Su Tong sat on the couch in Ning Dong’s room. Her eyes were unfocused as she muttered, “She’s back. She’s finally back.”

All of a sudden, she rose to her feet. “I’m going to speak to her! Didn’t she say she’d never come back? She’s so shameless! How could she go back on her words?”

Ning Dong pulled his mother back and hurriedly closed the door. Then, he said in a low voice, “Mom, what are you doing?”

Su Tong struggled. “I’m going to ask that shameless woman why she came back and why she went back on her promise!”
