Later, China introduced the VRC-8000 tank radio with world-advanced level. This radio is a frequency hopping radio with very good confidentiality, but it is not compatible with the previous radios. Moreover, all of them are imported parts. Once they are broken, they can only buy foreign parts for maintenance at a high price. Later, the troops found civilian parts to replace them, but this would lose the warranty.

As for the current Type 99 tank, it uses its own developed Type 889 tank radio, which has more advanced performance, but it is also completely incompatible with the previous radios.

In combat troops, this is not a big problem. After all, ordinary radios only need to be able to meet the internal calls within the company. Different companies use different radios, which can also avoid mutual call interference. As for mutual cooperation, it can be completely communicated through the company-level command tank.

The command systems of this era are tree-shaped, which are easily cut off from a certain node, but it is not realistic to create a network-shaped command system in which the general command can directly transmit orders to a certain tank.
