Super Detective in the Fictional World
Chapter 462: Truth, answer, trap
Chris is still following him closely, Bobby is behind them, Nancy and Quentin have been looking for this place.
They were more eager to figure out what Freddie wanted to do than Kris, who had been saved twice by Luke.
Quentin picked up an item from a shabby table and murmured, "Yes, this must be his place."
Quentin was holding a finger knife, part of a claw-like weapon in Freddy's hand.
Nancy glanced for a moment before staring at a painting: "I ... think there's something behind this."
Luke noticed this early, and nodded forward, "Let me do it."
Hanging his camping lamp on the wall, he reached out and tore off some graffiti children's drawings, exposing a small door below.
With both hands lightly, he took the door down, moved it to the side, squatted down, and stunned, and found that there was a small hidden room inside.
He took off the camping lamp on the wall and put it in this small hidden room: "Do you want to go in and see?"
Nancy and Quentin nodded together. Kris didn't say a word, just looked at Luke.
Moments later, Bobby was left in the outside room, and Luke went into the small room.
This room is much smaller than the outside. It is a space re-formed by adding two walls to the corner of the original room.
There was only a single bed with a pile of grey bedding on it, and other furniture was gone.
Only the surrounding walls were strewn with poor patterns of various paint graffiti.
Over time, these paints have turned gray and black, and they are not cute at all, and it is scary to look at them carefully.
Nancy watched the patterns, reached out and touched them, and murmured, "These seem to be ... when I was a kid."
Luke didn't care much, looked around, picked up a dusty black paper box from the bedside, and opened it, showing a small old album inside.
He opened the album and found some old plastic photos.
He just turned two pages, speeded up, and swept through the photos above.
After a few seconds, he closed the album and frowned.
Quentin noticed his expression and couldn't help asking: "What's inside?"
Both Chris and Nancy looked at Luke's album.
Luke shook his head without answering the question directly.
He glanced at Nancy and then at Chris: "This, maybe, is what he wants you to remember."
The two girls took a subconscious step, and Nancy couldn't help asking, "What is it?"
Luke said for a moment: "The answer you want, what happened in this kindergarten that year."
Nancy stepped forward again and stretched out her hand: "Can you show me?"
Luke frowned for a moment, looking at Chris: "I probably understand why he wants you to come here, but this thing is a trap left by him. So, now I confirm again, do you really want to watch? "
Nancy hesitated and nodded. "I want to see."
Kris looked at Luke's expression and suddenly shook her head. "I don't watch."
Luke said, "Well, Nancy, wait a minute."
Having said that he quickly pulled out most of the photos in the album, he threw the album to Nancy.
Then he took out the lighter, walked to the corner, lit all the dozen or so photos in his hand, and watched them turn into a pool of ashes.
When doing this, Luke used his body to cover the eyes of other people and not let them see the contents of the photo.
Over there, Nancy looked at the photos in her hands and turned red, and then quickly turned pale: "No, it won't."
Quentin moved his body at this moment, and wanted to walk up to see the photos.
Luke flickered to his side and held his shoulders together: "That's what belongs to her."
Quentin was dumb.
He just thought that he couldn't do it in the past, and the power from his shoulder made him unable to move forward at all.
Looking at Nancy's tears bursting out, Luke felt no guilt.
Based on the curiosity shown by Quentin and Nancy, if he burned all these photos directly, he might be suspicious of them.
Fortunately, Kris has a high degree of trust in him and is not so curious.
Luke walked over and handed out the lighter in his hand: "You should need this."
Nancy looked at the lighter blankly for a moment before returning to her senses. After grabbing the lighter, she started to light.
However, her hands were shaking violently and she was very weak, and she did not light it for several consecutive times.
Luke didn't help, but turned around and blocked the sight of the other two.
After a while, the scent of burning photos came from the tip of his nose, and Nancy could not help sobbing in his ears.
After a while, he moved away and walked to Kris.
Nancy? She had Quentin to comfort, and the two obviously had a bit of meaning, and didn't need him to step in.
Noticing the suspicion in Kris's eyes, he whispered: "Since there are plans to set aside the past, then don't tangle, not all memories are good."
Chris watched Nancy crying so terribly there that she was inexplicably relieved.
She had a hunch that if she chose to see those photos, she would be as unbearable as Nancy.
Now, she has a rough guess about those photos, but without seeing it herself, she would not receive such a huge shock.
People are sometimes very good at covering ears.
After a while, Nancy finally calmed down.
Luke said, "Okay, Nancy. I know you're upset, but we should solve the root cause of the problem, right?"
Nancy looked up, stared at him for a moment, and slowly nodded.
Quentin couldn't help asking: "How to solve him?"
Luke looked at the two of them: "You haven't slept well for a long time?"
They smiled and nodded bitterly.
Luke: "Now go to bed and lie down."
They looked at the dirty and broken bed, twisting their bodies a little uncomfortably.
Luke had already walked past ~ www.wuxiaspot.com ~, dragged the single bed out, and wrapped the broken bedding and sheets carefully and slowly into a ball, and threw it to the corner.
"That should be fine." He nodded contentedly as he looked at the wooden single bed.
Nancy and Quentin were relieved.
Although the boards are hard, they are at least ashless.
At this moment, Luke continued to say, "Kriss, Nancy, come and lie down."
As he talked, he dragged a wooden bench from the side, tried the firmness, and sat on the bedside: "Head on this side."
Quentin's face was aggressive, and he couldn't help asking: "What about me?"
The two women could not help but glance at him, and then looked at the single bed.
Luke had just sat down on the stool at the bedside. Hearing the problem, he looked subconsciously ... at the floor under his feet.
