Reborn as a werewolf ancestor

Chapter 129: Trial of Soldiers

In front of the bedroom door on the third floor, two extraordinary beings who had been dead for a long time stood in front of everyone.

Both of them were holding their long swords tightly, with their hands forward, and each was pierced through the chest by the other's long sword.

One month's time has caused some decay in their corpses. Although both are extraordinary, unfortunately they cannot withstand the ravages of time.

Catherine ordered people to separate the two people in front of her, and the stalemate that remained deadlocked after their deaths was broken.

The two long swords were pulled out from their chests, and the soldiers stepped forward and closed their eyes.

Catherine sighed: "Hey...it's considered extraordinary after all. Let's bury them."

"Yes, Captain." Several soldiers worked together to carry the two somewhat decomposed corpses down to the third floor.

Catherine did not leave, but walked into the bedroom and looked at it carefully.

Unexpectedly, what came into view was the body of the baroness who had been hanged for a long time.

The other party was hung above the bedroom by a thin rope. There was some dry and astringent excrement under his body, which must have been leftover from the struggle before his death.

Catherine stepped forward, pulled out her long sword, cut the rope on the body, and let it fall to the ground. She then picked up the body of the baroness and prepared to take it to the castle's cemetery with the two extraordinary ones.

Buried.

........

After some tidying up, it was already afternoon.

The baroness and the two extraordinary men were hastily buried in the castle. Although they were the main factors causing this civil strife, Catherine and Marcus still gave them the respect they deserved after death because of their status.

.

A dozen naked soldiers were brought into the atrium, and the women who had been tortured by them also came to watch the trial.

Their feet and hands were completely tied up with thick ropes. Their hands were wrapped behind their backs, and their knees were completely bent, causing them to kneel on the ground.

Beside this group of male soldiers who were about to be judged, each stood a soldier from Catherine's team. They raised their swords, waiting for Catherine's orders.

Standing in front of the group of people being judged, Catherine said: "Do you know your crimes?"

Hearing this, some of the ten or so people laughed sadly, some snorted disdainfully, and some even lowered their heads and began to cry.

"This life of unknown duration should indeed end..."

A middle-aged soldier sighed.

"Are you kidding? I was just enjoying myself a little while under the infighting between the two officers, Addis and Chad. How could I end up like this?"

A young soldier said unwillingly that in his eyes, compared with the behavior of himself and others, the internal fighting between the two soldier captains and the knight captain was the main reason for the collapse of the territory.

The woman beside them, who couldn't listen, opened her last fig leaf and said, "Huh! No matter how the two officers fight, it's always between them, and it never involves ordinary people like us."

"What about you? After the fighting subsided, not only did they fail to maintain the order of the territory, but they also aggravated the progress of the rupture. They simply robbed the remaining food from the villagers, causing them to fall into famine.

It is an unforgivable crime."

The young soldier who was exposed by the other party's words fell silent. He suddenly became aware of what he and others had been doing these past few days.

"Now that you've figured it out, let's get on the road!" Catherine gave the order, and several soldiers were about to cut off the swords.

"etc!!!"

Suddenly, a young male soldier shouted loudly.

"Huh!?" Catherine waved her hand to stop the soldier.

She asked: "Is there anything else you want to say?"

Hearing this, the male soldier knelt down and walked forward, regardless of appearance, and came to Catherine's feet.

"My lord! My lord! Please do me a favor. I still have some gold hidden somewhere. As long as you let me go, I will give them all to you." He said to Catherine full of desire.

Catherine shook her head helplessly: "What should I say to you? Why don't you think about how if I let you go, how will I give an explanation to the people behind me and even the villagers?"

When the male soldiers heard this, they looked at the group of women behind Catherine. They all had angry faces, waiting for the execution of the trial.

Realizing that his plan could not succeed, the male soldier suddenly turned pale and was dragged to his original position by the soldiers.

"So, does anyone else want to say something?" Catherine looked at the group of male soldiers kneeling on the ground in front of her.

Seeing no one said anything, Catherine raised her hand and waved it down.

There was a "poof" sound.

The heads of the evil-doing soldiers in front of them were beheaded, ending their lives.

A large amount of blood spurted out from his headless body, dyeing the lawn in front of him red.

Catherine picked up three or four dead heads and led the soldiers behind her out of the castle.

The group of people came to the village outside the city. The villagers here were still leaning in front of their houses, basking in the sun, but their eyes had long become dull and their bodies were as skinny as zombies.

"Bang."

Several heads were thrown into the village by Catherine and displayed in front of them. The villagers unconsciously looked towards the source of the sound, as if they had discovered who the owner of the heads was.

Gradually, their dull eyes began to regain their luster, as if their souls had returned to their bodies.

"We have executed these evil soldiers on the spot and rescued dozens of women from them."

After hearing this, some villagers shed a few tears in their dry eyes.

"Woo~woo~"

"Thank you, sir. Thank you, sir, for saving my little girl."

Seeing a group of women running from behind, they no longer doubted his presence, and knelt down in front of Catherine and others, crying and thanking him.

"Thank you for your kind act, you saved our village of Burke."

"Thank you very much! Thank you for rescuing us from those surrendered soldiers."

The rescued women also hugged their relatives tightly. They were members of the village and only worked in the castle on weekdays.

"Father! Mother!"

"Mel, it would be great if you could come back. Your mother and I have been very worried about your situation these days. We wanted to go to the city to look for you, but we were always chased away by those bastard soldiers."

"It's okay, father, they have been taken care of by the adult in front of me."

A dozen families hugged each other and kept talking about life after the territory fell into civil strife.

Catherine stood aside quietly without disturbing her too much.

Behind, Marcus, who had cleaned up the entire castle, also led the cavalry team out of the city gate and came to Catherine's side.

Seeing the bags of items in the other person's hands, Catherine knew that these were the only grains and valuables left in the castle.

She clapped her hands, attracting the attention of the villagers and the women.

"Okay, everyone, it's time for us to go."

"Let's go? Sir, where are you taking us?" asked a puzzled villager.

"Of course it's back to the Regit Territory." Catherine replied. (To be continued)
