Deep coma, spontaneous respiratory arrest, absent brainstem reflexes. At the same time, it can be determined after all the above three conditions are met, and the cause of the coma is clarified, and the reversible coma of various causes is excluded.

However, it does not mean that the judgment in this regard in China is not as rigorous as that in foreign countries, in fact, if these three requirements are met at the same time, brain death can be determined, and other criteria are relatively redundant.

Medically, brain death is faster than heart death.

Once brain death occurs, it means that all tissues and organs in the body will fail and then die in a very short period of time, this change is completely irreversible, and no person or drug can prevent this from happening. And even when the heartbeat is still there when the brain is dead, it is useless at this point.
