Savior Simulator

Chapter 25 Young Suma

The young monk wandered in the desert and lost his way.

The sheepskin water bag had dried up, and the only rations he carried were four dates and half a piece of naan. To make matters worse, the weather became extremely bad, and the storm was whistling with sand and dust, covering the sky and the sun.

The camel felt the coming of the sandstorm before its owner, and in panic it broke free from the reins, threw Su Mo on the sand, and ran away.

Su Mo tried to catch up with the camel, but soon got lost in the dark sandstorm and couldn't see the direction at all. Countless sand grains came head-on with the strong wind, hitting his face and stinging him, making him feel unable to breathe.

What's more terrible is that the sand dunes under his feet suddenly collapsed, as if the earth opened its throat to swallow him whole.

The young man was trapped in the double torture of quicksand and sandstorm, his consciousness gradually blurred, and the figure of the god of death seemed to be within reach.

At the moment of falling into coma, Su Mo tightly grasped the copper collar that his mother gave him before she died, praying for God's blessing.

...

Just as when Basaka prayed in prison, he received the response of Gao Fei, the "savior", and tried to help him escape from prison, Jiang Feng also relied on him as the "savior" when Su Mo prayed desperately, helping the young monk to survive.

"How did you escape from the quicksand later?" Gao Fei asked Jiang Feng.

"I didn't do anything, I just lay on the sand dune without moving. The strong sandstorm pushed the sand dune to roll slowly forward, and finally threw me out of the quicksand." Jiang Feng replied with a smile.

Gao Fei felt incredible at first, but after thinking about it carefully, he had to admit that she made the wisest decision.

Under the circumstances at that time, the more you struggle, the deeper you will fall into the quicksand. Keeping quiet and leaving it to fate can eventually save you.

After escaping the quicksand by luck, Jiang Feng controlled Su Mo to trek through the desert. When she was about to die of thirst, she finally found an oasis with clean water, which solved her urgent problem.

However, the good times did not last long. She soon discovered that she was not the only resident in the oasis.

There were embers of campfires near the spring, as well as leftover bones, and footprints of humanoids and beasts.

Not long after, Jiang Feng encountered a group of hyenas.

These ferocious beasts pounced on her and bit her, forcing her to protect herself.

Initially, Jiang Feng was careless in operation, causing Su Mo to be surrounded and bitten to death by hyenas, and was forced to reload the game.

After a lesson, she fought and ran to avoid being besieged. After spending most of the day, she finally killed all 12 hyenas in two waves.

The 12 hyenas provided a total of 300 experience points, just enough for Su Mo to be promoted to a level 2 monk.

Apart from this group of hyenas, no other enemies were found for the time being. Jiang Feng set up a temporary camp by the spring, thus completing the plot milestone of the prologue and obtaining a bonus expertise.

After the battle, Jiang Feng checked the hyena corpses and found that the dogs were wearing animal skin collars around their necks, indicating that these hyenas were domesticated fighting beasts, and more dangerous enemies were still behind.

As expected, Gao Fei's Berserker had just teleported over when he heard messy footsteps coming from the bushes opposite the spring, mixed with roars that sounded like humans and wolves.

"The situation is not good, hide quickly!"

Gao Fei manipulated Basaka to hide in the bushes, and Jiang Feng's monks followed him, squatting behind the bushes, looking vigilantly at the roar through the branches and leaves.

As they watched, a group of tall humanoid creatures came to the spring with great momentum, and saw the hyena corpses lying on the ground in all directions, all of them were shocked and angry, howling strangely.

There were five uninvited guests, all of them were no less than two meters tall, wearing simple animal skin armor, holding flails, with small leather shields tied to their arms, and javelins slung across their backs.

Their body features were similar to those of humans, but they had heads that looked like coyotes, with bared teeth and fierce faces. Where the leather armor could not cover, their spotted skin and dirty brown mane were exposed.

Five spotted hyenas followed these half-human, half-wolf monsters, running around them, barking like loyal dogs beside hunters.

"What kind of monster is this... a werewolf?" Jiang Feng wondered to himself.

"It's a jackal, the offspring of the demon lord Yenogu, a villain in the fantasy world who is as famous as goblins and orcs, and almost all of them are evil robbers by nature!"

Gao Fei called up the new monster illustrations included in the star disk and pointed them out to Jiang Feng.

The strength of the gnoll bandits is slightly stronger than the half-orc jailer who guarded Basaka. They mastered the three martial arts of "cleave", "power attack" and "mastery of tripping".

Needless to say, cleave can be counted into the damage dice with "power attack". At the level of the gnoll, it is equivalent to adding 2 points of damage to each attack!

"Mastery of tripping" is a talent that can be generally possessed by canine beasts. After biting the prey, they roll over and force the prey to the ground.

The gnolls are not born with a dog head in vain. They are also good at tripping skills. However, they no longer bite the prey like wild beasts, but skillfully use weapons to trip the opponent.

Among the five gnolls, the most conspicuous one is a guy dressed very "Shamatte", with green and red dyed mane, a shiny silver belt around his waist, a big gold chain around his neck, two strings of gold rings on his ears, and a nose and lip studs, and black eye circles painted with carbon ash to look like smoky makeup.

This cool guy... or maybe a sister, is the "Alpha" of the gnoll gang - in the language of the gnolls, "Alpha" means leader.

The hyena behind the gnoll leader is also unusual. Compared with those skinny ordinary hyenas, this beast is obviously more ferocious, and its body is as strong as a brown bear. You can tell from a distance that it is not easy to mess with.
