Serious People, Who is Learning Magic at Marvel?
13. First time at Hogwarts
There were no more strange episodes along the way. Harry and Ron chatted all the way, and she learned a lot about the wizarding world. Ron also mentions a young man named He Shenyan, who is said to have caught Voldemort and changed the way Hogwarts is taught. There was a lot of talk about it, but no one had ever heard of him before.
"He's in the headlines with Dumbledore!" Ron said inarticulately, stuffing a snack into his mouth. Harry nodded thoughtfully.
She turned her head to look out the window. Under the deep purple sky, rolling hills and dense woods were still faintly visible, and the train seemed to be slowing down. Harry was still wearing the custom suit Snape had bought her, and Ron didn't mean to change into a magic robe. He was wearing a jacket and jeans and looked nothing like the word wizard.
A voice echoed in the carriage: "We are about to arrive at Hogwarts in five minutes. Please leave your luggage in the carriage, and someone will send your luggage to the school in batches."
Harry and Ron grabbed the rest of the candy and put them in their pockets as they squeezed into the crowd in the corridor of the carriage. After a while, the car stopped. They managed to squeeze out of the car door and came to a dark and small platform. The cold wind made Harry shiver, knowing that he should put on his coat.
A dim light danced up and down above the students' heads, swaying from side to side. A loud voice shouted in the dark: "All first-year students come to me!"
A large, furry face appeared in the light, a tall giant with a bushy beard. He held up the lamp and shouted, "First-year freshman! Come! Come meet me! Any more? Walk carefully! Come with me!"
The freshmen stumbled down a small, narrow road following the giant down a very dark side. Harry had a gut feeling that something was watching them in the dark. The silver-gray snake on her right wrist moved.
Almost no one made a sound along the way, save for Neville, who had lost the toad, panting.
The giant led the way, and his loud voice could be heard even by the students at the end of the line: "You'll see Hogwarts soon! Just turn this corner and you'll be there!"
There was a loud applause from the crowd.
The long and narrow path suddenly opened up, and what entered the eyes was a large black lake. A gigantic castle with many turrets and towers sits between two high hills, and the glass of its windows gleams under the starry sky.
Harry fell in love with this place the first time he saw it, and her heart was filled with an inexplicable throbbing. The giant stood in front of the road, pointed to a row of boats on the shore and said, "A boat can only seat four people!"
The freshmen got on the boat one after another, and Harry, Ron, Neville and Hermione sat on the same boat. The giant was sitting on a separate boat by himself, and he asked, "Are they all on board?! Are there any freshmen who haven't boarded?"
After confirming again and again, he shouted: "Very good! Let's go!" The fleet of ships set off at the same time, as if they were gliding together on the mirror-like lake.
All the children were silent, looking up at the grand old castle. As the fleet got closer and closer to the cliff where the castle was located, they felt as if the castle was standing above their heads.
"Head down!" cried the giant when the ship came to the edge of the cliff. They bowed their heads immediately.
The boat carried them through a curtain of ivy over the face of the cliff that shrouded the population, and along a black waterway that ran directly below the castle.
After a long time, they arrived at an underground port. There they disembarked and climbed up a mountain road full of rocks and cobblestones. Guided by the giant's light, they continued to climb up a passage between the rocks on the shore, and finally came to a damp, flat meadow in the shadow of the old castle.
They walked up a flight of stone stairs and gathered in front of the castle's massive oak gates. There are exquisite reliefs on it, and it actually glows in the dark.
The giant walked from the front of the line to the end, counting the number of people and asking if anyone had fallen. After doing all this, he raised his huge fist and knocked three times on the heavy door very hard. The door opened immediately, and a tall black-haired lady in a black robe stood at the door. Her face was serious, and Ron whispered to Harry, "Her class is going to be hard..."
"Professor McGonagall, the first-year students are here," the giant reported to her.
"Thank you, Hagrid. I'll take them in." The giant was called Hagrid. He turned and left. Harry turned to look at the back of his departure, like a moving hill stepping into the darkness. Professor McGonagall's voice sounded from the front door: "Follow me, boys. Be careful not to crowd, there's plenty of space here."
She didn't lie.
Professor McGonagall snapped his fingers, and many people exclaimed. Emerald green magic poured out of the lady's fingers, pushing the door completely open. The entrance hall inside was so large that Harry thought it could even fit her uncle's entire house. Torches illuminate the stone walls, the ceilings are unimaginably high, and the beautiful marble staircase on the front leads upstairs. They followed the lady over a section of the bunting-strewn floor, and Halle could hear hundreds of clamors coming from the entrance on the right - the rest of the school had already arrived. —but Professor McGonagall took the freshmen to a small empty room away from the hall. They all squeezed in, stood close together, and looked around nervously.
A little bit of starlight poured out of Professor McGonagall's hand, gathered together, and burst into a warm fluorescent light on the ceiling of this small house. The new student immediately felt that the tension in his heart disappeared, and even the cold he had just felt disappeared. Professor McGonagall cleared her throat, and she exclaimed, "Welcome to Hogwarts, boys. The opening dinner is about to begin, but before that, we have a ceremony to go ahead. You will be assigned to different Houses, there are four in total. Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Each house has its own glorious and long history. They have nurtured and nurtured talented wizards."
"When you're at Hogwarts, if you've been disciplined and behaved well, then your house will get bonus points. If not, points will be deducted. At the end of each year, the house with the highest score gets a great honor. - 'Academy Cup', I hope you can all win glory for your own academy."
"The distribution ceremony will start in front of the whole school in a few minutes. I suggest you use this waiting time to dress up beautifully." Her eyes swept across the faces of the freshmen, UU reading www.uukanshu .com paused for a while as they passed Harley, nodding at her.
Harry didn't know what that meant, but she had a big smile.
Professor McGonagall said, "We'll call you when we're ready. Just wait here quietly."
After saying that, she left.
Ron said to Harry a little uneasily: "I heard from my brother that the ceremony will be painful, and there are exams..."
When he said this, his face turned pale.
"The thought of taking the exam in front of so many people makes me..." He stopped talking, and Harry circled around, finding everyone else as nervous as Ron. Hermione was chattering quietly to Neville. Several people behind Harry suddenly screamed, making Ron jump three feet in fright. They turned their heads and saw a dozen or so ghosts coming through the wall from behind.
They chatted, in a tone that was difficult to understand. One of them flew down and looked at each of them carefully. They flew away quickly again, as if rushing to do something.
Professor McGonagall returned shortly after, and she said, "Line up, boys. Now come with me!"
They crossed the hall again, walked through an open door, and came to the Great Hall. Harry had never seen such a glorious place, not even the fancy hotel where he stayed last night. The other senior students were sitting at four long tables, thousands of candles floating in the air above their heads, illuminating the entire hall. The table was covered with gleaming gold plates and goblets. There is another long table on the stage directly in front of the conference, where the teachers are all sitting. Professor McGonagall led the freshmen to the high stage, and asked them to face the seniors, with their backs to the teacher, and stand in line.
