Scarlet Mansion, Ocien.

Present Time…

Max and Naze sat on the couch with Erina along them. They were having breakfast in the morning, but the topic of discussion was not a simple one.

Erina's words had really shocked Max. He wasn't expecting things to turn around like this all of a sudden. Another Ancient Family popping out all of a sudden, was definitely shocking.

And, then his own relation which Erina had told him about. The Starfall Family, and everything, Max really didn't know how to react to all of it.

"Even though my father and others had trouble trusting in you, I don't. I know Wilson won't make a mistake in judging someone's character. He isn't like me," Erina said with a sad sigh.

"Not to mention, just like everyone in the family suspects the Storm, you do it too. There is no reason for them to be doubting you. We are on the same side." Erina further added, "Should I talk about it with my father? You should probably get in contact with him."

"If I initiate contact from my side, it might only make it more difficult." Max shook his head. It was better to let them be the one to initiate contact. "And, it will be better if you don't bring this matter up with your father as well. If they feel that you have been influenced or under control. It would stem more trouble. After all, you kind of went against them and told us about them."

Erina nodded in understanding.

"But, that means that the meeting with the former Lady of the House…" Naze spoked as he looked at Max.

"Yeah, we won't be able to have a meeting. But, it's not that important now that we know that the Scarlet Lord is aware of everything and is probably doing it against his will with no other choice. Besides, Erina should be able to slowly gather more information now that she has been taken back to the Crimson Family."

"Yeah, Aunt Kel also told me about lifting some kind of restrictions so that I can properly train my powers. She also told me that I will soon be having a teacher. The same person that you have been talking about." Erina looked at Max with an odd look on her face.

Max's face changed, but a second later it returned to normal as he shook his head, "I see. Obviously, the old man should have been aware of it. He has been in this place for so long, and even established his family alongside the Scarlet's. There was no way he didn't know about it."

"He really did fool everyone," Naze chimed in.

As they were talking, a servant knocked on the door.

"Knock!"

"Knock!"

Erina turned her head, and saw that it was her father's personal butler and from what she had heard, he was a Crimson too. She had known this person since her childhood, as he was always present there by her father's side.

"Is there anything?" Erina asked him.

"The Lady has called for Young Miss," He said with a calm look on his face, and then glance at Max, "She has also requested your presence, Sir."

Max was a bit taken back. Normally, she would have just used the normal method of calling through the blood connection. But, it seemed that it was different today.

Well, he would be finding it out soon.

Max and Erina followed the butler as he led them to the hall down below, where some guests were waiting for them.

Talia was also present there. She was having conversations with the two guests when Max and Erina finally arrived.

One of the two people surprisingly turned out to be someone whom Max was very familiar with.

It was Synthia.

Initially, she sat there with a dead looking face with not much to express. But, when her gaze caught Max, she was really surprised. After all, she didn't know Max was here, so she definitely wasn't expecting to meet him.

Max on the other hand was more interested in the guy sitting left to Synthia.

The guy had green hair, and stood almost the same as Max. His face looked delicate, and he had a pleasing smile on his face. Certainly one which would make ladies go crazy. At least those who were only fans of exterior looks.

But, Max already was more than aware of this gentle and elegant looking young master's truth. He was one rude ass guy. And, if he tried to do a bit more of an in depth research, he would probably find even more about the acts of this piece of tr*sh. At least that was what he had heard from both Synthia and Naze.

"Come here, Erina. Meet this person, he is Preston Storm." Talia beckoned Erina with a smile as she introduced the young man.

Preston and Synthia both stood up as well.

"Hello, I am Preston Storm." The guy acted like a gentleman, and gave his hand out.

Erina looked at the guy and shook his hand with a nod as she introduced herself to both Preston and Synthia.

"And, I am sure you are already acquainted." Talia pointed at Max with a smile.

"Yes, we sure have known each other for a while now." Synthia nodded at Talia, and then introduced Max to Preston.

"Oh… I have been hearing a lot about you from people around. You have got yourself quite a reputation." Preston smiled at Max, but Synthia's brows seemed to compress a little on it. She knew very well about this guy, and could understand what he meant when he acted like this.

"I never thought that I would get to meet you here, of all the places." He further added.

Even though there was a smile on his face, smart people could understand that he was inquiring why Max was here.

"We have been hosting his stay here. He is a good friend's son, after all." Talia was the one to reply.

"I see…" Preston nodded as he gave Max a look, and Max definitely saw a chilling light flash in his eyes for a second.
