The Bard at Hogwarts

Chapter 42: Before the Beginning, the Ancient Magic

The night in Narnia was full of stars.

But in the western sky, many stars became dim, and only the largest star was still shining.

Stone Table Hill.

On the ancient stone platform lay a golden figure, lying motionless, and next to the figure were two crying girls.

"We have to untie the ropes, we can't let Aslan lie here."

Young Lucy said as she stretched out her tender hands and began to tear the ropes.

"It's tied too tight, we need tools."

As the eldest sister, Susan was also sad, but she still kept her mind.

She saw at a glance that this solid rope was not something they could untie with their bare hands.

In this silent night, time passed by minute by minute.

And the temperature around was getting colder and colder, including Aslan lying on the stone platform, who was still warm just now, but now he was completely stiff.

"Lucy, we have to go back, otherwise Peter and the others will be anxious." Susan was the first to get out of sadness.

"But..."

"No buts, we must return to the camp before dawn." Susan pulled up her younger sister.

The night was not so dark anymore.

A glimmer of dawn had appeared on the distant eastern horizon.

Just as Susan and Lucy were about to leave the Stone Table Valley, a loud noise came from behind them, and the sound was like a giant smashing a huge plate.

The two looked back after hearing the sound.

The stone platform had been split in half from top to bottom, and the sound just now was also made by it, but Aslan's body on the stone platform had long disappeared.

"Woo! That's terrible!" Lucy cried.

"Who did it? Is it magic again?" Susan looked around angrily.

"Yes!" A loud voice came from behind them. "But this is a more advanced magic."

The sun rose, and Aslan's whole body was shining in the morning light, with a golden glow.

And its body was even bigger than before, so that when the older Susan rushed over to hug it, she only touched the soft lion's mane when she raised her head.

"You're still alive! Aslan." Lucy smiled happily.

"Yes! Dear, I'm still alive." Aslan lowered his head and gently touched Lucy.

"But this... we clearly saw you..." Susan didn't know what to say for a moment.

"It's like this." Aslan looked up at Susan, "The White Witch has ancient magic, but her knowledge can only be traced back to the beginning of time."

"But if she could know further, could enter the silence and darkness before the beginning of time, then she would know that there is even more ancient magic there..."

Aslan told the two the origin of his resurrection.

Compared to Susan's thoughtfulness, Lucy, who was younger, couldn't bear to hear these profound things.

Taking advantage of the free time, she hurriedly asked: "What about now? What should we do?"

"Now?" Aslan shook his mane.

"Now we are going to help Peter and Edmund, we are going to fight, fight for Narnia, but before that, you two had better cover your ears."

Although they didn't understand why, Susan and Lucy still did it.

"Ah~Roar!"

Aslan opened his huge mouth and let out a deafening roar on the top of the mountain! As if announcing his return.

...

It seems that fate cannot be changed, and some things seem to have been predetermined.

Ino lived alone in the valley for six days.

But from the third day, the only dried cheese and ham left in his suitcase had been consumed.

"Okay! In addition to the magic carpet and Animagus, there is another new plan. I have to learn the extension spell, otherwise this box really can't hold much. Am I right? Little guy!"

It's pitiful to see him. Now he can finally call others little guy.

In front of him is a wooden girl, or a wood elf.

It was less than a foot tall, but had human limbs and facial features, and its body was emitting a green glow. It looked a bit like a bowtruckle.

He encountered this creature while hunting in the mountains. Compared with the wood elves who could understand human language, this little guy in front of him looked stupid and dumb. Not only could he not speak, he even had no basic thinking.

Ino once suspected that this wood elf followed him because he was expelled by his kind. After all, no one wanted to play with a fool.

But no matter what, at least in these six days, he had someone to talk to, no matter whether the other person could understand him or not.

At the same time.

After finishing his daily talk, Ino looked at the berries he had just collected, which were a bit like pomegranates and figs.

"Pulp separation!"

As the words fell, the magic light accurately hit a small pile of berries not far away.

Then they were like being controlled by an invisible hand, peeling off the bitter skin and revealing the new red flesh inside.

To be honest, the berries in front of him were sour and astringent, and the taste was not very good, but this was his only source of food.

After all... after hearing the hare begging for mercy, he completely turned into a vegetarian, at least for the past few days.

On the other side.

The wood elf, who had been waiting eagerly, saw that the food had been processed, so he took small steps and walked to the berries hesitantly.

Then he quickly picked up a fruit as big as his head, and didn't rush to eat it. Instead, he sat on the ground with a satisfied smile.

Ino was not surprised by such scenes. It was just a berry.

In fact, he had guessed more than once that the reason why the little guy didn't leave was probably because of his generosity.

After all, it was just feeding... It was normal to be dependent on him after a few times.

...

After eating and drinking, Ino lay on the lawn in the valley and looked up at the sky.

This was one of his few ways to pass the time. Although the snow in Narnia melted and the whole valley was full of vitality, there was no other sound except the call of the robin.

Perhaps it was as the dwarf said, or perhaps it was for some other reason. In short, the small animals in the valley had always been avoiding him.

The hare was like this before, and the group of wood elves were like this too.

He couldn't figure it out, so he simply stopped thinking about it. Anyway, he couldn't stay here for long.

Perhaps it was human nature that we could never be free of distractions.

As soon as one question was put down in the mind, the second question would inevitably follow.

His thoughts were flying. He thought of the snow-covered castle, the white witch in the garden, and even the dwarf old Simon...

"Merry Christmas! Child!"

The sudden voice made Ino startle and sit up instantly.

Another reindeer sleigh appeared in front of him.

But unlike the white witch's sleigh before, this one was wider, with six reindeers alone.

And each reindeer had a red mini Santa hat tied to its horn.

"Don't be nervous! I have no ill intentions." The speaker was a standard Santa Claus.

The reason for saying this is that the other party's appearance, dress, and costumes completely match the image of Santa Claus in all stories.

"I'm just an old man who delivers Christmas gifts. Mr. Rabbit said that there are still people here who haven't received gifts. This is my dereliction of duty."

"So, after returning home, I rushed here overnight..."
