#164 - New goals
To prevent the twins from doing something classically idiotic during the mission, Yang Le had to guide them to review the priorities in their minds.
Telling them the answer directly wouldn't make them remember it carefully; only what they figure out themselves truly belongs to them. This was something Yang Le's math teacher had said, and he always felt it was right.
As for why he didn't solve these problems himself, it was because Yang Le felt that Franklin was hiding a big secret.
Seriously, Franklin the Almighty suddenly losing his superpowers had to be related to this major event. Bringing him along might have unexpected uses.
Only Valeria was usually tied to the twins; bringing her was just in case.
Moreover, Yang Le also had the idea of recruiting the two of them. Taking them along would also allow him to observe them and see if they were qualified.
After all, with Peter and the others constantly watching, it was difficult for the two of them, especially Franklin, to grow.
"Okay." Yang Le felt a wave of sleepiness and yawned.
"Although I'm very tired, I think it's better if we leave tonight."
"Aren't we going to tell Uncle Peter and them?" Franklin asked.
"Don't be silly, little F," Valeria rolled her eyes at her brother.
"Didn't you see their expressions? They definitely won't help us, and they'll even stop us. Leaving quietly is better for everyone."
After hearing Valeria's words, Franklin fell silent. He was actually struggling inside, knowing that he was thinking about Peter's gaze earlier, which was full of distrust.
"Okay." Franklin nodded, agreeing to Yang Le and Valeria's plan.
"Then where should we go?"
"I don't know," Yang Le shrugged.
"After all, I haven't been in this world for long. It's impossible for me to know more than you. Do you have any good suggestions?"
This stumped the two of them, as they didn't know the exact target either.
"Seriously?" Yang Le looked at the two of them in disbelief.
"Are we going to be talking in circles for so long, only to end up with nothing?"
"No." Valeria denied, then slowly said.
"I do have an idea."
"What is it?" Yang Le asked.
"The beginning of all this," Valeria said through gritted teeth.
"The Devourer's Blood Nest."
Yang Le immediately understood. Peter had told him that the beginning of this crisis was the corpse of the Devourer floating in the universe. If they wanted to find any clues, then obviously going to the source of everything was the most appropriate.
"Where is it?"
"I don't know. The Devourer's Blood Nest hasn't appeared for several years."
Yang Le couldn't help but feel a burst of shortness of breath. It was so frustrating to ask and get nothing in return.
"Then when was the last time it appeared, and where?" Yang Le scratched his head, helpless but to start investigating from the beginning.
"It was in New York City, during the zombie crisis. As for when it disappeared, no one noticed. Everyone was trying their best to survive. By the time they paid attention again, it had already disappeared."
"Such a big thing definitely can't be hidden, and a large portion of the world's superhumans have been infected. They don't need to hide either. They must have some purpose."
Yang Le thought for a while, and finally decided to give up. There was too little information. Even becoming a high-IQ alien hero wouldn't help. It was better to wait until they got to New York.
"Then it seems we can only go to New York first. There will always be a way once we get there."
"I have an idea," Franklin suddenly said, attracting the attention of the other two.
"Although I don't know if it will succeed, I've decided to try it. I need a zombie corpse."
"Isn't there one at the Artisan's place?" Yang Le asked, puzzled.
Franklin shook his head and said, "The Artisan has put them all in the laboratory. If we go there to make trouble now, we will definitely be discovered by them."
Valeria looked at Yang Le and asked, "Are there any corpses left of Vulcan and the others?"
After all, the battle had caused a lot of commotion. Valeria doubted whether anything could be left.
"There should be some, right?" Yang Le stroked his chin, trying to recall.
Gladiator was swallowed by a black hole, and Hyperion was smashed to pieces. It was hard to say whether they could be found. As for Vulcan…
Oh! This guy seems to have a lower body left.
"There is," Yang Le nodded.
"Vulcan's lower body is a dozen kilometers away."
The latest novels are available on Liǔ.9.Shū.Bā.
"That's great!" Franklin waved his hand happily.
"I was worried that those guys would be turned into dust by you. It's really beyond my expectations that such a big piece is left."
"Then what are we waiting for?" Valeria called out to the two.
"Let's set off now."
Just like that, Yang Le packed his luggage and, together with the twins who were already prepared, boarded the Sentinel robot Nana, who had been waiting for a long time, and flew towards the battlefield a dozen kilometers away.
The Sentinel robot wasn't slow, but the evening wind made Yang Le feel a bit cold. To avoid catching a cold, he transformed into an alien hero again.
This time, he chose to transform directly into X-Kingo, just in case the previous siege happened again. After all, he had already suffered once. Other alien heroes seemed a bit lacking in the face of this crisis.
As the saying goes, one-on-one is fine, but if the opponent is many-on-one and doesn't play fair, Yang Le can only cheat.
After all, the opponent started it first, so this can only be considered a sanction against them.
Yang Le crossed his arms, amusing himself with the thought. The twins also sat aside, watching X-Kingo's starry sky-like body. It had to be said that it was really beautiful, like a real universe.
Without a word, the group quickly arrived at their destination. The ravines on the ground and the almost overturned surface of the earth didn't surprise the twins much.
They weren't ordinary people. Don't look at how young they are, as the juniors of the Fantastic Four, they may not have seen big scenes, but they have heard of many.
Not to mention, Franklin himself always plays with the universe, and Valeria has also seen it. The scene in front of them was just a small scene for them.
"Master, target found."
Nana's voice came, and she shot two strong beams of light from her eyes, converging to illuminate a place, which was particularly conspicuous because it was night.
Franklin looked over, and under the spotlight, a lower body was lying quietly on the ground, indescribably strange.
However, none of the people present were afraid, and even felt excited.
Franklin quickly directed Nana to land. After landing, Franklin ran quickly towards the corpse, his short legs moving so fast that even Valeria couldn't catch up.
Franklin ran to the corpse and sat down, taking out a palm-sized object from his backpack, which looked like a mobile phone.
It seems that it is the method Franklin mentioned.
