The Blue Eyes

He had bounced five meters earlier after receiving a very hard kick, and now he was standing about ten meters from the person who kicked him a few minutes ago.

Even though the girl's body was small and looked frail, her kick was so strong that it knocked him off.

Jack slowly changed form. His monster form had now changed into a tall and muscular human form. The change in his form apparently caused a reaction. Dozens of werewolf monsters from the previous generation, who had been hiding to monitor the situation, now appeared and marched to approach the man if only he didn't immediately raise his hand as an instruction for them.

"I can beat this little kid alone even when I'm in this form," Jack said to the crowd, who looked alert after seeing the man changed form.

Jack's form turned human, but his eyes were still bright red, and his body was also covered with a red aura. Jack's current state was also ready for combat even though he wasn't at full strength.

The tattooed man looked at Blue with disdain, then his long legs walked forward and slashed the distance between them until only about five meters remained.

"You think Kris can save Kevin now?" Jack casually asked the young girl.

Blue, who was currently covered in the blue aura, didn't seem afraid to hear Jack's question. "I believe in Uncle Kris," replied the girl in a freezing tone.

That answer made Jack laugh. "Uncle Kris?" He asked in a mocking tone. "Since when did you call him 'Uncle'?"

"He's my guardian, and he's not a bad person like you. It's only natural for me to start being polite to him."

Again, the answer that came out of the beautiful girl's mouth made Jack laugh. "You call me a bad person? But, didn't you say before that I'm not that bad?"

Blue's memory floated after hearing the man's question. Yes, she remembered she once said that Jack wasn't that bad. At that time, her heart was quite touched to see how Jack's efforts to help her drink when she was chained up.

"Yes, you really weren't that bad, Jack. Unfortunately, you chose to be bad."

Blue's statement stopped Jack's laughter. He stared at the girl sharply, and it turned out that the girl also returned his gaze with no less sharpness.

"Blue, if you give up now, I promise to overlook you and let you get out of here."

Jack's sudden soft words tickled Blue's conscience a little, but of course, the girl had no intention of giving up. She came to the place after being ordered by Selena, and she was determined to end everything as quickly as possible. She hoped she would have enough time to teleport again to the island where the professor was.

"You are very generous, but I can't accept it. I'd rather you just give up on me, and I'll spare you, Jack."

Jack's blood seemed to be boiling after hearing Blue's proud words. The man finally made up his mind to kill Blue as soon as possible.

The red-eyed werewolf ran towards the blue-eyed girl. His hands were ready to choke the girl's neck, but when his hand was already very close to the slender neck, the girl suddenly disappeared. Frantically, Jack looked to the right and left to find the blue-eyed girl.

"I'm here."

A voice came from behind him. He immediately turned around and found Blue standing there with a lopsided smile on her thick lips. Ah, he forgot that Blue had the power to teleport very quickly. In the past, he taught the girl how to control her power, and now she was using her power to fight him. How ironic.

Jack refocused his thoughts and ran back to Blue. This time, he prepared his death blow for the girl, but the girl disappeared again, and his attack failed again. Even this time he immediately felt a heavy stroke in his nape. Apparently, Blue teleported behind him and quickly hit the nape of his neck.

The werewolf had fallen because of the blow, but he immediately got up again. He growled, and the black-haired wolf beast form returned to replace his human form. It looked like Jack was getting serious in the fight.

Seeing Jack transformed again, Blue laughed disparagingly. "You even have to transform again just to fight this little kid?" She asked in a mocking tone, remembering how Jack called her a 'little kid' before they started fighting.

The black-haired monster ignored the girl's taunts. The monster prepared to attack the girl quickly. His speed was much faster than the speed when he was in human form, and that prevented Blue from having time to teleport, and her neck was grabbed by the monster.

Blue grimaced in pain, but she immediately used her hands to hold Jack's right hand that was choking her. The girl concentrated her strength on the two hands, and suddenly Jack groaned in pain as he took his hands off the girl's neck. It turned out that Blue broke Jack's hand right at the joint of the elbow, causing Jack to take a few steps back to recover his hand.

Jack forgot that Blue had tremendous physical strength in addition to her teleportation power. He certainly still remembered how that girl broke the chain that wrapped around her body some time ago.

Jack's hand had not fully recovered, but suddenly Blue teleported right in front of him and used her right hand to grip Jack's neck. The positions were reversed now.

"Ah, this situation reminds me of the moment when I killed five thugs at once by breaking their necks. Do you want to experience it, Jack?"

Jack swallowed hard. Since when had Blue been this cruel? It seemed that some time ago, Blue was still a gentle girl who disliked violence. Then, why did Blue suddenly change?

"You want to know why I changed?" As if she could read Jack's mind, Blue asked sarcastically. "It's because I'm fed up with you, Jack! You had many opportunities to change, you had many opportunities to stop being evil, but you didn't use them!"

Blue's grip around his neck grew even stronger, and it was getting harder for Jack to breathe.

"I just want to live in a peaceful world without war! It's enough that I've lost my parents, and it's enough that I've lost my true self! I don't want to lose anyone again, and if you insist on taking all that from me, I won't hesitate to kill you!"

The girl's blue aura grew stronger, and the blue light in her eyes grew brighter as well. The girl seemed to intend to use her full strength to finish off Jack. Her blue eyes sharply stared at Jack's red eyes, which now looked even sadder. That's when Blue suddenly released her grip from the neck of the black-haired monster.

Blue walked back a few steps while shaking her head in horror. "I still can't do it. Even though I hate you and really want to kill you, but I don't want to do it! And, why do I have to kill you when you will eventually be able to turn into a human again?"

Jack was still trying to catch his breath, but he was astounded when he heard Blue's statement.

"What do you mean I'll be able to turn into a human again?"

Blue looked at Jack. The blue aura that enveloped her body was now starting to fade. Now she was back to being her usual self.

"The antidote to return werewolves to normal humans has been found."

Blue's reply stunned Jack. Not only was Jack that shocked, but the army of other werewolf monsters who had been watching their battle was also appalled to hear Blue's words.

"You're lying. I never heard about that before. You just want to deceive me so I will surrender, right?"

Blue's eyes turned cold as she replied, "I don't need to lie to make you surrender. Professor Selena Beischel told me about the antidote before I teleported here."

Blue didn't lie. Selena Beischel indeed gave her the information before she teleported to the city.

["I've found the antidote, Blue. Please relay the news to the werewolf monster if they don't want to surrender."]

That information shocked her, but she believed that the professor wouldn't lie to her about such an important matter. The news was accurate even though the professor didn't tell her where she hid the antidote.

For a moment, Jack seemed nervous at Blue's words, but then he laughed disparagingly and asked, "So what if the antidote was found? Who the hell wants to return to being a weak human?"

Blue's expression remained cold as she responded, "Humans are physically weak, but humans have a strong heart. Don't you know how strong Brother Kevin's heart was, which persisted for seventeen years after he lost his parents? Don't you know how strong Professor Selena's heart is when she has to oppose her own husband now?"

Blue's cold expression melted down after she asked those questions. Memories of Kevin and Selena popped up in her head, causing Blue to feel pain as she imagined how these two people had suffered so much during these seventeen years.

Blue sighed for a moment to calm herself down, then she continued, "And, don't you know how strong my heart is? I lived in the void for seventeen years, but I still endured. It's only today that I realized that I'm never alone. I have Brother Kevin, I have Professor Selena, and I also have Uncle Kris. You don't want to take part in filling my void?"

Jack was stunned by Blue's last question. Especially when he saw the girl stretched out her right hand towards him while walking toward him.

"I'm giving you one last chance, Jack. Do you want to go back to being a human?"

Jack didn't answer Blue's question right away, nor did he immediately take her hand. But, his monster form slowly changed to human form, and his red eyes also turned into dark beaded eyes. He stared at Blue's blue eyes, which sincerely stared at him as if she were cajoling him into accepting her offer.

And as if drugged by those eyes, Jack slowly raised his left hand to welcome Blue's hand. The girl then smiled in relief afterward.

Unfortunately, the two youngsters couldn't stay in peace for long as they suddenly heard screams from a direction not far from them. The two people simultaneously turned their heads towards the source of the sound, and they gasped when they saw a group of werewolf monsters running towards them full of anger.
