During this process, the airborne computer system must store the target and be able to identify it in the next revolution and analyze it in conjunction.

Otherwise, the radar's data processing will be problematic. If a target is detected in one revolution and another target is detected in the next revolution, then the number of targets on the radar screen will increase, even though there is only one.

The British Nimrod early warning aircraft was overwhelmed by heavy radar echoes due to this factor.
