Stupid Odin

#160 - Giant Odin

Initially, the central giant chieftain ignored Odin.

This deformed giant, with two arms growing from his left shoulder and only one withered arm on his right, had relatively normal facial features, but his mouth and eyes were crooked, making his gaze even more sinister as he looked mockingly at the timidly retreating Bres.

“Yo! Isn’t this the 【Cowardly Bres】? Did you blow the conch shell early because you’re planning to pay tribute on behalf of your pitiful compatriots ahead of schedule?”

The immense and terrifying giant naturally gave Bres a sense of oppression, and he didn't know how to explain his predicament.

“Odin? You go talk to Elatha.” In his panic, Bres actually pushed Odin forward.

This action left Odin speechless.

How could the Tuatha Dé Danann allow such a coward to be their king?

Odin clenched his fists, striding forward: “There will be no more tribute! The Tuatha Dé Danann have just overthrown Bres's rule. They intend to launch a new war against you!”

“Bres, you're a damn waste! How dare those insignificant Tuatha Dé Danann false gods do this?!” In his rage, the giant named Elatha stirred the surrounding seawater, forming turbid water shockwaves that blasted the surrounding reefs to smithereens.

This scene, as Odin saw it, made the former King of Jotunheim sneer inwardly.

Not only is the power mixed, but the total amount is also small!

With your abilities, you're not even qualified to sit at the same table as the Frost Giants!

Odin barely restrained himself, listening to this chaotic giant cursing the Tuatha Dé Danann gods like a madman in a bunch of giant languages he couldn't understand.

Bres, on the other side, was obviously frightened, not daring to speak, and shrinking back a few steps.

Odin said loudly: “Have you vented enough? The deed is done! If the Fomorian giants do nothing, they will lose a huge tribute land, and it will spread that the Fomorian giants are afraid of the Tuatha Dé Danann!”

When it comes to accurately stepping on landmines, Odin is a professional!

Although he was always scolded by Thanes as a 'stupid brother,' stupidity depends on who you compare him to. Compared to these chaotic giants with their single-track minds, he was as wise as a god of wisdom.

As expected, provoked by him, those chaotic giants immediately roared.

“What do you mean?”

“How dare a mere mortal question the great Fomorians?”

“No one can resist the power of the Fomorians! No one—”

These giants rushed up to tear Odin apart, but at this moment, Bres, at least like someone who had been a king, suddenly raised a glittering bracelet—no, it should be a ring.

The giant Elatha suddenly realized: “Where did you get this ring?”

Bres was a little embarrassed to say: “This was given to me by my mother…”

Elatha laughed loudly: “Hahaha! Although you are a waste, you are still my son! Just say what you want!”

There was no touching father-son reunion; Bres's EQ was so low that onlookers couldn't stand it.

As soon as Bres saw that Elatha had acknowledged him, he said directly: “Father! Lend me troops! I want to destroy that bastard Nuada! Let him taste the price of betrayal!”

This three-armed giant gave his cheap son a soul-searching question: “My foolish son! Why were you kicked off the throne by your subordinates?”

Bres stamped his feet very angrily: “Why is there a why? That group of barbaric gods with no concept of taxation in their minds are just a bunch of stupid maggots! They even said I was just a money grabber! I did it all for the Tuatha Dé Danann, but they betrayed me—”

Elatha shook his head: “Your wisdom is not worthy of leading my people. But as your father, I am still willing to point you to a path—go find Balor of the Evil Eye, another chieftain of the Fomorians! He will be interested in attacking the Tuatha Dé Danann.”

In one day, first betrayed by his subordinates, and then humiliated by his cheap father, Bres had no face to stay any longer, and he turned and left.

Unexpectedly, Austin, whom he once trusted very much, didn't move.

“Austin? Let’s go!” Bres was a little angry.

Odin refused Bres: “No! One tribe participating in the war is not enough. I'll stay and properly persuade Lord Elatha.”

No longer one-eyed, Odin's eyes flashed with strange light.

“Alright!” Bres didn't dawdle; he seemed even more afraid of the Tuatha Dé Danann sending pursuers, and he hurriedly led his men away.

Elatha looked down at Odin with a contemptuous gaze: “Insignificant mortal! Do you think you can persuade me?”

The Fomorian giants looked down on the Tuatha Dé Danann, even unwilling to give them the title of 【Gods】, not considering them to be anyone. This state of mutual dislike could be considered a classic.

Odin said somewhat nonsensically: “The power of Chaos.”

“Hmm?”

“Give me a seed of Chaos, and I will tell you why I can persuade you.”

“Hoo-hoo! Haha! Wahahaha!” Elatha and his subordinates laughed wildly: “This mortal actually says he can withstand the gift of Chaos! You're killing me! Hahaha!”

The giants roared with laughter.

“Aren’t you Dananns self-proclaimed noble and unwilling to accept the power of Chaos?”

“How did an oddball like you come out?”

Elatha stopped his subordinates from laughing. He stretched out a finger: “Alright! It’s rare for a Danann to be so sensible, so I’ll give you a chance.”

A ball of light, like a mud ball, shot out from Elatha's fingertip and entered Odin's chest.

Odin took a deep breath, acknowledging the fusion of this chaotic power with his soul.

For anyone else, this would be a terrifying experience. Most mortals cannot control the power of Chaos, often turning themselves into monsters.

Odin was different.

He was already skilled in using the power of Chaos.

First, his bones made a series of crisp cracking sounds, and then he controlled the power of Chaos, quickly transforming his internal organs. In a few breaths, Odin's chest rapidly expanded, turning himself into a monster with three hearts and four lungs.

Next was the rapid stretching of his muscles and skin.

Finally, there was the complete fusion of his soul with the power of Chaos.

Everything happened in less than a minute.

This mortal named Austin had easily mastered the power of Chaos. This unbelievable thing shocked Elatha into a daze.

A group of Fomorian giants watched as Austin transformed from a small mortal into a burly giant, a head taller than them, fully three people tall.

“Too absurd!” Elatha's voice sounded like a dream.

Even among the Fomorians, not every giant can control the power of Chaos. Often, it will cause certain parts of the body to mutate during formation.

Obviously, this Austin was an absolute anomaly!

Odin stepped forward, pressing a hand on Elatha's shoulder, the scene resembling an adult holding down a child.

“The power of Chaos, is there more?”
