The Black Necromancer
391 Increased Production Rate
Leon floated up into the sky as he admired the sight of the majestic airships that were maintaining a decently high altitude. However, when he reached a certain distance, he stuttered in the air as he felt the mana that gathered around him to keep him afloat suddenly turn turbulent and rowdy.
"Ah, there is an anti-magic barrier around the airship. It helps with warding off spells and people who try to get close and board the ship." Vera said from her spot on the cliff. Just then, the barrier was turned off and Leon continued upwards.
With the smooth sailing, he soon landed on the deck of the massive one kilometer long airship. He looked around with eyes wide with awe. He could not believe that there was such a giant construct in this world, and it actually floated!
If this were a ship in the sea, it would be a completely different matter, but this ship was in the air!
"Amazing! I never thought I would see something like this outside of all those fantasy novels from Earth." Leon whispered under his breath. Behind him, his other companions landed on the deck of the ship. At this time, Leon had teleported everyone that he had wanted to bring with him to Rivera. Because of the change in plans concerning their travel, he had left quite a few people behind, but now, he had brought them here.
"Whoa..." Adrian's mouth formed an 'O' as he turned around, taking in the massive deck of the ship. It was divided into partitions with several sections serving as rooms and sections that held some important things, so he was not able to take in the entirety of the deck, but what he could see was already plenty.
"IS THAT A FUCKING CANNON?!" Adrian's mouth got impossibly wider as he stared at the giant magical cannon that was twice his height and about three times thicker. He ran over to it and ran his hands over its base before a large centaur came over and fixed him with a glare.
"Grubs off, bub. If you fire that thing the wrong way, you could get yourself killed." He grunted and Adrian took a step back with a stiff chuckle.
While Adrian was looking around like an excited child in a candy shop, Malaki and Bella were much more silent and so stricken with shock that they treaded more carefully.
"Can you believe it? A flying ship!" Bella tugged on Malaki's sleeve as she whispered.
"I can see it clearly and I think I can eventually get around to believing it. I never thought I would see something like this in my life." Malaki gulped.
"Impressive, right?" Vera giggled as she followed their gazes. She felt immensely proud at being able to show off what her people had accomplished.
"We were actually hoping to have many more done by the time you arrived. The war is still schedules to begin in two months' time at the very least. By then, we should have many more airships, and we will claim Rivera by storm!" Vera clenched her fists. Her eyes burned with an excited light which showed that she was anticipating the coming storm that would take the world by surprise.
The Elves had been a relatively stable element since the first records of the world. They had suffered very little serious wars, and unless it was a matter that had to do with the whole world, they usually kept to themselves. The number of times that the Elves had joined any war could be counted on a single hand.
When the war for the throne erupted between Vera and her father, the whole world would surely be surprised. After all, never was there a situation where the elves were against each other. The only situation that could be counted was the matter of the Dark Elves.
"Two months is a long time, but also very short." Leon commented. His various summons already roamed the deck as they took in everything that the Blood Breaker had to offer. As the first of her kind, she was extremely luxurious as the builders put their all into her construction. Her sister, the 'White Maiden', which floated a short distance away was only half her size, and features a bit less armaments than her.
"You are right, Leon. But with your presence here, I am sure that we can get a lot done! As a matter of fact, you possess a bulk of manpower right now, manpower that could speed up our speed of construction by at least an order of magnitude!" Vera grinned deviously.
Leon blinked, taken aback by Vera's sudden declaration. He had not expected her to want to exploit his uniqueness in this way. Indeed, he had a lot of manpower. After the war with the Demons which had only just completely rounded up a few weeks ago, Leon's Undead Army now numbered past one hundred thousand!
Even though some of them were rather weak, and only around D rank at least, a D rank was still much stronger than an average person, which meant that they could do many times as much work than what an ordinary person could produce.
"If I lend as much as I can, then how quickly will we be able to produce these airships?" Leon asked.
Vera turned around, as if she had already anticipated this question, and waved someone over. The person had already heard Leon's question and quickly answered.
"With the help of at least C rank fighters numbering up to a thousand, we should be able to maintain a production output of at least two 500 meter long airships per week. With double that amount, we should be able to produce two 800 meter long airships a week. With five times that number, which will be ten thousand C rank warriors, we should be able to produce one 1 kilometer long airship and one 500 meter long air ship in a week. This is already taking into account our current numbers in Duskbloom as it is." The young Dark Elf said as he read from a booklet.
