Reborn to Dominate Hollywood
Chapter 82
"Ian, it's a pleasure to see you again," Steven, publisher of Itas Culture, said as Ian sat down in front of him.
Ian and Steven decide to meet at a café to discuss as much of Ian's latest ideas as possible.
"Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief
" "Steven, I'm glad to see you again, too," Ian said and shook the man's hand.
"Is that a draft?" Steven asked, pointing to the paper book in Ian's hand.
Ian finished the first draft of the book a day earlier, and one thing Steven must know is that under no circumstances does Ian want any part of the story to be edited.
He made a few small changes to fit the world, but he liked the story as it was.
"Yes, look," Ian said, handing over the book he had been carrying.
Steven took the book from Ian's hand and read the first page, his eyes lifted in disbelief.
"It must be pretty, as an author, can you tell us what you think of the story?" he asked.
"Yes. So, how about we order coffee first?" asked Ian, and Steven smiled and nodded.
Steven was excited to read and understand the whole idea of it, as he saw Ian's talent.
"Can we give me... The milky cappuccino and—
" "Please give me a flat white,"
Ian and Steven ordered, and Steven couldn't wait to ask for more information about the book.
"So?"
"Yes, so, the lightning thief is a light-hearted fantasy novel. The book in front of you is about a modern 12-year-old boy whose real father is Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea. The protagonist's name is Posey, and Posey intends to be a hero who is going to travel through the United States in search of an entrance to the underworld, and then he tries to stop the war between the gods" explains Ian in the same detail he explained to Mason.
"Hmm... Sounds fresh. And yes, it's good, and I think it's a great opportunity because we'll be confirming the Resident Evil movie soon," Steven said with a laugh. "Interest in fiction will be awakened again
," "yes, exactly." I'm currently in talks with Kubo Pictures about this, and it's likely that a deal will be reached soon. With this, sooner or later we can make an announcement. Ian said and nodded at the waiter who ordered them.
They all thanked him as he walked away in silence.
"It's fantastic, Ian. What's the story behind this story?" Steven asked.
"Well, every thought I have for these books is very original, and honestly, I have a lot of them. Just thoughts. So I wanted to finish the book because the story stuck in my head for a long time. And I've always been a fan of Greek mythology, so there are a couple of reasons," Ian explains.
They chatted for an hour or two, and the conversation flew back and forth between books, stories, ideas, and many other things, and Steven had been looking forward to seeing Ian again — and that too, with his latest book. And since Ian's call, Steven has been looking forward to meeting this young talent he admires so much.
-
"So, Ian, isn't it true that you don't give characters when you sleep?" asked a tall brunette woman, her hands stroking up and down Ian's chest.
Next to him stood another girl with the same hair, looking at Ian with a bewitching face.
"I think he slept with the girl after playing the role. Is that it, Ian?" she said, reaching out and stroking Ian's face.
"I give characters by talent, what talent do you have?" Ian asked with a smile, which made the five girls giggle.
Currently, Ian and John are at a bar.
The music was too loud, and the purple and white lights kept the bar from going dark.
There are naked men and women dancing and enjoying their time.
John brings a few friends from a mutual circle of friends, and given Ian's recent stiffness and John's seriousness about his work, they can have some fun.
"So the plan is to take two home?" John asked aloud to the sound of music.
"It could be one, or all of them. Who knows?"
the two got a little drunk, and Ian immediately picked the girl out of the car, but the seductive eyes were irresistible.
Ian and the girl he brought over the night were in ecstasy all night.
The next morning, Ian woke up in bed.
Looking at the girl sleeping peacefully next to him, her name is not yet known, but Ian remembers something like "Ellie", but Ian doesn't want to risk off the girl, so he decides not to call her any name.
A hand ran through her hair, and he woke her up with a gentle kiss, fingers caressing her hair, and Ian looked at her, trying to wake her up.
Ellie opened her eyes in a daze, smiling at Ian through her messy hair.
"Hey handsome guy. "
Hmm... Why are you so beautiful in the morning? Get up, I'll let the driver take you back, I'll have something to do later. Ian flirted with his rough voice.
After Ellie leaves, Ian leaves the house and he meets with the publisher Steven.
It's been a few weeks since Ian met with Steven, the publisher of Etas Culture.
Since then, Ian has met with Steven two or three more times before he starts marketing to the newcomers.
While Etas Culture was busy reviewing Ian's book, Ian took a break and thought about his next move.
Ian even started thinking about the script – he knew people would love the next movie he conceived.
With this in mind, he took a short break from his work to focus on screenwriting and his novels.
During these meetings, they discussed the plot and content that Steven suggested editing in the first draft.
Some minor changes were acceptable to Ian, but for others, Ian insisted on not changing.
Ian and Steven also had to negotiate over royalties, and after a lengthy discussion of all the necessary details, they gave Ian a 7.5% royalty on every paperback book sold and a 25% royalty on every ebook sold.
The deal is fair for both parties, and Ian agrees it's good.
Still, after a light-hearted promotion, the day has finally arrived when Percy Jackson: Lightning Thief hits the shelves.
"The cover is very well done, it looks absolutely stunning, exactly what I imagined," Ian said, touching the first edition of the first book he received a few days ago.
In Ian's office, Steven, who sat across from Ian, had a smile on his face.
"I'm glad we agreed, and this time, people everywhere were simply dumbfounded when they saw the new book. There are more overseas orders on the website than here. And the reviews themselves are already good, more than a hundred in the first three hours, "said Steven as he scrolled through his digital tablet.
Ian smiled, knowing what he was talking about.
Because, as soon as the publicity campaign came out, some people pre-ordered, and Ian, as a young famous director, played a large part of his influence in the promotion of the new book.
In any case, the cover itself attracted a lot of readers, and on the first day the cover designer came in, everyone knew that it was a child, holding a long stick and ready to throw it into the distance.
The background is blue, as Ian requested, but the lightning, the environment, and everything else look too good to be true.
Ever since this sentence came out, there has been a lot of talk about how talented Ian is, both writing his own movies and devoting himself to the fictional world.
During the marketing campaign, almost every local bookstore had a banner reading "Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief" hanging in front of their door.
As for the release of the new book, Steven had asked Ian to hold a small ceremony, but Ian said he would do a small ceremony at his next release, and since the book was released in a bit of a rush, he said it was fine even without a celebratory ceremony.
Anyway, the media has been frantic about the release of the book, with people in front of Studio Reina – more than usual, waiting for answers to the most anticipated questions.
"The book itself has a unique feel to it, Ian. I'm sure the book will soon be at number one on the New York Times bestseller list," Steven said, getting up and walking out the door, knowing that it was the first day of release, so he was busy.
"I've got four different channels of interviews ready, three of them from UTube, and believe me, I never knew Americans would be so keen on books," Steven joked.
"Haha... Wait, I'll take a look at the reviews, there are already more than a thousand people on the site. Ian said, glancing.
"Enjoy, goodbye," Steven shook Ian's hand and walked out the door.
Ian opened his laptop and checked the website. Not only people, but also well-known authors reviewed the book at the request of Aitas Culture.
A magical mythological book. One of the best books I've read so far.
As a children's fantasy writer, I find this book very interesting as a trip/adventure. I think this can be named one of the best books of all time.
Best book I've ever read. It only took me two hours.
Looking at the small reviews that those popular authors have commented, Ian felt a sense of satisfaction and pride in his heart.
New Notification* New Email: [email protected]
next second, Ian opened the email and looked at three lines with an unexpected meeting request on it, hoping to confirm the schedule for the next forty-eight hours.

"Happy Birthday to You! Happy Birthday to You!
Happy Birthday Dear Bob Bob!"
"
Bob Saunders blows the candles marked 1 and 2, he has been hoping for what he wants for years.
"I wish I could have my own library at least this year," he said to himself, blowing out the candles.
"Happy birthday, kid. The father walked up to him with a smile and hugged him on the back of the child.
Then his mother, then his two siblings, with a big smile on their faces, wished him a happy birthday.
"Happy birthday Bobby!" his best friend wishes him, Bob feeds him a piece of cake, and his friend hugs him tightly.
"For many years to come," he said, walking away.
Six of his other friends wished him well afterwards.
This is the second time he's had a birthday with friends, and Bob's family often moves from one place to another.
But to his surprise, they've been in Las Vegas for more than two years now.
He has always been an introvert due to family reasons.
That said, it was his mom's idea to invite friends – even if he insisted on inviting his only best friend.
"Do you feel happy?" questioned his mom as everyone else was eating.
"I've been happy, Mom, and I'll be happy even if Rick is here today," Bob said as he continued to eat the chocolate cake in his hand.
"It's time for the gift!" the father's shout resounded throughout the audience, causing all the children to circle around him.
Bob walks over to them, and his father begins to record his reaction to the gifts each one brings.
On the table to his left, there were more than a dozen gifts—each one stunning from the shell.
"I want this to end as soon as possible, I just want to sleep" Bob thought as the others applauded and encouraged him to open the present.
"Open the gifts one by one, purple wrapper!" his father shouted behind the camera.
He slowly opened the wrapper, and inside was a huge puzzle with more pieces in it.
[... Bob - in his bed]
He took the book in his hand, "Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief".
The gift was given to him by a friend of his, who revealed that my mom asked me to give it to you, considering that the book was about Greek mythology. I think it's very similar to you personally, because we don't understand you sometimes, and it's like Greek to us," Bob confessed as he was about to open the book.
After thinking about it a few more times, Bob opened the book. One thought that invaded Bob's mind was how beautiful the cover itself was.
Turning the pages, he inhaled the scene from the book.
As night fell, his gaze wandered over the words on the book.
It becomes addictive, and from the first sentence, Bob becomes interested in the character of Percy and wants to know more about him.
_/\_
"Titan," I correct myself.
"And... He doesn't believe in his children, they are gods. So, well, Kronos ate them, right? But his wife hid little Zeus and gave Kronos a stone to eat instead. Later, when Zeus grew up, he tricked his father Kronos into making his siblings vomit - "
Ouch!" said a girl behind me.
"—and so there was this great battle between the gods and the Titans," I continued, "and the gods won. Some
snickering in the group.

"Ahahaha" Bob laughed out loud, reciting the same sentence over and over again, imagining how funny it was to be in that situation.
"Oh my gosh, I'm going to stay up all night reading this book," Bob thought, flipping to the next page.
