The quarrel did not last long.

Of course, in Zhu Yuanzhang's view, it was because they were in the Huagai Palace, surrounded by ministers, and quarreling was ultimately disgraceful, not because they were short of breath in front of the queen.

Another more important reason was that the kings had not yet started to go to the vassal state on a large scale, only the second and third sons.

The fourth and fifth sons were also preparing to go to the vassal state, but now...

Thinking about it, the emperor suddenly became worried. The kings would be out of reach if they left the capital, and it would be difficult to correct their nature.

As a result, they committed crimes, and they could not bear to punish them, but if they were not punished...

Looking up, these words were naturally something that no minister dared to say, and the light curtain not only said it unscrupulously, but he was helpless.

But he had to rely on this light curtain, so that he could avoid the matter of Hu Qing replacing Ming again, which was really unacceptable to him.

【Regarding Zhu Yuanzhang's motive for eliminating the nobles, the earliest story recorded in "Jian Sheng Ye Wen" written by a Ming Dynasty scholar.

It roughly says that Zhu Yuanzhang killed too many people, and then Zhu Biao advised that this killing might hurt the harmony.

So Zhu Yuanzhang found a thorn stick and threw it on the ground for Zhu Biao to pick up, which of course he couldn't pick up.

So Zhu Yuanzhang said earnestly: I kill people to punish the dangers of the world, to remove thorns for you, and then leave you a peaceful country, wouldn't it be beautiful?

Zhu Biao stiffened his neck and said, "There are kings like Yao and Shun above, and people like Yao and Shun below."

This made Zhu Yuanzhang angry, and he immediately swung a chair to let Zhu Biao understand his father's love, that is, "move the couch where he sat and shot him."

Zhu Biao was not stupid, so he ran away directly, but Zhu Yuanzhang was relentless and wanted to chase him and continue to fight, so Zhu Biao could only use a big move-taking out the portrait of his mother in his arms, so that Zhu Yuanzhang "stopped in great grief."

From this record, we can actually see that the motive of Zhu Yuanzhang's murder was clear to everyone in the Ming Dynasty.

However, the credibility of this little story is not high, because the famous "Zhu Yuanzhang murdered Xu Da with roast goose" was spread from this "Jian Sheng Ye Wen".

In addition, it is also recorded in "Jian Sheng Ye Wen" that Zhu Yuanzhang disliked Zhu Biao's "lack of kindness and softness", so one day he secretly had a carriage of corpses brought into the palace, and when Zhu Biao passed by, he directly dumped all the corpses on the ground, which frightened Zhu Biao "incredibly", and then clasped his hands and said "good, good".

This action can only be said to be a pure illness, and the writing method is a bit like the sentence we said before - the emperor swung the golden hoe, and the East Palace Queen made pancakes.

There are many different opinions about Zhu Biao's character in official history and unofficial history, but in the end he was still responsible, either pleading for his brother or for his teacher.

In the Hu Weiyong case in the 13th year of Hongwu, Song Lian's grandson and second son were involved. When their teacher was about to be sentenced to death, Zhu Biao dragged Empress Ma to plead for him, and finally pardoned Song Lian and moved him to Sichuan. However, Song Lian was already very old at that time and died of illness in the 14th year.

Regarding this matter, the "Jian Sheng Ye Wen" was written because Song Lian forgot to send the annual congratulatory message, so he just found a reason to kill Song Lian's whole family, but was dissuaded by the prince and his wife, so he only killed Song Lian's son and grandson as a warning.

This kind of unofficial history cannot be said to be too wild, but it can only be said that the impression left by Zhu Yuanzhang on the people of the Ming Dynasty is indeed inseparable from his love of killing.

As for the more terrifying record of Zhu Yuanzhang and his meritorious officials eating human flesh and scaring Chang Yuchun crazy in "Jian Sheng Ye Wen", it can only be said that it is as wild as Zhu Yuanzhang selling ditches, which is really too outrageous.

One year after Song Lian's death, the Jinyiwei was formally established. When this agency was first established, Zhu Yuanzhang ordered it to investigate the remnants of the Hu case.

Although the Jinyiwei was abolished after the Lanyu case in the 26th year of Hongwu, Zhu Di later re-established it and soon made it an indispensable agency. It was not only active until the demise of the Ming Dynasty, but also played a role in the Southern Ming regime until the Ming Dynasty took its last breath.

The Jinyiwei of the Hongwu Dynasty can be confirmed to be Zhang Ren and Jiang 𤩽.

Among them, Zhang Ren's record can be found in the 25th year of the Ming Taizu Shilu, and Jiang 𤩽 was the last Jinyiwei commander of the Hongwu Dynasty and the person in charge of the Lanyu case.

Among them, the most controversial one is Mao Xiang. The Ming History says that from the 15th year to the 23rd year, Mao Xiang was always the Jinyiwei envoy, until he was thrown out by Zhu after handling the Li Shanchang case, and was killed with the name of the remnant of the Hu party.

But Mao Xiang is clearly mentioned in the records. When Hu Weiyong rebelled in the 13th year, he and Chen Ning reviewed the military and horse registers of the world, and then "ordered the governor Mao Xiang to take the guard Liu Yubao and the fugitive Wei Wenjin as his confidants".

"Heart and confidants" means confidants, and soon, Hu Weiyong was involved in the incident, and all the people involved lost their heads. Mao Xiang was probably not spared, because this name has never appeared in the records since then.

And if we go back further, Mao Xiang's deeds are also recorded very clearly, and there is no situation where he is not recorded.

For example, in the fifth year of Hongwu, when the three-way northern expedition was intended to achieve success in one battle, news of the invasion of Japanese pirates came from the southeast coast, so Zhu ordered the commander of the Yulin Guard Mao Xiang Yuxian and the commander of the Tongzhi Yuan Yi to eliminate the Japanese pirates in the coastal counties.

While the Northern Expedition was advancing, Mao Xiang also sailed out to sea, sweeping thousands of miles to wipe out the Japanese pirates:

"Commander Mao Xiang defeated the Japanese pirates at Xiahu Mountain in Wenzhou, chased them to Shitang Ocean, and captured a Japanese ship... He was rewarded for his merits."

Shitang Ocean is the South China Sea this year. The coastline from Wenzhou alone is a thousand kilometers long. As a meteor in the early Ming Dynasty, Mao Xiang can be said to have fully demonstrated the strong qualities of Zhu Yuanzhang's personal army.

It is no wonder that the Jinyiwei set up by Zhu Yuanzhang's personal army later became a sharp knife. 】

"Mao Xiang."

Zhu Yuanzhang was silent.

I still remember that this man's father was Mao Qi. When he ran away in anger and led 24 people to the south to conquer Dingyuan and vowed to make a name for himself, it was Mao Qi who "helped the county magistrate to surrender" and soon became his personal army. He checked the generals who failed to join the team. In terms of function, it was similar to the Jinyiwei. Later, when Mao Qi died of illness, he cried for him.

Therefore, his son was highly valued from the beginning, starting from the commander of the imperial army, and then became the commander of the imperial guards. In the end...

Zhu Yuanzhang sighed imperceptibly, and then he looked back:

"I didn't expect my sister's portrait to have such an effect."

But at this time, Empress Ma was a little worried:

"Chongba, if I can't..."

But before he finished speaking, the emperor immediately shouted:

"What if I can't? Doctor Dai has said that as long as you follow the prescription, there is an 80% chance of being fine, and it is a 100% chance to live another ten years. At that time, there may be a 99% chance of eradicating the hidden disease."

"Why are you discouraged first?"

The couple was still persuading each other, and the brothers laughed at each other:

"Do the literati in later generations think that we brothers have never seen corpses? Let alone other things, my eldest brother was already fourteen years old when the Ming Dynasty was founded, and he had seen it on the battlefield several times!"

Zhu Biao also shook his head and smiled bitterly, and then he was curious:

"It has been said several times in later generations, what is a ditch?"
