Chapter 48: Yayan
Wang Wen's temperament is elegant and light, so the dust washing banquet held is naturally not polite and dull. I chose the waterfront pavilion, burning incense and hanging the curtain. At this time, the lotus flower in the pool is just blooming. Looking at it from the distance, the terrace seems to float among the flowers, which is quite dusty.
Before the hour, someone came in an ox cart with joy.
Seeing the people coming, Wang Wen was also a little surprised, and greeted him: "Why did Zhongpu come?"
"This time I can finally see the Liang Langjun that Maoshen said, how can I not come?" The visitor slapped and waved his feather fan. This person's name is Pei Chu, and he was born in the Pei clan of Hedong, who is no less inferior to the king of Jinyang. At the same time, the two families have the advantage of sharing the family, so uninvited, it can only be said that it is a pleasure and cannot be harsh.
Wang Wen couldn't laugh or cry in his heart. He knew that Pei Zhongpu was keen on his uncle's theory of "respect for existence", and he was quite disdainful of his favorite Buddhism. This time Jinyang incident, I am afraid that this person has long been heartbroken, and the saying "Chongyou" is even more incompatible with the true meaning of the "Diamond Sutra". Isn't it a villain to come to the banquet now?
But everyone came, so Wang Wen had to smile and invited Pei Chu to walk into the pavilion.
With Pei Chu's arrival, other guests also arrived. The Sun family in Zhongdu, the Guo family in Yangqu, and the Huangyu family in Waihuangyu are all famous in Taiyuan, and they have a close friendship with Wang Wen. Not long after, the banquet was full of friends.
"Why isn't that Liang Zixi still yet?" Pei Chu couldn't help but ask when people were there.
Wang Wen explained with a smile: "Zixi is weak, I'm afraid he can't go too fast...Hey, this is not here."
Following Wang Wen's gaze, everyone looked out of the pavilion together, and saw a figure coming through the bamboo forest on the bank.
At first glance, you will feel that the person is extremely thin. Thin and tall, his broad robe and large sleeves are not at all cumbersome, only to make him a slender figure, elegant and free, just like Zhuozhuo lonely crane.
At the second glance, you will find that the person is extremely beautiful. Without applying Fendai, the face is still white with snow, and his eyes are like lacquer. A pair of eyes gleaming like stars, making that beautiful beauty even more three-pointers.
At the third glance, he was surprised that the person was in trouble. Although his body is tall and straight and his eyes are bright and sharp, there is always a hint of blue in his eyes. Under that graceful posture, it was haggard and sick, which made people feel compassionate. And this pity can't be said in the mouth, for fear that it will despise the man's Qiongshu grace.
Pei Chu was taken aback and tilted his head and said, "Mao Shen, you never said that this son has such an appearance!"
Wang Wen chuckled: "When you get along with Zixi, you will forget his appearance and only remember his wind god."
Between words, Liang Feng has already stepped onto the curved gallery, walked slowly into the pavilion, and said, "I have seen Wang Zhongzheng."
"Zixi, come here." Wang Wen smiled and waved, "This is Dr. Pei Zhongpu of Zhongsan. Zhongpu, this is what I mean by Liang Zixi."
"I have seen Pei Zhongsan."
Under Wang Wen's recommendation, Liang Feng met the guests who came to the banquet one by one. Although he has no official title, he still has a Tinghou name, and in the eyes of these people, he is also a standard gentry child. Several people gave a salute, and then they took their seats.
Wang Wen gently stroked his palm: "The name of this banquet is He Zixi who came from afar. It is really a joy to celebrate Jinyang's refuge from the epidemic.
Along with his applause, the maid was dressed elegantly, and Yupanzhen presented the table. Since it is a banquet for relatives and friends, naturally there is not much attention to it. Although the meals in the palace are not as luxurious as those in Shi Chong's palace, they are also exquisite and delicious. If you come from a poor background, you must swallow your tongue.
Pei Chu looked on at today's guest of honor with cold eyes, only to see Liang Zixi behaved elegantly, with no dissimilar expression on his face. Can Liang Mansion eat such delicacies? I'm afraid not necessarily. Just looking at the man's clothes and crown, you know that there is no extravagance in his family. However, such a person can stand the prosperity of the world and be delicious? I'm afraid that, together with the theory of dreaming, it's just hypocritical.
Gently put down the ivory chopsticks in his hand, Pei Chu smiled and said: "I have long heard of Zixi's name, Jinyang epidemic. Fortunately, a doctor can avoid the disaster. If this method can be spread all over the world, it will be a blessing for all people."
Since others were asking questions, Liang Zixi didn't have to eat the delicacies of mountains and seas that lacked oil, salt, and seasonings, put down his chopsticks and replied, "Pei Zhongsan said it is quite true."
Pei Chu couldn't help but choked. He didn't expect that this person would not at all annoy him to skip the Buddha's dream, but his words did not stop, but said: "It's just this good method, which is similar to the "Diamond Sutra" written by Zixi. There is a difference. I read the scriptures saying that'all appearances are all vain', and it also says that'everything is like a dream bubble, like dew is like electricity.' If it is said in the scripture, wouldn't there be no law? If this is the case, where does the name and teaching exist? What is the continuation of the etiquette and law? And why bother with others?"
"Zhongpu..."
Knowing that Pei Chu was starting to find fault, Wang Wen couldn't help feeling a headache and wanted to persuade him. Unexpectedly, Sun Tai, who was sitting by his side, spoke: "All things are born from being, and being born from nothing. If there is no, how can there be? The famous teaching comes from nature, comes from the heart, and goes back to nothing."
Now Wang Wen is not easy to speak. Sun Taiji Chonghe Wangzhi said that he has always been unaccustomed to Pei Wei's "Chongyou theory", and he naturally wants to win a win against Pei Chu, who teaches etiquette frequently. This is Xuan Tan, and no one is allowed to step in.
I never thought that someone would cross the bar, but it was my uncle who reprimanded him. Pei Chu suddenly came to the spirit: "Husband creator, there is no? No? Hu can create things? Yes? It is not enough for all forms! All things are born by themselves, and only have the form of'natural'. "
As soon as he said this, Sun Tai couldn't help but stunned. This seemed to contradict the original intent of "Chongyou Theory," but it came down in the same line and was not easy to discern. After thinking about it, he said: "Water in the earth is called river, steaming is called rain, and condensing is called ice. The same physical property, but change is impermanent. Nameless, the beginning of heaven and earth; being famous, the mother of all things. All things start from the slightest and the last. Success starts from nothing and then reproduces. This is the way."
"There is no way, how can God be born? Dao can not be used, but the other is always natural. Things follow their origin, so the pseudonym is Dao." Pei Chu waved the feather fan and sneered coldly.
Mingjiao comes from nature, or is higher than nature. This is the most frequently debated topic of the famous scholars in the Wei and Jin Dynasties. It is also a dispute between Confucianism and Taoism. Whether it is King Ho or the Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove, they are more inclined to nature and respect the truth. However, the Chongyou faction headed by Pei Wei and Guo Xiang pays more attention to naming religions, believing that these fanatics have destroyed the foundation of society. If there is no restraint of the principles and religions, there will naturally be no social ontology.
Therefore, after seeing the work "Diamond Sutra", the two schools will naturally have completely different reactions. It's a pity that Sun Taiqing is obviously inferior to Pei Chu in talking about skills, but just a few words, he was caught the key point. "Dao can be Tao, very Tao; name can be famous, very famous." It is written in the first chapter of "Laozi". If it is interpreted as "dao in pseudonym", wouldn't it be the right thing? Pei Chu's blow was extremely abnormal.
Seeing that Sun Tai was speechless for a while, Shi Shiran turned his head and smiled at Liang Feng: "Zixi, what is the interpretation of the "Diamond Sutra" theory?"
Liang Feng smiled slightly: "The'vailing' in the scriptures refers to emptiness, not'being' or'nothing'."
What does it mean? Not just Pei Chu, everyone cheered up. After all, the "Diamond Sutra" is said to have come from the Buddha's dream, and Liang Feng is the only recorder of it. So his explanation is naturally an important basis for interpreting the Diamond Sutra.
"There are moons and thousands of rivers in the sky, dare you ask if there is a moon in the river, or is there no moon?" Liang Feng asked.
"This..." Pei Chu hesitated for a moment before he said, "There is no moon in the river, only moon shadows remain."
"The flower in the mirror and the moon in the water can be seen by everyone. They are all vain." Liang Feng replied, "This is emptiness. How do you know that the moon in the sky is real when the monarchs only know that the moon in the sky is real? Passing the moon in the sky? Is there something that comes from nothing, and nothing is true or false? If nothing is chaos, how can there be distinguish between false and true?"
This is a simple dialectic. Pei Chu pondered for a moment and shook his head: "In life, you can taste the five flavors, recognize the five colors, and argue the five sounds. Naturally, it is true."
"Blindness does not recognize colors, deafness does not recognize sounds, and some people cannot taste the five flavors. What you see and know is only in your own mind."
This is a question of "nature" itself. Facing this kind of pure idealism argument, Sun Tai couldn't help saying: "The blind can stand in the rain without seeing the rain. Rain is natural and not vain."
"I have also heard that some people lose their legs due to the war, and wake up with pain in their legs every day. Where does the pain come from if the leg is lost?"
This argument involves neurological principles, and the extension is the relationship between the consciousness and the body of later generations. The ethical paradox of robots in science fiction is still unsolvable in later generations. Liang Feng does not believe that people in this world can give the answer.
Sure enough, everyone was silent.
Liang Feng sighed softly: "Therefore, the last five words should not be missing in the sentence in the sutra: the view should be done like this."
The difference between five characters is the difference between Tianyuan.
Regardless of whether it is advocating of existence or advocating of non-existence, they all follow the unity of Taoism and Mind, and they are dialectical one-dimensional and two-sided, without distinction between idealistic materialism. However, Liang Feng explained in this way that he put the foundation of the Diamond Sutra above his own spirituality. That is, everything changes rapidly, only the truth is the same. This turns the dispute between the Tao and the body into a code of conduct, and what does it matter when a person acts in accordance with the truth, whether he respects the "respect for the name and religion" or the "law and nature" that is not?
Pei Chu still couldn't agree with it: "If the Buddha says it's wrong, why should he treat the epidemic? Wouldn't it be the same?"
"All sentient beings, if the egg is born, if the viviparous, if the wet, if the metamorphosis, if the color, if the colorless, if there is thought, if there is no thought, if there is no thought, if there is no thought, I will give birth to nirvana. And extinction.” Liang Feng recited a scripture, “Buddha is willing to save sentient beings.”
At this time, Buddhism is still dominated by the Hinayana, and the Mahayana is also moving closer to metaphysics, aiming at cultivating the mind and self, regardless of the world. "Diamond Sutra" is the ancestor of many schools of emptiness. However, Liang Feng's interpretation led it to another direction, which is compassion. Everyone in later generations has heard the story of "There is no space in **** to swear to become a Buddha", and it is also the root of Ksitigarbha's widely respected Bodhisattva. Buddhism is compassion, and it is the compassion that relieves all people from hanging upside down, which makes Buddhism and Confucianism have similarities, and it also allows Buddhism to truly take root in China. And this explanation exactly echoes the Buddha's saying that he fell into a dream and avoided the epidemic, and it corresponds to the beginning and the end.
This is the answer that Liang Feng came up with recently. Read the book a hundred times, and its meaning is self-evident. In a classic such as "Diamond Sutra", it is not difficult to find the direction that suits one's own explanation. If he must adhere to Buddhism at the moment, then he doesn't mind to make this Mahayana thinking public in advance. As long as the people are good, what does it matter if it is Buddhism, Taoism or Confucianism? In troubled times, any shelter can save more people.
Unexpectedly, a long scroll of scripture would be so interpreted, but everyone can see how serious the person in front of him is! Does he really believe in Buddhism? I'm afraid it's not all. If there is no name to teach, how can we explain this?
Pei Chu finally let out a long sigh and toasted: "If you have such a word, you should be confessed."
Liang Feng smiled and picked up the tea cup on the table: "You can't drink if you are weak. Use tea instead of wine."
When the doctors in the middle of the court toasted, they could also say that the use of tea instead of wine was completely rude, but it was rustling like a spring breeze. Pei Chu laughed and drank the wine in his hand: "Mao Shen has a good eye, and drink it too!"
Wang Wen's heart was agitated at this time, how could he refuse. Everyone here drinks and cheers again.
At this moment, Pei Chu didn't have any doubts at the beginning, and he said with great interest: "There are great wines, wonderful people, and full pools of Bihe, why don't you use this as an order! Zixi is willing to put the top spot?"
This is the order of wine and poetry. A feast of celebrities, how can you lack poetry as a companion?
Liang Feng shook his head: "I am not good at poems, and I hope Pei Zhongsan will forgive me."
It is considered rude to replace wine with tea, and now he claims to be bad at poems, which is a bit disappointing. It will be like this at the elegant banquet, either incompetent or boring. But his remarks just now didn't look like an incompetent person.
Pei Chu frowned: "Does Zixi never write poems?"
"After waking up from a serious illness, I no longer chant poems and make fus." Liang Feng replied lightly, "Shinon's heartfelt voice, my heart can only hear it at this moment: Can you live?"
Pei Chu opened his mouth, and finally closed it again. Pei Wei, who wrote "The Theory of Chongyou", was a rare able minister in the Western Jin Dynasty, or in other words, all Confucian scholars with the same name believe in the minds of the people. Since he is keen on "respect for existence", Pei Chu will not be a person who only cares about his own birthday. And the one sentence "Can you live?" is more than a thousand poems!
Pei Chu sighed: "Everyone speaks of it, and the children of the Wei family are like a stranger. Now when I see Zixi, I know what ice muscles are! It's no wonder that the Buddha would choose people to dream."
If Buddhism is based on compassion, then choosing the Liang Zixi in front of him is really correct. After years of turmoil in the world, how many Confucian scholars could not display the splendor in their hearts, or died in depression, but died prematurely. When everyone is fascinated, when you encounter a sober person, how can you not make people awaken in a dream? How can we not admire the boldness of daring to express her **** in such a straightforward manner, and to feed a tiger with her own body?
Wang Wen also looked at Liang Feng in surprise. After a few months, the wandering figure seemed to stand firm, like a dying tree, sending out new branches. Is it due to Buddhism or a secular choice? Wang Wen didn't know, but the young man in front of him did have a different spirit, which made people more and more enamoured!
Seeing the reactions of everyone around him, Liang Feng was also relieved in his heart. As a thorough modern person, using some dialectics, discussing materialism and idealism, he can still handle it, but poetry is absolutely impossible. This is not a problem that can be solved by knowing a few famous poems. Not to mention that most of the quatrains that are spread in later generations are mainly quatrains. Just the poetry habit of literati is not something that people with little literary accomplishment can cope with.
Whether it is traveling or drinking, any literati's poems when they are having fun are "propositional composition", which is an out-and-out word game. He didn't come from the literature department. Are those poems in memory enough to deal with the proposition of this banquet? And the poetry is good, but the essay cannot be bad. Is it possible to write a beautiful fu with literary rhetoric casually?
Relying on the memory of later generations to lose the book bag, the lighter has the stigma of being exhausted; the more serious, I am afraid that it is suspected that there is a ghostwriter or whether there is plagiarism. When he hit this, he was ruined in minutes, and Liang Feng would not do such a stupid thing.
By taking Buddhism as a foothold, you can cleverly avoid these things. The Buddha speaks of enlightenment and the language of sentient beings, not seeking hardship, but seeking wisdom. With compassion in mind, why is it necessary to make a false name? Anyway, the Wei and Jin dynasties are not lacking in unconventionalism, as long as they have a high-level character, they are celebrities!
The banquet can't go on, but everyone feels that it is worthwhile. That divergent Liang Langjun was even more outstanding than imagined, perfectly meeting the expectations of the family's children. Coupled with the praise of Pei Chu, a person who does not believe in Buddhism, Liang Feng is covered with a halo, making the shimmering Buddha's name even more dazzling.
Perhaps it was because Liang Feng was really weak and Pei Chu's lesson learned from the past, Wang Wen did not hold another feast in the next two days, but personally accompanied him. Or discuss the Buddhism in the "Diamond Sutra", or use the zither to practice Chinese characters to kill time.
Wang Wen's piano skills are indeed excellent, and Liang Feng couldn't help but calm down to learn some real piano techniques. And some of the music theories he occasionally displayed in later generations also made Wang Wen very intimate.
Two days passed in a flash, and on July 15th, the Fa meeting arrived as scheduled.
