#182 - Chapter 182
The meeting concluded with a quarrel between Doom and Reed. Everyone had already deduced an answer, so there was no reason to keep them all confined together.
Besides, Galactus was hungry after talking for so long. If they stayed any longer, he might lose his mind.
Thus, after everyone's discussion, the meeting came to a relatively satisfactory end. However, they all agreed that if anything happened, they must contact each other immediately to prevent the zombie incident from happening again.
After the meeting, Franklin didn't have everyone return to the conference room but instead sent them directly home, saving a lot of trouble.
"Phew! It's finally over," Johnny stretched. Although he hadn't done anything, he still felt tired.
"It must have been hard sitting for so long," Ben Grimm joked.
"Yeah," Johnny said, not getting angry, and patted his butt in agreement.
"My butt is sore from sitting."
"You two," Susan shook her head, but the corners of her mouth couldn't help but turn up.
"You should be more mature in front of the children."
"It doesn't matter. Anyway, little Franklin and Valeria know what kind of person I am," Johnny waved his hand, not caring.
Franklin and Valeria shook their heads simultaneously. Having such an elder was truly... lucky. That's right, having an elder who could joke around was quite a happy thing.
"I want to get a good sleep," Reed twisted his body into a pretzel, presumably stretching.
"Normally, we haven't touched a pillow in years."
"Wait a minute, Mr. Reed. I have something I want to say to you," Yang Le called out to Reed, who was preparing to go back to his room and sleep.
"What's wrong, Yang Le?" Reed asked. Everyone turned their attention to Yang Le, after all, he said "you."
"I want to resign and leave. I have a place I need to return to. I've stayed in this universe long enough," Yang Le said.
"Of course, you can," Reed nodded. After all, Yang Le had no reason to stay. The upcoming matters regarding the parallel universe and the Kree also had nothing to do with Yang Le, so they naturally wouldn't stop him from leaving.
"Do you have to leave now?" Susan stepped forward.
"Can't you wait until tomorrow morning? We haven't properly entertained you yet."
"No need to bother," Yang Le waved his hand in refusal.
"There are people waiting for me to return. If possible, I'd still like to leave sooner."
Thinking of Miss Spider, Yang Le's mouth couldn't help but turn up, harder to suppress than a gun.
"Oh, is that so?" As someone who had been there, Susan immediately understood his meaning when she saw Yang Le's expression.
"Then we'll be impolite. When you come next time, we will definitely treat you well."
"I'll look forward to it," Yang Le nodded with a smile. The next second, Yang Le's expression changed, as if there was something difficult to say.
"What's wrong?" Susan asked.
"I have a favor to ask, Madam," Yang Le touched his head.
"I want to take Franklin and Valeria with me. We've discussed it before."
Susan looked back at the two children and knew Yang Le wasn't lying when she saw them nod.
Reed looked at Susan without speaking. In fact, he wanted to agree to Yang Le, but he couldn't make the decision alone. Even if the children agreed, he still had to listen to their mother's opinion.
After all, even if they were geniuses, they were still underage.
"Emmm," Susan hummed softly, as if hesitating whether to agree to Yang Le.
"Promise Yang Le, Mom," Valeria walked over and shook Susan's arm, acting coquettishly.
"We've already agreed."
"Reed?" Susan looked at her husband, her eyes moving slightly.
After all, they had been a married couple for so many years, and Reed immediately understood her meaning, jumping out to play the white face.
"I think we can agree. It's time for the children to go out and broaden their horizons. Staying by our side all the time won't give them that sense of freedom. Besides, little Franklin and Valeria's abilities are reassuring."
"Besides, as the old saying goes, don't put all your eggs in one basket. We may be colliding with that Kree and the 1610 universe next. After all, that madman is me. He may have plans targeting little Franklin, so it's not safe for little Franklin to stay by our side. It's better to let him go out and venture out. After all, as long as little Franklin is still around, we all have hope."
Looking at her husband rambling on, Susan was dumbfounded. She hadn't really thought that much. She had originally agreed to Yang Le taking the twins, but she habitually had Reed play the white face and she played the red face to knock some sense into the twins. Who would have thought Reed could say so much.
"Alright, alright," Susan covered her head, stopping Reed.
"I agree."
"Really!" Valeria hugged Susan.
"You're the best, Mom!"
Even she would be excited about a parallel universe trip.
Don't be too happy too soon," Susan pushed away her daughter.
"Remember to take care of yourself, you must…"
Now that's good, Reed stopped, and Susan started rambling again. Now it was the Fantastic Twins' turn to have a headache.
'Yang Le, look over here.'
Yang Le was stunned. It was Franklin calling him with telepathy and telling him which direction to look.
Yang Le turned his head and saw Franklin, who had been silent all this time, had quietly walked to the corner. Yang Le's time-space flywheel was parked next to him.
Franklin: 'Let's hurry up and leave while Mom isn't paying attention.'
Yang Le: 'What about little Valeria?'
Franklin: 'I have a way. Anyway, you get in the car first.'
Seeing this, Yang Le didn't say much and quietly moved towards the corner without making a sound.
Except for Susan, who was lecturing Valeria, everyone else noticed Yang Le and little Franklin's small movements, but they didn't say anything. As men, secretly sneaking out to play was a required course, and they had to try it.
In this way, with everyone's cover, Yang Le smoothly moved to Franklin's side, got on the flywheel, and felt in his pocket to find that the time-space device had disappeared.
'I've already installed it,' Franklin said with telepathy.
"You adjust the coordinates first, and tell me when you're done. I'll save little Valeria."
Yang Le nodded and started operating, quickly finishing the operation, and then notified little Franklin in his heart.
'Okay.'
'Start the crossing.'
Yang Le obediently pressed the start button, the flywheel's hatch closed, and time and space began to distort.
Such a big movement naturally couldn't be hidden from Susan. She turned her head to see what had happened, only to see a gust of wind and rolled-up debris.
Turning her head again, she found that Valeria was missing.
"?"
Not mentioning the suspicious Susan, in the bizarre time-space tunnel, the flywheel was slowly moving forward. Inside the flywheel, Yang Le was sitting in the driver's seat, and the twins were squeezed together in the back seat, laughing.
The zombie universe is over. Next is the long-awaited Spider-Gwen, and events related to Spider-Man. What will it be? (It's so hard to guess.)
