Stupid Odin

#55 - The sea is dry! The God King has fallen!

Vanaheim, a blizzard arrived so suddenly.

The sun in the sky was instantly obscured by dark clouds, and the last ray of sunlight was stripped away from above Vanaheim by a frigid power.

At that moment, the entire Temple of the Sea God, and even the island named Vana Island, was silent. Not to mention mortals, even the Vanir gods stared blankly at the sky.

The ice and snow spanning the sky clearly came from the hand of a true god, and the sudden shriek of the north wind sounded incredibly familiar—the gale was filled with phantasms, each one depicting Odin, the one-eyed god.

His gleeful laughter of revenge blended seamlessly with the arrogant wind.

When the cold light of the ice storm swept across the entire sky, not a single Vanir god failed to react.

They discovered in horror that the threads of law they controlled were losing connection as the moisture in the atmosphere transformed into ice.

That's right!

In the Ginnungagap, even with water, when it transforms into ice, it becomes the domain of another godhood.

The tragic part was that most of the Vanir gods' divine duties were strongly related to the ocean.

To the point where it seemed as if their divine power was frozen into solid snowflakes, wantonly discarded and scattered by the [God of Winter] Odin, who dominated everything in the sky above.

The expressions on their faces were frozen in the last moment of surprise, but their once-fiery hearts turned utterly cold as the sea dried up and winter suddenly arrived.

They cast their last hopeful gaze upon their leader, Njord.

What they received was, of course, even deeper despair.

Njord's bald head reflected the icy color of the Vanaheim world.

He felt a deep sense of despair welling up from the depths of his heart, an extreme powerlessness.

It was too difficult for him!

If it were that idiot Odin, perhaps he would still have the confidence to at least exhaust him to a decent result, allowing the Vanir gods to truly take root in this Ginnungagap.

Against Thanatos, he was helpless.

Every moment, every minute, every second after Thanatos rescued his subordinates, his heart was filled with tension, exhaustion, and unease.

It was as if a noose called despair was around his neck, and he could only rely on the last bit of foothold to support his body, lest his weight strangle him to death.

After the sea dried up, the heart he had been holding finally died.

Regret pierced every pore of his body like ten thousand steel needles.

To be honest, when Thanatos suggested he be the third in command, he was slightly tempted.

His reason told him that this might be a good outcome.

His damned divine king arrogance made his emotions refuse to compromise.

In fact, the moment he made his decision, he began to regret it.

Thanatos's great power made his fear grow day by day, and he could only mechanically tell his subordinates, "That kid Thanatos is just bragging."

Bragging?

Was he bragging about the primal cow Audhumla?

Njord finally panicked: "Frey! Frey! Quickly contact your sister! Have her connect with His Majesty the God-King—our Vanir gods are willing to merge with the Aesir!"

Frey, holding a third-rate divine sword, opened and closed his mouth blankly: "Father, it seems we are too late."

Just a minute ago, Thanatos on the parade platform said: "Njord's fate will be decided by Odin, and the rest of the Vanir gods, except for Frey, who refuse to surrender—kill!"

When several [Swords of the Nine Realms] were thrown in front of his sons, the swaying blades aroused their greatest fanaticism.

The Aesir army transformed into an invincible and terrifying torrent, cascading down the Rainbow Bridge.

This could hardly be called a war, it was more like a massacre!

The tidal waves that had once troubled the Aesir army were long gone.

The Temple of the Sea God, with nine-tenths of its divine power gone, wailed under the successive bombardments of several [Swords of the Nine Realms].

As the weak divine temple shield was easily pierced like a soap bubble, this great hall, which was originally intended to be the foundation of the Vanir gods, immediately became a vulnerable mortal thing.

The Vanir gods' pleas for mercy quickly turned into wails.

What if they had more替身?

In the face of absolute strength, having multiple lives became a torment. Because the Aesir gods and giants would stop at nothing to finish them off, cruelly chopping their bodies into pieces to prove that they were truly dead and fallen.

Njord retreated with a gloomy face, taking one last look at his goddess queen and daughters, ultimately failing to bring himself to kill his wife and daughters first.

Just as he made up his mind to turn around and run, leave the Ginnungagap, even if it meant fleeing into the chaotic space, a cold light pierced through the sky, tore through space, and accurately struck his back, piercing through his chest on the spot.

"Ah—" Without turning his head, he knew it was Odin who did it.

He tried to transform into countless water element clones, but with his divine power greatly reduced, there were only a pitiful eighteen clones.

In the next instant, [Gungnir] flew back, as nimble as an embroidery needle weaving through fabric.

All the clones were destroyed!

Njord screamed miserably, falling to the ground, writhing on the ground in pain and embarrassment, unable to move his divine body even half a meter.

He was nailed to the ground by the divine spear!

Several loyal divine servants bravely rushed forward, trying to stop the terrifying one-eyed Aesir god opposite them.

Several cold lights flashed, and Odin casually ended the lives of those Vanir divine servants with the [Sword of Jötunheim].

"Old tortoise, are you finally willing to come out of your tortoise shell?" Odin sneered.

Njord spat out blood, extending his right hand: "No! Odin, you can't kill me. I have communicated with the world's will, it needs me. And I can be your servant!"

"Despicable fellows don't deserve to live." The young Aesir god sneered cruelly. He had fantasized for more than one night about defeating Njord in a fair duel, obtaining the Vanir tribe as his new tribe, and no longer having to look at his elder brother's face. But all his grand ambitions were shattered by this despicable, greedy, insidious, and arrogant Vanir leader.

His comrades' contempt for him, the giants' disdain for him, all turned into Odin's anger.

Originally, Odin was famous for not being moral, let alone now that he had the righteousness on his side.

He didn't even want to use his elder brother's sword for the final execution, and retracted the [Sword of Jötunheim].

After saying a word, Odin stepped on Njord's shoulder, pulled out [Gungnir], and then aimed the spear at the top of his head, piercing through the Vanir God-King's skull.

At this moment, the already dry seabed shook violently.

The entire Ginnungagap let out a silent sigh.

Thanatos stood on the western cliffs of Asgard, calmly watching the two god-king level old阴神s fight like dogs from beginning to end.

After listening to the world's will's lament, Thanatos said silently in his heart: My foolish brother! You have to bear the karma of killing Njord with your own hands.
