The Black Necromancer

470 [Bonus Chapter] Establishing Positions

"Truly, truly, I do not like that pompous fool." Dyson shook his head as he sat down on a soft couch. He sipped on an exotic drink that was not special like what Fazir had given Michael, but was still good. It had a kind of cool but spicy tinge to it that excited one's taste buds.

"He's been a headache for me ever since I found out he existed. Don't mind him. The others keep him in check." Leon chuckled.

"Hmm." Dyson placed his drink down. "If I may ask, Leon, why did you invite us here? I assumed that you would be much more pompous and difficult to approach."

"Yeah, you even have the look. Big bad Skeleton Boss!" Hannah chipped in from the side. She had truly been taken aback by Leon at first, as if this was the first time she had seen an Obsidian Skeleton.

Leon paused. Well, it probably was.

"Haha, well, it is a look that I've worked on for the past couple of years. I like it quite well, it makes people take me more seriously. But it does have its downsides." Leon explained. "As for why I asked you to come here with me, it's quite simple. I am aware that you have just ascended and do not have a place to call your own. Plus, it seems the other Gods, especially Tiphone, wants to keep you under their thumbs."

"So, you want us to stay with you?" Hannah asked.

"Yes. We share a similar background and understand each other better. The other Gods have a high and mighty attitude and are fond of looking down on us. With that in mind, I believe it would be better for us to join forces and stand together." Leon explained with a serious tone. His expression was already as serious as it could be with his skeletal features.

Silence reigned for a few moments before Dyson spoke up.

"I assume that if we agree, then you will be the leader of this 'faction' that you are attempting to build." Dyson smirked, locking his golden eyes with the flames burning within Leon's black skull.

"Naturally." Leon nodded his head.

Dyson took a deep breath, "You see, the thing with me is that my pride is rather overwhelming. I do not like to blindly follow someone if that person is undeserving. If you want me and my siblings to follow you, then you will have to prove yourself."

"Prove myself? Just say that you want to fight me." Leon grinned.

"Haha! I am glad we are of the same mind!" Dyson laughed, his aura flaring.

In the next moment, all four of them vanished from Leon's Divine Kingdom and appeared on a floating island not far from it.

"Let us use this spot. Will you fight me one on one or come as a group?" He asked.

"How pompous!" Dyson exclaimed. "Dean, Hannah. Leave him to me." He stepped forward, the space around his body rippling with his power. He seemed to suddenly become surrounded by a golden halo of light and his body began to swell with power.

"You ascended not much longer than us. Do you think the gap between us is that much?" A ferocious sneer emerged on the Lion Beastkin's face as he stared at Leon. He disdained those who looked down no him. From his perspective, as Leon had just advanced only recently, there was no was he could be strong enough to beat all three of them at once. Therefore, he felt insulted by Leon's question.

"Here I come!" Dyson declared. He immediately launched a direct fully powered attack at Leon. His body turned into a golden lion sculpture as he rushed at Leon. Two glowing orbs of golden light formed over his fists.

Leon was a bit surprised, but his surprise did not last for long.

'Sun? I can handle that easily.' Leon held his right arm up and pointed it as Dyson. He did not move a single step.

"I can tell you hold a great deal of confidence in your power. But you are far too unrefined to beat me. Plus, it's simply a bad match up." Leon tilted his head, a hint of amusement in his tone. That only seemed to rile up Dyson even more. The Lion Beastkin roared, sending a powerful shockwave bursting ahead of him and slamming into Leon.

"Freeze." Leon willed, voicing out his command.

And in the next moment, Dyson's body froze mid air, not moving a single inch forward.

BOOM!

His body fell to the ground in a blue, slamming into the island and sending a powerful rumble throughout the body of land.

Leon lifted his hand and made a clawing motion and Dyson's body came flying right up and stopping not far from him.

"Do you want to stop?" He asked when he saw a line of golden blood running down Dyson's face.

"Hahaha! No! It's been forever since I felt this sort of excitement! KEEP FIGHTING!" He roared and exploded with power. A haze of heat and light engulfed the two, but in the next moment, Leon teleported out of the range of the explosion.

Clang!

Leon's soft robes turned into a set of intimidating armor as he prepared to get serious. What he had done would most likely not work again as Dyson would be on guard against it.

What he had done was quite simple, really. In reality, all things that had mass also had gravity. The greater the mass of an object, the greater the forces of gravity acted upon it.

Dyson envisioned himself as a manifestation of a powerful sun and that had also manifested in the way he visualized and fought. In the moment when Dyson had shot forward, he had called upon his internal visualization of an ideal version of himself, which was a sun. This was necessary for him to be able to draw upon his full power.

What Leon had done in response was to manipulate the immense gravitational force that acted upon the 'sun' that Dyson had become, thus allowing him to throw him around like a ragdoll.

Of course, this would not have been easy if the gap between them was not already great enough.
