Stupid Odin
#8 - Mysterious Giant's Blood
Whether it was the rest of the Aesir or the giants who were still watching, they all thought that Ymir, the ancestor of the frost giants, was already dead.
In fact, this was an illusion.
Thors was very clear about his position. Perhaps he could break through Ymir's thick skin and flesh defense, but as for killing him, it was not enough.
The biggest characteristic of the giant race is their resilience.
If it were a human, this would be a fatal wound. But on Ymir, it was just a 'minor fatal wound'.
Clearly, a large section of his rotten intestines was flowing out of the frost giant ancestor's opened abdomen. At the same time, the giant's powerful self-healing ability was also playing a role.
Small amounts of granulation were growing on the edge of his abdomen, trying to pull the wound together and restore his body to its original state.
"Vili, shrink! Run away quickly!" Thors, having also landed a successful blow, immediately shrank his body and fled far away, not forgetting to call his silly third brother to run.
Fortunately, Ymir was in pain and focused all his attention on Thors, otherwise, if he had caught Vili, Thors really wouldn't know whether to save him or not.
"Insect—" Ymir roared vaguely. Injured and in a state of rage, he waved his hand and blew away a hill that occupied at least a basketball court.
The rocks crashed to the ground, and thousands of tons of gravel and mud burst open, the chaotic stone rain indiscriminately attacking every living creature on this plain, shaking this vast land, and triggering a man-made earthquake.
What appeared?!
Following a vague sense, Ymir squatted halfway on the ground and slapped a frost humanoid figure with incomparable ferocity.
"Ah!"
This ancestor of the frost giants was hit again. When he withdrew his palm in pain, he realized that an incredibly sharp and thick stone thorn had pierced his thick palm.
He never expected that this ice man, similar to the humanoid god who had just hurt him, was actually an empty shell, hiding a terrifyingly hard stone thorn inside. Normally, he could crush a hundred such stone thorns with a casual pinch. Under the fierce blow, it was as if he had pierced his own palm with one hand.
This was not the end. Before he could react, a thunderous sound rang out again from his feet.
This time, a sharp tree trunk, surrounded by terrifying electric light, pierced his left calf painfully.
"Who? Insect! Come out! Come out—" Ymir furiously struck back, but hit nothing again. Those three damned Aesir gods had once again disappeared from his sight in the wind and snow.
Ymir's destructive power was undoubtedly shocking.
However, if he couldn't hit the enemy, everything was in vain, a meaningless waste of his strength and life.
"Vili, go to that mountain and throw a large rock at Ymir, then run there immediately!" Thors found his silly third brother again.
"What about me?" Odin popped out from the side and asked.
"You cover Vili. Then repeat the process."
"Okay!" Odin suddenly thought, "What about you, big brother?"
"I'm going to prepare a big move, and I need you to buy me some time." Thors said firmly, "Once I'm ready, Ymir is doomed. Come on! We can definitely exhaust Ymir to death!"
"Got it!" Although Odin always had the idea of competing with his big brother, he didn't dare to play tricks at this time. He dragged his silly third brother away.
In less than two minutes, on a two-hundred-meter-high mountain in the distance, Vili did his best to throw a rock that five people could hug at Ymir, who was a kilometer away.
This rock was like a meteorite falling from the sky, fiercely separating the chaotic cold wind in the sky, and throwing it towards Ymir from afar.
This stone was naturally discovered by Ymir. He waved the temporary club made of a 50-meter-long fir tree stripped of its branches, and accurately hit the hard granite.
In a burst of sparks, the large rock, enough to smash an ordinary giant to death, flew to an unknown place.
Ymir strode forward, with a terrifying stride of fifty meters in one step, rushing towards Vili.
Fortunately, Odin's sneak attack once again successfully interfered with Ymir, attracting his attention.
Odin turned and ran.
It seemed that this was a terrible sneak attack by the Aesir, returning without success, but only Thors clearly knew what he wanted to do.
He stepped into a stinky, scarlet blood pool.
Ymir's blood, flowing from his injuries, perhaps he himself didn't feel anything. But the blow that injured his abdomen, just the blood he shed easily filled a large snow pit.
The appearance of such a blood pool on the white earth gave a sense of falling into the deepest part of the icy hell.
Clearly remembering the Thors described in the epic [Edda], he jumped into the blood pool without hesitation.
Soaking in, Thors clearly felt that the blood in this pool turned into countless scarlet beams that instantly pierced his divine body.
The bearskin armor and rough fiber clothes on his body completely burst, and even the powerful ice shield he had applied to himself shattered inch by inch in front of this most primitive and violent bloody power.
If it were another person, it would be inevitable to fall into panic at this time.
Thors accepted all this calmly.
The power contained in the blood pool is poison to races other than frost giants, and even the strong Aesir cannot escape.
He is an exception!
Father's essence and mother's blood!
In addition to inheriting the divine power of the Aesir, he also inherited the blood of his mother, the giantess Bestla.
He is at least half a frost giant!
This allowed him to let the blood of the frost giant ancestor Ymir rush into his divine body, transforming it in an earth-shattering way.
Bones were crushed, internal organs were mashed... Inside Thors's skin, the violent frost giant power rushed left and right, wantonly destroying, turning him into a bloody man in an instant.
But no matter how exaggerated and terrifying the giant's power was, he accepted this power, without dodging or avoiding, and even had the capacity to screen the power entering his body, taking its essence and discarding its dross.
He was like a suffering soul dragged into hell in myths and legends, endlessly enduring the cycle of abuse and murder, accepting the transformation of his bloodline again and again.
The only thing he did was to protect his heart with his divine thoughts, to avoid his divine body from completely transforming into a frost giant.
The bones all over his body burst out with a crackling sound like fried beans, and his internal organs were rapidly reconstructed and became more resilient than his original divine body, not to mention his current skin and muscles.
Thors felt that a long time had passed, but in reality, the whole process took less than three minutes.
When he strode out of the pond, if there were other people to see, they would be surprised to find that the originally stinky blood pool had suddenly turned into a cold pond full of ice water.
Apart from a small amount of Ymir's internal organ fragments, no other traces of Ymir could be found in this pool.
He raised his head, and clusters of thoroughly purified giant blood, like snow water, slid down from the top of his head, but because the blood had been completely absorbed by him, it didn't look scary at all.
Thors was smiling, his white teeth flashing with excitement.
"Not enough, such great ancestral giant blood... it's still not enough!"
