I didn’t have time to write yesterday, so I’ll make up for it today.

First of all, it’s about asking for leave. I’ll take two days off, Thursday → Friday, and I’ll start finishing the next volume on Saturday - the update of the Iron Queen.

I originally wanted to take a day off and start updating tomorrow, but after looking at it today, I found that there is not enough time in one day, and it is stuck on Thursday, so there will be insufficient preparation. The daytime on Friday and Saturday is just right to organize the last volume of information and sort out the necessary things.

So please forgive me for taking two days off.

The other is a summary.

The first point is your own status. It is indeed very bad. I can feel it, and I also know that it is caused by my work. This year, especially during the period after the Spring Festival, the review work of several parties suddenly piled up, and there were too many review materials to prepare, which was really torturous.

Now from the end of March to the beginning of April, the things on my hands have reduced a lot, and I finally feel a little more relaxed.

I hope that I can recover after that. The main thing is not to work overtime too much, and not to be consumed by other things at work, so as not to just think about rest when I get home from work. I will actively make adjustments in this regard.

The second point is about Volume 6, the new world under the heavy rain.

This volume was originally meant to be a transitional use, a transition in all aspects, so when I was writing it, I deliberately avoided the description of high-level surgeons. Of course, I won’t do that in the next volume...

In addition, when introducing some background, in other volumes, because such situations are relatively rare, I was not alert. But in the sixth volume, because it involves a lot of introduction to the background of the world, I have a deep impression - I can indeed write more easily if I only rely on the form of dialogue to introduce the background (with quotation marks, the content is written That's fine), but I also feel that the look and feel will not be good.

In the final volume, we will try to avoid this situation and change the form of dialogue to narration or third-person description, which should be better. But regarding background introduction, there won’t be much in the final volume.

The third point is about the last volume, volume seven, the final volume, part two, The Iron Queen.

Some people lament that the update is definitely not up to standard, and it feels like a stop-and-start thing. As a long-term project, from 2016 to 23 now, if you don’t calculate the time, you really haven’t thought about how many years have passed.

Here I suddenly remembered a sentence written in "Remarks on the Release" - in the early stage of writing a novel, you rely on interest and passion in your heart, but in the later stage, you only rely on responsibility. Looking back at this sentence now, I find that the gap between what others said and what I actually experienced is indeed too big.

Now to rephrase this sentence, it should be - in the early stage of writing a novel, you rely on interest and the passion in your heart, and in the later stage, you still rely on interest and enthusiasm. As for responsibility, there is no responsibility at all. Responsibility can be relieved at any time. It just depends on whether you are willing or not. There is no reliability.

Compared with passive things like responsibility, active interest, enthusiasm and love are indeed more useful. One is forcing yourself to write, and the other is always wanting to write something every day. The difference between the two is completely different.

As I write now, there are times when my enthusiasm dwindles, but the closer I get to the end, the more excited I feel. Perhaps there is a factor of being about to be completed. After all, after several years, it feels like a story has been completely written. No matter whether it is good or bad, it makes people happy for no reason.

As for the content of the last volume "Iron Queen", I won't say much here. Of course, the last volume will also actively fill in all the holes with the greatest efforts.
