Ever since Calista, the Emporium manager arrived in the Emporium, Corey and Divine had not communicated once on how to escape the inspection of Calista.

The only assurance they both had was they both knew they didn't store the stolen treasures in their inventories.

Although, Divine was confident in successfully perform the heist and escaping alive, he was not foolish to place all his eggs in one basket.

Before entering the Emporium, Divine had asked Corey if he had another method of storing objects asides from his inventory.

Divine did not want to know what the method was, he just wanted assurance from Corey that the stolen treasures could not be found out if somebody as powerful as Calista inspected him.

Corey at that time was not hundred percent certain if his Tri-Pupil Eyes could avoid the inspection of a tier 6 like Calista. He asked Nina, but she gave him no response.

Corey was not disheartened or angry at this since he knew that from the beginning, Nina would not respond to him unless it was something she deemed important or it was something that intrigued her.

Corey eventually gave his response to Divine.

In his mind, the Tri-Pupil Eyes was a racial ability of the Paragons, and although he was a weak demi-paragon, his eyes should not be easily found out unless he exposed it.

After Divine got Corey's reassurance about his Tri-Pupil Eyes, they then planned on how to go about the heist.

The moment Corey and Divine were brought before Calista, Corey did not know what Divine's plan on their survival was. But when he saw Divine not having a worried expression, Corey was not too worried.

That was until Calista revealed that Divine was a renowned thief!

Corey's mind at that time was truly in shock, anger and bafflement when he got the piece of information.

He even had the thought that Divine was actually an overconfident fool that felt like everything would go his way.

He didn't know if Calista would be able to locate the treasures Divine stole, but at that time, he was worried for himself since he knew the consequences of that happening.

Calista and every other person would definitely claim he was an accomplice in the theft of the treasury, and the intrusion of the manager's office.

Though, they wouldn't be wrong.

If Corey was said to be an accomplice in the robbery of the treasury, Corey would have never acquiesced to such accusations even if he was tortured. He would make sure to keep the treasures in his Tri-Pupil Eye no matter what.

He had already set his mind to these in the chance that he got captured because of Divine's foolishness.

That was until he noticed a very brief, and extremely fast movement of Calista's eyes.

In that brief period when he looked at Divine in shock and anger, Calista had glanced at him, and although Corey was not sure if he was imagining it, a thought came to his mind.

It was a thought that was not truly dangerous, but if it didn't work, then Corey was uncertain about their fates.

All Corey had to do was control his emotions properly, and act like he was absolutely shocked about the fact that Divine was a reknowned thief.

Something which truly shocked him.

When Calista saw Corey's shocked expression, she was certain that Corey did not know about Divine's past exploits.

Calista was hundred percent certain Corey's expression was true since his facial expression, heartbeat, blood flow, and a lot of other things proved to be true in Calista's perception.

With Corey not knowing about Divine's reknowned name, the suspicion she previously had against Divine and Corey had lessened by a minimal amount.

Something which she herself did not notice.

It was subtle, and it was this subtle change that occurred in Calista's heart that truly helped Divine and Corey escape Calista's potential wrath.

After Calista checked Divine and Corey's inventory, she had subtly checked the bodies of the duo for a hidden item that had the same function as an inventory.

She found none, and the suspicion in her heart diminished. Though, not entirely.

The reason why she had frowned when she had looked at Corey's inventory was because the quantity of the items in Corey's inventory was low.

So low to the point that he would be considered a pauper.

At first, Calista found this suspicious, but when she remembered that Corey was just a tier 1, and he had just joined Divine's group, she felt it was not too unreasonable to a certain extent.

There was a reason Divine had spoken about the strength of Calista even when he was sure she could hear everything that was being said in the Emporium.

He wanted him and Corey to be the first to leave the Emporium no matter what.

And luckily, his plans had worked out.

He had found the situation around the intrusion into Calista's office strange and suspicious.

He wasn't sure, but he felt like he was being targeted, and he felt that staying in the Emporium while Calista was around would lead to disastrous consequences for him, and Corey.

'I'll check this out thoroughly.'

'They think they can set me up?'

'They'll pay.'

'Whoever they are.'

'They'll pay.'

Divine's eyes glinted with a dangerous light as he walked alongside Corey.

[Behave normally for at least a week.]

[No. Two weeks.]

[Don't lock yourself up in your house.]

[And don't bring out any of the stolen loot during the two weeks.]

[Go out, and perform various activities.]

[Don't be idle, and don't be nervous so that they don't suspect you.]

Corey glanced at Divine, and with a frustrated tone, he spoke:

[I don't have my usual strength.]

If his meridians, and poison infinity crystal was not damaged, he would have no problems with Divine's instructions.

He could not unleash 10% of his normal strength, and that was akin to him being a lamb going to a pack of hungry wolves.

The Underworld was extremely dangerous, and only the gods knew how many times he had been ambushed by other residents in the outer area of the city of sin.

He had set multiple examples with the people that lived around him, and those people knew he was not to be messed with.

So, him going about with his current pitiful strength was akin to suicide.

It was only if he was lucky to not encounter any dangerous situations for two weeks.

But was he going to depend on luck?

Absolutely not!

[You can stay with Rosa for the time being.]

Divine said, and Corey nodded.

Living with Rosa for two weeks could not be that bad.

Right?
