Story background:

The letter "d" in the status bar represents dice with various numbers of faces, which is used to reflect the randomness of the game.

For example, "1d4" means rolling a four-sided dice, and the random number is between 1 and 4.

If a certain test has an "advantage", it means rolling two twenty-sided dice and taking the larger number; conversely, "disadvantage" means taking the lower number of both dice.

There is another key data, which is "attribute modification".

In this fantasy world, the average value of the six attributes of ordinary people is 10 points. Subtract 10 points from a certain attribute of the character, divide it by 2, and round it down to the correct value of the attribute.

In the status bar of Basaka, the number in brackets after the attribute value is the corresponding attribute modification.

"Attribute modification" data is needed in calculating the hit rate of magic and physical attacks, skills and exemptions, health points and the number of times special abilities are used.

For example, to calculate the hit rate of an attack, that is, "attack test", first roll a twenty-sided dice, and then add the strength modification, proficiency bonus and other bonuses.

Basaka's strength attribute is 18 points, and the strength modification is +4.

The prisoner has no weapon, but fortunately, Basaka has received combat training since childhood, and can also gain proficiency modifier (+2) by fighting with bare hands.

The total of the two is +6, and then add the random points obtained by rolling the twenty-sided dice. If the total is not less than the enemy's defense level, the opponent can be hit.
