Swallowed Star: Copy God

#60 - Purpose (Subscribe!)

With the plan proceeding smoothly, Ye Yun breathed a sigh of relief. The loss of two silver stream guards and a dozen metal bombs was a small price to pay for eliminating two cosmic-level powerhouses, a feat that others could only dream of.

Hu Guyu and Hu Fuyu, as Arong called them, were arguably the two most talented individuals of their generation on Planet Huya. They had broken through to the cosmic level with the support of the entire clan, but after becoming slaves, there was no chance of rescuing them unless their master relinquished control.

Moreover, due to the biochips implanted in them, they couldn't resist their master's commands. Eliminating them was necessary to proceed with the next step of the plan.

"Let's go!"

With Ye Yun's command, he led Arong and Ahu into the steel fortress through an opening.

Once inside, Ye Yun seemed intimately familiar with the fortress. Without hesitation or exploration, he accurately located the positions of the garrison personnel and directed Arong and Ahu to begin the slaughter. Within half an hour, no other personnel remained alive within the entire steel fortress.

Although the steel fortress was enormous, most of its area was used for the temporary placement of slaves. Therefore, aside from some garrison staff, the fortress was mostly empty. Sweeping through the entire fortress didn't take Ye Yun much effort.

Before attacking the two cosmic-level powerhouses of the Huya clan, Ye Yun had scanned the area to understand the general layout and strength of Planet Huya's defenses. This allowed him to lead Arong and Ahu to rampage through the steel fortress. Apart from the two cosmic-level powerhouses, none of the remaining defense personnel were a match for Arong and Ahu. It was a relaxed and enjoyable experience.

"Based on experience, the slave traders behind this will react within a day at most. When they arrive on Planet Huya, it won't just be a few simple cosmic-level powerhouses. We need to act quickly. Ahu, you stay in this fortress and transmit false information to their superiors, delaying them as much as possible. Arong, we're going to Planet Huya!"

"Yes!"

Ye Yun and Arong boarded a spacecraft and sped towards Planet Huya below, quickly piercing through its atmosphere and entering its upper reaches.

Arong stood beside Ye Yun, pointing in a direction, and said,

"Planet Huya has two continents. On each continent, there is a large tribal alliance. I was born in the Qiushi Tribe on the Eastern Continent. I don't know what the situation is like there now."

Following Arong's guidance, the spacecraft quietly hovered above a large tribe before long, without attracting any attention.

The gravity on Planet Huya was slightly stronger than on Earth. Ye Yun could barely fly, and he flew towards the tribe below with Arong.

The Qiushi Tribe, though called a tribe, was actually an extremely large aggregation of clans. Its technological level wasn't bad. Apart from not being able to connect with the universe, its other developmental conditions far exceeded the current level of Earth. The slave traders hadn't completely restricted development, but rather maintained Planet Huya's level at its developmental peak.

Along a wide river, densely packed buildings were distributed. Arong led Ye Yun all the way towards the most central area of the buildings, without stopping along the way.

According to Arong, the Qiushi Tribe originally had a population of over a hundred million, but in a recent harvest, as many as twenty million clansmen were captured, all of whom were the most powerful individuals. The current Qiushi Tribe is mainly composed of young children and elderly people with weak strength. There isn't a single star-level existence to be seen.

In the very center of the Qiushi Tribe, there was a special building. Compared to the surrounding buildings, it occupied a small area and was very low. The simple gray stone walls formed a very stark contrast with the surrounding modern buildings.

Arong and Ye Yun landed in front of the building's gate, which was slightly ajar. Ye Yun could feel Arong's footsteps trembling beside him. Following Arong, the two slowly stepped into the house.

Without deliberately concealing their footsteps, the sound echoed within the empty building. Ye Yun immediately saw the layout of the room. Within a space of less than twenty square meters, there was a desk placed at the very back. At the center of the desk was a human-shaped statue holding a long knife and slashing towards the sky.

The statue wasn't tall, about thirty centimeters in height, but its overall aura was quite extraordinary. Although the human figure was small, its explosive muscles were exposed, and coupled with the sky-splitting action, it was filled with a strong sense of pressure.

In the center of the room, there was a cushion. A hunched old man sat on the cushion, with a wooden cane lying on the ground beside his right hand, facing away from the door and facing the statue.

"Who's here?" The old man heard the sound of footsteps but didn't turn his head, asking in a low and hoarse voice.

"Chieftain, it's me. I'm back!"

Arong took a step forward, knelt heavily on the ground, then raised his hands and kowtowed loudly.

The old man suddenly turned around, revealing an old face covered with wrinkles. Sparse hair was scattered, revealing a shiny forehead. He got up and quickly walked to Arong, his low voice carrying a hint of hoarseness, and his tone was much higher,

"Hu Yu, is that you!? Weren't you captured?"

Arong raised his head, looking at the old man's increasingly aged face, tears streaming down his eyes.

"It's the master, the master brought me back! I thought I would never see you again, Chieftain. Are you all okay?"

The Qiushi Tribe's chieftain, the old man, then noticed Ye Yun at the doorway. He could clearly sense Ye Yun's strength, which was only at the second level of the planetary level. He immediately realized that Ye Yun must have a strong background and strength. He solemnly bowed to Ye Yun and said in a deep voice,

"Thank you, sir! Thank you, sir!"

Ye Yun looked at the old man, gently waved his hand, and said softly,

"There's no need to thank me! I'm not here to save you either! Arong won't stay here either. I only have one purpose in coming here, and I hope you can tell me the truth!"

The old man was stunned for a moment, then glanced at Arong. He suddenly thought of something, and his turbid eyes became a little clearer. He changed his previous attitude and angrily rebuked Arong, his whole body trembling,

"Hu Yu!! How could you tell an outsider! This is the hope of our entire clan! You traitor, scum! How could you do this!!"

Arong had already gotten up at this time and came to Ye Yun's side. He lowered his head and didn't say anything. Although he had his own memories and emotions, all emotions had to be placed behind respecting Ye Yun. After becoming Ye Yun's slave, he was no longer the original Hu Yu.

There was no expression on Ye Yun's face either. His voice was still soft and calm,

"Chieftain, you don't seem to be clear about the current situation? Do you think that with the strength and state of the Huya clan, you can preserve that treasure? Now that I'm here, I won't return empty-handed. For Arong's sake, I'll give you ten minutes to consider how to choose. Think carefully before deciding!"

Upon hearing Ye Yun's words, there was no longer a trace of luck on the chieftain's face. He sat down on the cushion somewhat dejectedly, picked up the cane with his right hand, and spoke in a low voice, his words full of sorrow and loneliness,

"I knew it was impossible, I knew the hope was slim! But it was still a hope! If our Huya clan could produce a domain lord-level powerhouse and join the Black Dragon Mountain Empire or other forces, our Huya clan would be able to obtain protection and at least have a branch of clansmen break free from slavery and truly develop in the universe!

Ye Yun said softly,

"There's no hope! Your development is all under someone else's watch. There hasn't been any sign of it yet, but once there's a cosmic-level fluctuation, it will be detected immediately. Even if you have that treasure, there's no chance of cultivating a domain lord-level powerhouse. No one will give you that opportunity!"

Ye Yun wasn't without sympathy for the situation of the Huya clan. He sighed softly, then said,

"I'm taking the risk to come here today, and I can't return empty-handed. As long as you hand over that treasure to me, I can give you an opportunity to choose two thousand Huya clansmen, and I'll take them away from here!

Didn't you want a hope? I'll give you this hope. I'll try my best to nurture them. Perhaps the savior of the Huya clan in the future will come from among them!"

The old man's eyes lit up again. He looked at Arong beside Ye Yun and knew in his heart that Ye Yun had no need to deceive him. With Arong's strength, it wouldn't be difficult to sweep through the entire Qiushi Tribe. At that point, that treasure would still not escape the hands of Arong, who knew the truth.

And Ye Yun's last sentence deeply struck the old man's heart. Two thousand people seemed like a small number, but if they could have a relatively stable development environment, the future would be unpredictable. Without the restrictions of external conditions, the talent of the Huya clansmen would have a chance to give birth to a domain lord-level existence!

The small room was quiet for a while. After a while, the old man regained his composure. He laughed self-deprecatingly and said in a low voice,

"I became the chieftain because of my low strength. So many years have passed, and I've seen batches of excellent children being captured and sold, one after another. Only I've stayed here all the time. How I wish I could slaughter all those hateful demons! Now I understand, the future of the Huya clan is really not here with us. Perhaps you are the legendary savior of our Huya clan!"
