#166 - Jumping over the wall
"Which direction is the radiation source?" Yang Le asked.
"It's to our east," Franklin replied.
"The exact location isn't clear yet, but the radiation is coming from the east."
"OK, then let's go east," Yang Le nodded.
"If it's to the east, we might have some trouble."
Valeria's voice came, as she dismantled the gun in her hand while talking to Yang Le and the others.
"There's a Francos Wall there, and it might be difficult to cross."
"What's that?" Yang Le looked at Valeria, puzzled. He didn't remember such a place in Marvel.
"It's a steel city, built by S.H.I.E.L.D. and AIM together. We don't know the specifics, only that the zombies have tried to take it down several times without success."
Valeria explained without looking up.
"Some survivors regard it as a sacred city and want to go there, but most of them die on the road."
"This American legend vibe is too strong," Yang Le complained.
"It is a bit," Valeria agreed with Yang Le, handing another gun to Franklin.
Two people modifying together would be faster. They didn't know what difficulties they would encounter along the way, and they couldn't afford to waste time.
"But with you here, crossing it shouldn't be a problem," Valeria sized up Yang Le, who had transformed into X-Gundam. That god-like power became the confidence for her trip.
"We have to prepare for the worst, Little Val," Yang Le didn't want to sound too confident, after all, he didn't know what level this incident was. Who knew if the screenwriter would have a brain fart and zombify some abstract things.
After all, even Galactus, a pure energy being, had been zombified.
Speaking of which, according to Vulcan's idea, only organic beings could be infected, so how was Galactus, a pure energy being, infected?
Could it be that the Galactus of this universe is an organic being? That would be quite devaluing.
Ignoring this arbitrary addition by the screenwriter, relying on Nana's speed, Valeria and Franklin had just finished modifying their guns when they saw the Francos Wall not far away.
"Look!" Franklin pointed to the glittering city in the distance.
"That's Francos."
The so-called Francos is a steel city built entirely of metal. Gold, silver, bronze, all kinds of metal colors shine brightly under the sunlight, particularly dazzling.
Yang Le looked at the magnificent city and nodded. This was indeed a good place to go. Those well-built weapons with terrifyingly large calibers were clearly not to be trifled with. Ordinary people who came here probably wouldn't have to worry about the zombie crisis anymore.
Yang Le also perked up, because they were about to fly over Francos. They were trespassing, and the other side would likely shoot them down. What Yang Le had to do was block those attacks.
There was no need to fight back, after all, there were still people living here. If he destroyed these facilities, causing the zombies to break through, that would be bad.
But to Yang Le's surprise, no one attacked them. The people in the city didn't seem to notice them. They were indifferent, not caring at all about a large robot flying around over their heads.
"That's strange," Yang Le muttered in a low voice. His super vision didn't see any pedestrians on the street either. If he couldn't feel the various energies flowing within the city, he would have thought it was a dead city.
"Master, we're in trouble," Nana, who had been silent all along, spoke up, her first words being a warning.
"We have zombies approaching from behind."
Without Nana's reminder, Yang Le had already sensed the threat from behind, but he wasn't nervous, because he could feel that the people behind him were too weak.
Yang Le turned his head, and sure enough, he couldn't even recognize who these zombies originally were. Probably some seventh or eighth-tier characters.
"It's Alpha Team!" Franklin answered Yang Le's doubts, saying the name of the newcomers.
Yang Le nodded, good, as expected he still didn't know who they were. Just in case they were from the magic side, he should get rid of them as soon as possible.
Yang Le stretched out a finger, and a beam of light burst out from it, shooting towards the leader, a burly man in a red and white uniform, riddled with holes, with lightning speed.
When the burly man saw Yang Le launch an attack, he wanted to dodge, flying to the right.
Unexpectedly, the beam of light also changed direction, drawing an arc and flying towards him again.
This was clearly beyond its expectations. It immediately climbed, wanting to avoid the attack by virtue of its height, but it was useless. The beam of light also climbed, eventually accurately piercing through it.
The zombie weakly fell from the sky, the beam of light drilled out of its brain, and flew towards the other zombies with unabated momentum.
In this way, following the same pattern, the remaining zombies were all eliminated by him. This was the easiest battle Yang Le had fought since coming to this universe, so boring that he was about to yawn.
"It would be great if the next one was just as easy," Yang Le said.
"That's right," Franklin nodded, agreeing.
Even though they all knew this was impossible.

"Speaking of which," Valeria suddenly said.
"Uncle Peter and the others should be awake by now, right?"
"They must be awake," Franklin glanced at the sun, feeling that his sister had said something pointless.
"They must have discovered that we're missing too."
"If we get caught and go back, we'll definitely be scolded to death," Valeria hugged her legs, her eyes looking at the steel city below, but her mind was not on it at all.
"Maybe they'll even hit us," Franklin absentmindedly touched the gun he had just modified, this pistol had been modified into a rifle, and the size was just right for him.
"Scared?" Yang Le glanced at the siblings.
"Want to go back?"
"Of course not!" The siblings said in unison.
"I'm just a little worried about Uncle Peter and the others," Franklin said.
"Me too," Valeria's expression was downcast.
"Maybe I shouldn't have argued with Moonglow."
"It's not too late to figure it out now," Yang Le squatted between the two, sensible children were definitely more likable than naughty children, placing his hands on the heads of the siblings.
"Then let's wait until we save the world and then apologize to them."
"Will Uncle Peter not scold us after we save the world?" Franklin looked at Yang Le hopefully, expecting a positive answer.
"Of course not," Yang Le shattered his delusion.
"But we should be able to avoid a beating."
The siblings looked at each other, sighed and said.
"Annoying."
