Chen was about to leave when he suddenly saw a prisoner standing motionless in the last three cells who opened the door. Ye Chen walked over and asked:

"Why don't you open the door?"

"They are on death row, many are murderers."

Ye Chen walked into the door and saw that all the death row prisoners inside were shackled. They looked at Ye Chen and smiled, showing his black teeth.

"Then leave them alone." Ye Chen said.

Just as Ye Chen was about to leave, a young death row inmate rushed to the cell door and shouted: "Help me, I didn't do anything."

While Ye Chen was wondering, another death row prisoner chuckled and said, "Don't believe him, he is the most damned person here. He has killed more people than us."

When Ye Chen heard this, he ignored them and walked to the exit of the dungeon. There was an iron door at the exit, which was locked from the outside by the escaped jailer. The prisoners were smashing the iron door with tables and stools. Ye Chen walked over, picked up an iron bar from a corner, and pried open the iron door.

The prisoners rushed out with loud cheers. Ye Chen shouted loudly: "Brothers, come on, come with me to eat and drink."

Hundreds of monks followed Ye Chen and rushed out of the cell. The imperial city guards who had just arrived were no match for the monks. Ye Chen laughed secretly and shouted to them:

"Brothers, are you hungry?"

None of these monks had eaten enough in prison. How could they not be hungry? When Ye Chen said this, they all cheered in unison. The fact that they were so hungry played into Ye Chen's hands. Ye Chen led them all the way to the commercial district of the imperial city. Everywhere they went, it was like locusts passing through, and they looted everything.

Sure enough, when they arrived at the business district, the monks were all grabbing food, drink and clothes, making a lot of noise. Some traders also tried to organize a resistance, but they were beaten violently by the monks. In the end, they had to give up their money and run away for their lives.

Naturally, Ye Chen would not just grab some food and drink like these monks. He took advantage of the chaos and kept snatching spirit stones and other valuables useful to him from various vendors.

This was exactly Ye Chen's plan, and soon Ye Chen grabbed a big bag of goodies. At this time, the imperial city was in chaos.
