Super technology leader
#112 - The same civilized lights
From his initial arrival on Planet Kan, Tang Chuan had spent over two years on and off. During this time, he had been diligently studying and working steadily, remaining grounded.
Seriously, his feet had never left the ground; he was as stable as could be.
Logically, someone like Tang Chuan, a sci-fi enthusiast with a strong yearning for the stars, wouldn't pass up the chance to explore space in a place like Planet Kan, known for its strong aerospace atmosphere and advanced technology.
Even if the space around Planet Kan wasn't the same as Earth's, it would still be worth visiting.
However, he hadn't just not been to space; he hadn't even been high up in the sky. The tallest place he'd been to was probably the vertical assembly building for the spacecraft.
And that was only because the assembly building was connected to the ground.
The reason he was afraid to go up was ultimately due to being intimidated by the success rate of the little green men's flight equipment.
The inexplicably high failure rate of the little green men's spacecraft always kept him grounded. He didn't have their superhuman resilience, and if something happened and he died here, he would die regretting it.
Well, he wouldn't even get to regret it; he'd already be dead.
But now things were different. With his increasingly in-depth understanding of the little green men, he realized that accidents could be avoided.
He conducted relevant experiments and formulated some mandatory regulations for them. He was confident that his thinking was correct.
The failure rate of the little green men was decreasing.
Of course, during the experiments, the failure rate was still several times higher than similar projects on Earth, because the little green men were too reckless.
But once mass production standards were reached, the failure rate would drop sharply, becoming even higher than the success rate on Earth.
This was understandable, perhaps because the little green men had triggered enough failure conditions during the research and development process, essentially clearing a minefield.
Relying on their strong bodies, they triggered all the landmines. "Bang, bang, bang," all the mines exploded, naturally leaving no minefield behind, and those who followed could walk straight through.
There was no danger at all.
Unless they tripped over their own feet and fell on flat ground.
Well, that had to be prevented. Half of the equipment the little green men had destroyed was due to this problem.
They were good at falling on flat ground.
Fortunately, things had improved a lot after implementing strict inspection rules.
And now, he finally dared to ride a spacecraft made by the little green men into the sky.
The little green men engineers were inspecting in the hangar, while Tang Chuan was undergoing brief training.
He was different from ordinary space tourists. According to his design, space tourists wouldn't need any training when using the shuttle. They would just need to have their blood pressure checked and provide their medical history to determine if they were fit to travel.
Then, they would spend the time it takes to watch a movie watching an introductory video with demonstrations of various precautions.
After watching that and resting well for half a day, taking a bathroom break before departure would basically be all they needed to do.
He couldn't do that. This was Planet Kan, he had to take self-protection measures and learn relevant self-rescue methods.
Even the powered spacesuit he was going to wear had to be modified.
If the shuttle made it into space orbit, there wouldn't be any problems. Even if the shuttle exploded, he could float for a long time, giving others enough time to rescue him.
But if something went wrong within the atmosphere, it would be difficult.
Once he was thrown out, Planet Kan's gravity would cause him to fall rapidly, so the little green men had to add a large parachute to ensure he could land safely.
The inspection process was completed quickly, because that's how the shuttle was designed. After returning, it only needed a simple inspection and maintenance, then refueling to take off again.
This "simple" corresponded to 24 hours.
This time seemed long, but compared to other spacecraft on Earth, it was ridiculously short.
However, this was, after all, his first time using Planet Kan's spacecraft to fly into Planet Kan's space orbit, which was very memorable, or directly saying he was afraid of death...that's okay too.
He was a little uneasy about the little green men's inspection efficiency, so he had to check it himself again.
Everything was for safety.
This flurry of activity, plus the fact that he had to learn relevant knowledge and even review some of the astronaut training, dragged out the time.
It didn't matter if it took a long time. Now that he had decided to experience Planet Kan's space first, he would definitely go.
Several days on Earth, or a month on Planet Kan, later, he was finally ready.
Wearing the powered armor, sitting properly in the driver's seat, Werner sat next to him. In the cockpit in front, two of the most experienced astronauts sat in the driver's seats, monitoring various data.
He was riding the "03" mass-produced shuttle, next to the "02" experimental machine. The takeoff weight was nearly 100 tons, the length was 25 meters, and the wingspan was 20 meters, which was basically small among spacecraft.
The command center confirmed that all the data was fine, and then asked Tang Chuan.
Anyway, everything was ready, so he calmly said, "Ready for takeoff."
The command center received the order and then notified the pilots of the two aircraft: "Ready for takeoff, 03 takes off first, 02 delays by one minute."
“Understood!” The two main drivers said at the same time.
“The program starts, thrust two six!” The main driver said to the co-pilot.
“Understood! Thrust two six!”
The co-pilot answered, and then clicked two buttons, “One or two engines have been started!”
Hearing this sentence, the main driver pushed the throttle forward, and the push rod was stuck in the second grid.
After they finished these actions, the two in the center of the six engines lined up at the rear of the aircraft immediately ejected hot and fierce flames, pushing the aircraft to run on the long runway.
At this time, Tang Chuan had already felt the thrust, because he was pressed on the seat.
Fortunately, it was not uncomfortable.
After the aircraft taxied over one-third of the distance on the runway, the main driver said again: "Thrust four six!"
“Understood! Thrust four six! Three or four engines start!”
The co-pilot turned on two more buttons, and the main driver pushed the throttle lever forward two more squares.
Tang Chuan in the seat felt the thrust increase again, because two more engines were turned on at the rear of the aircraft.
“This kind of incremental thrust is okay, Werner, ordinary people can bear it.” Tang Chuan leaned back in his seat and said.
“Yes, BOSS, and the thrust is very stable.”
Tang Chuan nodded slightly and found that he could move, not very hard, indicating that the thrust was not...huge.
But just move a little, the aircraft is accelerating, it is best not to move around.
With twice the thrust, coupled with the lift of the wings, the aircraft gradually left the runway and flew up.
The same is true for the aircraft behind, which takes off behind the lead aircraft.
This is not over yet, only two jet planes and four helicopters also took off one after another. If an accident occurs in the atmosphere, they will be the search and rescue team.
The phased opening of the shuttle engine makes the fuel consumption faster and faster, but at least it flies up. After adjusting to a fixed ascent angle, wait until the scheduled height.
Tang Chuan could see all this through the screen in front of him. As the aircraft flew higher and higher and more and more to the east, he gradually saw the night, and he could see more and more night lights.
That is the symbol of Kanxing civilization. The place with more lights means that there are more Kanxing people, and it is also the first time he has seen this scene.
Just looking at the night lights from the air, Kanxing is no different from the earth.
This is also a civilization.
