#124 - Capturing Killian
“Hiss… Don't worry, this gas is harmless to normal people. It will only make you fall asleep and have a good dream.” Pooba inhaled the minty scent in the air with relish.
“Thank you, but no thanks.” Steve politely declined.
“We still need to catch Killian; we can't let him escape.”
“Leave it to me.” Thor said, throwing his hammer and flying into the sky.
“I'll go take a look too.” Four Arms slightly lowered his body, leaping and flying out of the parking lot.
“Guys,” Hawkeye's tired voice came from the communicator.
“I hope you haven't forgotten about me.”
“Oh, Barton.” Steve was startled, clearly having forgotten all about their archer.
But he immediately pretended nothing was wrong and said, “Of course not, we just finished dealing with the matter at hand and were about to look for you.”
“Thanks, but it's not necessary anymore. I'm right behind you.” Hawkeye said unhappily, obviously hearing the insincerity in Steve's tone.
Everyone turned around and saw Hawkeye standing behind them, looking disheveled. He was covered in dust, with some burns, especially on his left arm, which was almost completely burned.
“How did you get so badly injured?” Captain America quickly stepped forward, holding Hawkeye's right hand and supporting him.
“That thing broke my bow, broke free, and I basically couldn't control it. In the end, I had to kill it with an explosive arrow, but it splashed me with its blood before it died.”
Hawkeye leaned on Steve, with large areas of burns on his body. He didn't faint but walked over on his own, truly a tough guy.
“I'm definitely going to dress more thoroughly in the future.” Hawkeye said, looking at his exposed arms.
“Don't talk, I'll take you to the doctor.” Steve supported Hawkeye, telling him to save his strength.
“The doctor is here for rounds!” Pooba quickly ran to Hawkeye.
“Let me see, tsk tsk tsk, it's a miracle you didn't faint.”
“Say less.” Hawkeye rolled his eyes at Pooba.
“I'm in so much pain I want to curse.”
“Don't be nervous, don't be nervous, medical disputes are not advisable.” Pooba checked Hawkeye's injuries.
“Okay, I know how to treat it, hold him up, Captain.”
Pooba straightened up. The gas tank on his abdomen showed the fusion process of several gases. Pooba swayed his butt while fusing.
“Twist it, shake it, and shake it again.”
“Okay.” After speaking, Pooba stretched out his right hand and aimed the spray nozzle on his wrist at Hawkeye's wound. A stream of blue gas sprayed out.
The sprayed area was small to prevent the mist from spraying elsewhere. With Pooba's hand movements, it slowly sprayed onto all the wounds.
Hawkeye felt a coolness on the wounds sprayed with the mist, and then the pain gradually decreased until it disappeared. Most magically, these gases, after being sprayed on the body, actually solidified at a visible speed and eventually looked almost like a plaster cast.
“There are no bandages here, so I added a bit of coagulant to allow the medicine itself to act as a bandage. Of course, I also added some anesthetic, so you shouldn't feel any pain now.” Pooba explained.
“Thank you, I feel much better.” Hawkeye broke free from Steve's support and moved his body. Although it was a bit slow, he really couldn't feel any pain.
“As for the scars, don't worry, that's included in the service.” Pooba said with a smile.
“In three hours, I guarantee you'll look as good as new.”
“I'm very interested in that scar removal medicine.” Natasha's voice suddenly rang out from the channel. If it was really that magical, maybe she could pick up her lost bikini.
“Can you give me some?”
“Of course.” Pooba agreed.
“We're back, guys.” Before they arrived, Thor's voice could probably be heard several blocks away.
With a “thud,” Thor landed in front of everyone, holding his hammer in his right hand and Killian in his left.
Killian's clothes were gone again. Thor could only grab his hair. Killian's hands were burning red as he grabbed Thor's left hand, desperately trying to break free.
But unfortunately, his strength and heat were as good as nothing in Thor's eyes.
“I'm late again.” Four Arms also jumped back at this time. In fact, Thor had already caught Killian before he arrived, so he didn't need his help at all. He was also very helpless. Even if he jumped high, he couldn't compare to Thor, who could fly.
“Let go of me!” Killian struggled desperately. His movements were too big, which annoyed Thor, who swung his hammer and hit him in the face.
Killian immediately fainted, his head drooping weakly, and even a few teeth fell out of his mouth.
“Mission complete.” Thor said with a smile.
“Okay.” Steve nodded.
“We should go back.”
The Xingcha transport plane slowly descended, carrying the triumphant crowd.
However, none of them noticed that the parking lot's camera had recorded their performance.
The latest novels are first published at Liu Jiu Jiu Shu Ba!
In distant Sokovia, in a secret bunker, Ultron watched everything that had happened through the camera.
Ultron sat on the machine bed, supporting his head with one hand. Killian had really disappointed it too much, not even lasting a day.
But fortunately, it still had backup plans. Sure enough, humans were not a species worth trusting.
“Such beautiful fireworks, it's a pity I can't see them.” Ultron sighed, then continued to dive into the network to find what it needed.
Back at Avengers Tower, after bringing Killian back, the group locked him in the interrogation room.
“I never thought there would be a day when we would use this room.” Tony said.
Outside the interrogation room, a group of Avengers and Tiangong Society members were standing on the other side of the one-way mirror, waiting for the hogtied Killian to wake up.
“I think a punch would wake him up.” Thor suggested.
“Good idea.” Tony agreed.
“So, who should go? I don't want to be splashed with lava.”
“I'm listening.” Hawkeye, covered in battle damage, rolled his eyes at Tony.
“Don't worry, I already eliminated his Extremis virus when we came back.” Pooba said.
“He's just an ordinary person now.”
“OK! Then I'll go.” Hawkeye moved his shoulders.
“Doesn't interrogation need a good cop and a bad cop? I feel like I'm especially suitable for the bad cop.”
Clearly, Hawkeye just wanted to vent his anger from his injuries.
“I'll go.” Steve stopped Hawkeye. “Barton, your injuries haven't healed yet; you need to rest.”
“I'm still good, and it's not like I'm saying, Steve, you're okay as a good cop, but you're not suitable as a bad cop. You need a partner.” Hawkeye still wanted to fight for it.
“I think I'm the most suitable bad cop here.” Four Arms raised his two right hands.
“But unfortunately, I can't squeeze in.”
Four Arms wasn't joking. Even in the observation room, he could only stick his head in from outside the door and couldn't squeeze in at all.
“I'll go.” Diamond Warrior interjected.
“I think a non-human creature is most suitable for the role of intimidation.”
