Reborn to Dominate Hollywood
Chapter 72
As much as he would love to promote what he did and everything else, he doesn't like that once he appears in front of the camera, every detail is immediately in the hands of the public.
Alyssa and Mason saw several more media reporters with cameras walking briskly and went straight inside. Ian, Eloise, Ryan, and Adam stood still.
"Hello sir, could you please have a quick interview with us?" another reporter asked.
"Okay, of course
," "Tonight was beautiful, wasn't it." Ian, how do you feel after all the successful film attempts that have been so successful, and now you're here for some nominations for the musical film La La Land that you made?"
The love people have for Eloise and Ryan has grown over time, and I'm sure they feel great too,"
the microphone passed to Eloise and then Ryan.
"Ian gave me such a great opportunity and I smell success considering where we are right now," Eloise said with a smile.
"I agree with her, I mean, all the hard work paid off and I hope you enjoyed the night," Ryan said, returning the microphone to him.
"Adam here is the main character of Home Alone. But he's not here today for any Home Alone nomination. Rather, it was because he was nominated as the Most Valuable Child Actor representing the film "June". The film was very popular and competitive in today's awards," "
yes, about Adam. He was a lovely kid. But in my opinion, it must be tiring to be a young actor and keep up with everything. The normal life we go through doesn't belong to his, but I want him to enjoy it and he knows, right, Adam?"
Ian said as he handed the microphone to Adam.
"Ian is right, I'm feeling good today," Adam said, returning the microphone to him. He confidently smiles at the camera and does not hesitate to say his words.
"Good luck, I hope you can win some," the journalist said.
They smiled, thanked them, and walked away into the theater.
"Look at these clouds — I mean the stars! blind my eyes and life feels good,"
a well-known actress with a big smile on her face said on stage. Everyone applauded her. If it's about the Oscars, then the dramatic appearance is something you have to get used to.
She wears a suit and makes a good impression. Elegant and modern, she looks classy.
"Look at the faces, waiting for us to say something. This must have been the first day Vincent waited for the actress to speak first,"
the crowd erupted in laughter, and the camera focused on Vincent's face.
"Can we talk about the new director, Ian over there?" another girl in a mini dress walked onto the stage.
"No, who is that?" everyone
laughed. This is how the traditional barbecue begins.
It's an honor to be here to share this night with many of Hollywood's undiscovered, talented, creative people, but never say Hollywood is free of scandals. I mean, even the youngest of us have not been spared its wrath. Then came another man, standing between the two young ladies. His name was William Jonas.
"Hello, Emily. William walked over to the man in the suit, an A-list actress who had won three Oscars in five years. Emily Rader is a famous actress who is popular for her beautiful eyes. Eyes unmatched by anyone. It's a gift, at least that's what everyone says.
Another woman in a miniskirt is also an A-list actress who has won two Oscars in the past five years. "And, Julia," he said, his hand tangled with hers.
"This year the audience can drink from their seats, and I hope you guys will get excited. Everyone laughed and cheered.
"One of the things that Hollywood needs right now is for people to be free from the constraints at work," Julia Rivers said with a blank face.
Everyone laughed and applauded.
"Let's start over,"
"probably the best idea," Julia and Emily said to each other.
The crowd fell into a burst of laughter again.
"Ladies, ladies, no one cares what your whispers are. Am I alone, or are all the men tired of all this little gossip they're doing
," "Anyway, welcome! Welcome to the Oscars! And, most of all, congratulations, congratulations to all the nominees tonight, thank you for letting me be a part of it, I'm excited." I've never been to an Oscars before, and the way you guys go through the host, this could be the last time I'm here, so, I'm going to enjoy this while I'm here!"
Emily and Julia applauded, and the others applauded.
"Yes, so do I, William. There's not much to say, back to the story, millions of Americans and people in more than 225 countries around the world are watching this broadcast, and they hate us right now!" Emily said, making everyone laugh.
The cameras throughout the theater were staring at the actors, who laughed at every word of the host.
"I think it's... A remarkable thing!" Julia said sarcastically.
"No, really. America is divided. Seriously, people want me to do something, say something. I mean, I'm not sure, but the only thing I can tell you in front of millions of people is, reach out to the people closest to you, help. William said with a frown.
"Let me contact someone with whom I've argued,
" "Who?" asked both Julia and Emily.
"Stacey. Goodbye Stacey, how are you?*rival??'s last words he said were quiet, but everyone heard them and laughed. "We've known each other for twelve years, and then — and then everything clashed. What's the name of your movie? He's the best? I mean, I remember how you asked me for the title of the movie, but this? you should throw all the shit and come to me
," "Okay, this movie is great, I'm sure. Julia interrupted her. "Uh, I've watched it three times!" she said, everyone
clapping and "wooing" from the audience.
"It's not halfway yet,"
to everyone's surprise. Emily and William looked at each other.
"Give it a week and you'll get there. I'm sure," Emily patted her on the back.
"When it comes to helping those around you, a divided America reminds me of a lot of things. Racism is something I want people to be aware of. I mean, blacks save whites, whites save jazz. That's what we call progress!"
everyone applauded, and the camera shifted to Ian's face. He smirked and applauded.
"Six Oscar nominations?really?Boy, isn't this the first time I've been here?" asked Julia, then shrugged.
Everyone laughed. Ian opened his mouth, "Yes, yes".
"Everyone is La La Land, breaking the record of a rookie director—
" "Let's talk about something more important?" Emily asked in the middle, making everyone laugh.
"John Chandler, man, what's going on there?" asked William, with a pair of eyes around him staring at him.
John waves to the camera.
"Give it up for John's sake. Watching the movie, it's — it's great! I watched it three times — "Everyone applauded again.
"It's still in the middle!" Emily
and Julia raised their eyebrows. "You'll get there, don't worry," Emily muttered.
"Go on... The stage will be open for all winners. They can give speeches. Speech: Yes. Please be brief. I mean, we don't want to hear your thanks to your family and everyone. Honestly, we're all hungry, aren't we?"
everyone laughed at her words.
"I mean—I mean, we're going to award the shortest speech! yes, that's right. See that over there?"
there was also an award in the corner of the stage. He looked tall and boxy, and there was a guy with a microphone.
"The prize goes to the person who speaks the shortest. Emily said with a smile.
"Oh, don't worry Jacob, I peed myself when I was pregnant. "
What?" both Emily and Julia turned to look at William.
"It's your conversation, my fault, but hey. It's Jacob's song," William said.
It lasted 8 to 10 minutes, and the award ceremony began immediately.
"Let's start with the awards, it's very exciting. Anything can happen tonight. I mean anything! There are two possibilities, the first possibility is to jog for Best Film,"
the crowd applauded.
"Second possibility, you're all racist,"
the crowd laughed again.
Soon after, the awards began, "... That being said, the Best Actor award went to... Ferris Bakada, because he smiled silently,"
Ferris walked up to the podium with a big smile on his face. Picking up the trophy and walking to the microphone, he took a deep breath and began to speak.
After the speech, he thanked everyone around him, including the crew, the director, his family, and all those who supported him.
"The next award is Best Actress, let's take a brief look at the nominations. "
On the big screen behind the stage, pictures and videos of different films that were nominated for Best Actress were shown. The first nomination is Eloise of La La Land. It was a picture of her performing solo in the theater.
"The Academy Award for Best Actress went to... Eloise Hampton
!La La Land!" As this was the first award for La La Land, Ian and others in their vicinity stood up to congratulate Eloise. With a big smile, she walked onto the stage.
"I owe a debt of gratitude to Ian for this brilliant film idea. Thank you all for accepting the role of Mia, I'm glad to be here, I just want to say that whoever you are, if you can dream, you can do it," Eloise said as she showed the trophy to the crowd and walked off the stage.
Hearing her words, the audience applauded.
After her speech, the audience fell silent. Within seconds, the three hosts walked in in three different outfits. William wears a suit that makes him look like an old man who has just come out of a musical. Julia holds a piece of pizza in her hand, grinning, and taking a bite of it from time to time. Emily wears a wedding dress that symbolizes the movie "He's the Best".
There was a brief conversation between them, and the crowd erupted in laughter as Emily fell off the stage and she walked all the way to her back. It's all part of the play, so she didn't get hurt.
A few seconds later, the list of nominees for Best Screenplay appeared on the screen.
"The Academy Award for Best Screenplay went to... Ian Renner's La La Land!"
Ian raised his eyebrows. Everyone applauded, and some even stood up from their seats.
"As a result, Ian is arguably the youngest laureate in '89," William said as he walked to the stage with the trophy in hand.
"Thank you so much, thank you, thank you," his voice became indistinct amid clapping and shouting. "Thank you, College Voters, and I want to thank my wonderful team, Uncle Mason and everyone else. I'd be very sad if I missed any of my team's names, so thank you. La La Land is about the harsh realities of Hollywood and the real possibilities of opportunity. I salute all the nominees. It's a great tribute to the city and an amazing honor to my family and amazing people. Thank you so much," he said with a smile, before getting off the stage.
As soon as the title of the movie was mentioned, Ian and the cast of La La Land, who were sitting nearby, applauded. Ryan patted Stefan Haig on the shoulder.
"Thank you so much, thank you. Chi Shi put the trophy in his hand and said with a smile. To show off to the crowd, he kissed it in public.
"Thank you for giving me this opportunity, thank you for the Academy Award, I want to thank you all, I'm very happy to be here, thank you," Miroslav said with a smile, but his eyes could not see.
At the end of the ceremony, La La Land won the award for Best Screenplay and Best Actress. The other four nominations, including Best Picture, fell short. Still, Ian has a big smile on his face as he walks towards his car. Tired and happy.
June has won the most Oscars because it is truly a masterpiece of an experienced director. Watch June, and everyone inside and outside the industry see what accomplished thousands of miles away.
