Rebirth of England

Chapter 857 Large UAV

The drone that arrived in Mali with the Korov peacekeeping force this time was the Coyote II drone developed by Sentinel.

This drone was upgraded on the basis of the previous Coyote. Thanks to the use of more advanced batteries provided by the British Motor Group, the Coyote II drone is larger in size, nearly 2 meters long, 3.45 meters wide, can carry more electronic equipment, and has a battery life of 3 hours!

And unlike the disposable Coyote drone, the Coyote II drone can be used multiple times after returning to the home and charging.

This can provide more reconnaissance information for the Korov peacekeeping force and grasp the situation of the surrounding battlefield.

This time, the technicians who entered Mali with the Korov peacekeeping force belonged to Sentinel. They will conduct actual combat tests on the Coyote II drone and accumulate data for the launch of subsequent military models.

Of course, the Coyote II drone is still a small drone that uses batteries as power. Limited by the current battery technology, it is still unable to achieve a scale of more than 8 meters like the Predator drone.

However, Standard Defense has hired a team with rich experience in fighter development in the UK through a headhunting company. It will combine Sentinel's experience in the field of drones to develop large drones in the UK.

This drone, code-named Tiercel, will be powered by fuel and propelled by a turbine engine. Standard Defense is ready to compete for military orders from the United States and Britain with this drone.

Although BAE Systems is already developing the "Thunder God" drone project in terms of large drones, as far as Barron knows, as a technologically advanced drone, the Thunder God is expensive - its test prototype costs as much as 143 million pounds, so even if the UK and NATO are willing to purchase it, the quantity will not be too large.

This requires a more "cheap" large drone that can meet basic needs, which is also the military procurement demand targeted by Standard Defense.

In Standard Defense's plan, the Tiercel drone is basically comparable to General Atomics' Predator drone, and will reach or even exceed the technical data of this drone -

8.27 meters in length, 14.87 meters in wingspan, 3,700 kilometers in maximum range, 240 kilometers in maximum flight speed, 24 hours in the air above the target, and 60 hours in maximum endurance.

The Predator is equipped with optoelectronic/infrared reconnaissance equipment, GPS navigation equipment, and synthetic aperture radar with all-weather reconnaissance capabilities. The resolution is 0.3 meters at an altitude of 4,000 meters, and the target positioning accuracy is 0.25 meters.

For this reason, Standard Defense also recruited a lot of technical talents from the United States for the large-scale drone project established by Sentinel in England.

This time when Barron came to Colo, he brought Yulia Moore with him.

She could also learn about Natasha, who is currently expecting a baby in Britta - in more than a month, the two children will be born.

Although detailed information can be obtained in London even if she does not come in person, for Yulia, who is somewhat expectant and nervous, coming in person can make her feel more at ease.

As mentioned before, in the last operation, Natasha successfully conceived a pair of twins. Before giving birth, she needs to spend time in Britta, the capital of Kolo.

Natasha lives in one of the guest rooms in Jupiter Building, Barron's mansion in Britta.

There are special maids and medical staff to take care of Natasha here. Of course, there will also be bodyguards responsible for protection and surveillance to ensure the safety of Natasha and her baby in her belly.

In fact, before coming to Kolo, Natasha was still a little worried about this trip - after all, in her impression, Africa is very chaotic and poor, not to mention Kolo, a country she has never heard of.

If there is a slightly better place, it may be South Africa. After all, if the cities in Africa are ranked at this time, South Africa has at least three cities that can enter the top ten, which can be called the facade of Africa.

However, after coming to Brita in Kolo, she finally felt relieved. The city construction here is no worse than that in Ukraine. If the people she met in the city were not mainly black, she would not know that this is a city in a small country in West Africa.

And it can be clearly found that the mental state of these Kolo people is relatively good, with light in their eyes and hope in their hearts.

In fact, this is also thanks to the development of Kolo over the years-if time goes back to before 2003, Kolo at that time was completely different from now.

However, even now, the Kolo government still faces many challenges. The first is what they have been doing after the establishment of the new Kolo government-enhancing national identity.

As we all know, almost all countries in Africa have been in war for a long time.

It can be said that it is very normal to see civil wars in African countries from various news reports-it seems abnormal that there are no countries in Africa fighting civil wars.

The main reason for this is that most African countries do not have a strong sense of national identity. When European colonists came to Africa, slavery was still in place and there was not much of a concept of a country. Instead, the country was made up of individual tribes.

This can be seen from the map of Africa. The borders of modern African countries can be said to be drawn by a person holding a pen on the map horizontally and vertically. The fact is similar. The borders of most African countries do not have much historical inheritance. They are determined by the colonizers drawing lines on the map at will.

This has caused the same nation to be classified as several countries, and one country has several nations with deep conflicts with each other...

In addition, with a very long history of colonization, these countries were successively independent in the global national liberation wave in the 1950s and 1960s, but they are still deeply influenced by colonization. For example, old colonial countries such as Britain and France still have the ability to interfere in Africa in various ways. For the sake of their own interests, they do not want to see the stable development of these former colonies, so they can "make trouble" through conflicts between tribes...

The consequence is that few countries in Africa can have long-term stable development and are always easily involved in wars.

Because of its small area, Kolo is considered a small country in Africa, but it still has many tribes in the country.

Even in the previous military government period, many tribes were "autonomous" to a certain extent.

That is, after the establishment of the new government of Kolo, through economic and military disintegration, the Kolo government finally slowly broke up these tribes - and at Barron's request, they implemented a relatively neutral policy of equality among all ethnic groups, which finally made Kolo have a certain degree of integrity.

In addition, they have been promoting "compulsory education", which has been strengthening national identity and weakening the concept of ethnicity. It has only now achieved some results.

But these policies still need to be continued.

In addition, the black people in Kolo are more lazy than those in Eurasia, which is also the characteristic that the Kolo government has been guiding.
