Reborn: Rise of the Greatest Summoner
189 The Snow Fenrir vs Zombie Amon!
The sounds of the Ice Elemental plane crumbling apart reverberated.
The war between the Frost Giants and the Yeti Monsters already successfully rubbed every living beast in the Ice Elemental plane. All across the Elemental plane, even as earthquakes occurred at some parts, other parts started melting.
It was like the Ice Elemental plane was experiencing a heavenly tribulation.
Beasts that were not fast enough to escape the areas of impact lost their lives to the effect of this Ice Elemental plane losing its element core.
While crisis overtook the Ice Elemental plane, the war raged on.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Even as the war raged around them, the gigantic Snow Fenrir and Zombie Amon were not affected. Their stare down to battle was brief, Zombie Amon didn't allow it to drag as he was already charging towards the Snow Fenrir.
After swallowing the element core of the Ice Elemental plane and digesting its energy, the Snow Fenrir no longer hesitated, it exploded forward with speed.
Compared to any of the beasts and warriors here, the Snow Fenrir was a beast of a completely whole other level. As a Grade B beast in his prime before his fall, he had access to special abilities far exceeding their understanding.
Even though he couldn't access his 2 other affinities, he was still powerful.
And even though because of his current weakness he could not access some of his peak abilities, the few that were available to him were still over the charts.
He activated one of his special abilities as he exploded forward with speed.
"Special Frost Ability: Atmospheric Freezing!"
The Snow Fenrir barely started moving after he activated this ability before it seemed like a gift from the god of frost descended from heaven, a gift in the form of a glowing ball of white mist.
As soon as the ball of white mist descended, it shattered in pieces.
With it's shattering, its misty contents were exposed into the surroundings.
Whoosh!
All of a sudden, it seemed that time and space seemed to freeze for a few moments as the misty contents rapidly spread.
A cold wind blew the next moment which was quickly followed by the mist dissipating into the surroundings, following this mist was a ridiculous amount of frost energy that seemed capable of freezing anything in its path.
Its potency dwarfed the Freezing Breath ability of the Yeti Elder.
Even the airspace seemed to be freezing as frost signs appeared in the air. The powers of these Grade C beasts were completely terraforming the Ice Elemental plane already, turning it into a colder and more menacing environment.
Zombie Amon could not shrug off the potency of this special ability, after just the initial contact, this gigantic zombie was frozen from head to toe.
Only his gigantic green eyes barely moved inside its icy cage.
As soon as Zombie Amon was frozen, all his defenses became rendered useless before the Snow Fenrir. This old monster was not naïve enough to pity his opponent, he ruthlessly took advantage of this opening.
After activating a movement skill, his speed rapidly increased to a high level.
Only a white afterimage was left in his wake as he charged forward, the sound of his claws padding against the snow reverberated like thunder.
Mid-sprint, the Snow Fenrir activated another ability that coated his gigantic body with an ice armor filled with spikes. With this spiky ice armor, he charged towards Zombie Amon, ramming into him with the force of a Bull.
Boom!
The sound of impact was like exploding dominoes.
After enduring the initial force, the final force came with even more momentum that swept Zombie Amon off his feet, shattering his ice cage.
As soon as the ice cage shattered, Zombie Amon coughed a lot of blood and bled. Mid-air as the force of collision still carried him away, the Snow Fenrir leaped into the skies as he sprinted after the Zombie in the air.
Icy steps appeared in the skies, acting as platforms for him through which he sprinted across the skies at this moment.
Mid-air, he used another of his deadly special abilities.
"Special Frost Ability: Atomic Cancellation!"
The Snow Fenrir's eyes were cold and filled with menace, he had no intentions of prolonging this battle, every moment that he fought affected him since he was still in a recovery phase.
As soon as this ability was activated, a temporary silence seemed to spread through the entire battlefield as a feeling of doom filled the air. The next moment, mid-air, the Snow Fenrir pounced on the still unstable Zombie Amon.
Crunch!
With one terrible bite to the neck, he inflicted the Atomic Cancellation which took effect instantly. The next moment, a strange force field appeared.
This force field surrounded Zombie Amon as multiple smaller versions of the force field infiltrated inside the body of this gigantic Zombie.
The strange energy field completely nullified the electric field holding the atoms of this gigantic Frost Giant together, the effect was immediate.
Like it was a movie, Zombie Amon grunted softly as the next moment this gigantic being with undead energy started disintegrating from within and turning into dust in a spooky and crazy display of superhuman power.
In just a few seconds, Zombie Amon turned to dust.
But that was not the end, like every other elite zombie out there, one thing about Zombie Amon was that he had an incredible amount of vitality.
Even as he turned to dust, he was not dead.
The fragments left by his dust gathered together again after just a few seconds as they completely reformed this Zombie and brought him back to life.
"Roar…!!!" Zombie Amon roared as he charged towards the Snow Fenrir.
With 2 of his greatest special abilities that he had access to right now not working, the Snow Fenrir's eyes narrowed but he didn't change his dynamic as he simply changed his mind to turn this struggle into a battle of attrition.
If fast-paced battle could not do it, a grinding grueling battle would do.
Bam! Bam! Bam!
Zombie Amon stood no chance, the Snow Fenrir dominated this battle as it lasted for hours but this crazy Zombie simply refused to die.
It kept on coming back to life and it seemed to get stronger each time.
The Snow Fenrir did not despair by this occurrence though, in the super world, the law of conservation of energy also applied.
Mana cannot be created nor destroyed, it can only be converted from one form to the other but every creature also had limits to the mana that they could use. The Snow Fenrir believed that the zombie had a limit and this kept him going.
The battle was intense, even eclipsing the intensity of the battle between the Yeti Elder and King Nagakin as the terrain around the battlefield completely changed into a ruin similar to that of an ancient race.
The war lasted 3 days without a clear winner being found.
In this time, the Ice Elemental plane was already at its final breath, about to die having lost its element core. Snaking purple lightning moved through the exposed skies, chaos already filled the sky even as the ground opened.
As Grade C powerhouses, they had the stamina and mana required to fight for 3 days straight. And it was after this that changes started coming to this battlefield, signs of exhaustion and slowing down finally showed on the Zombie.
Noticing these signs, the Snow Fenrir capitalized on it.
He already felt humiliated to be battling this Zombie for 3 days, in his prime, a sneeze was all that was needed for him to snuff the life out of this zombie.
Unfortunately for him though, he had to adapt to his current strength.
As the Zombie grew weaker, he finally used another special ability.
"Special Frost Ability: Molecular Inhibition!"
As soon as he used this forbidden ability, the fate of the Zombie seemed to have been decided. With a touch, all the movement of molecules in the Zombie's dead body seized, causing them to lose all energy and crystallize.
The Zombie soon turned into a dry crystallized husk.
"Roar!" The Snow Fenrir roared the next moment, activating another ability.
With a loud sound, the Zombie shattered into a thousand pieces but this was not his end yet as though far slower than before, the particles still started moving towards each other in a bid to merge and form the Zombie again.
As for the Snow Fenrir, he could no longer attack immediately.
After that attack, he also showed signs of exhaustions.
From afar where he watched the battle for 3 days and nights without sleeping with bloodshot eyes, Legolas's eyes gleamed as he saw this. "Finally!"
For 3 days as he watched, without saying a word to his students, he strategized on how to get the most benefits from this war.
After 3 days, he arrived at a plan to deal with the Snow Fenrir. Of course, his chances of success were still below 10% but Legolas was ready to take that chance.
He turned to face his students. "I am about to create a potion".
"I have all the ingredients except the heart of a Snow Deer and the genitals of a Nine-lives Cat".
"…" Christensen stared at his master dumbfoundedly. "They exist?"
"Yes, and some live in the Ice Elemental plane".
"I want the 2 of you to go bring me these 2 ingredients".
"Yes Master".
As they left, Legolas brought out his cauldron as he stole a glance at the still intense battle and the Elemental plane which was already close to total death.
"I have to work fast". He threw the first ingredients in the cauldron.
