#241 - New Prowler
Spider-Men have strong dynamic vision, and Miles is no exception, but that purple figure was just too fast. Looking at it for even a moment longer would mean missing the chance to dodge.
Miles made a decisive decision to dodge to the side. The figure missed, but only paused for a moment before attacking Miles again.
However, that brief moment allowed Miles to see the other person's appearance clearly, but this one glance shocked Miles.
A purple mask, steel gauntlets, although the uniform style was very different, its more or less unique features reminded Miles of someone, his uncle, the former Prowler Aaron Davis.
Without time to think, the opponent had already attacked Miles again. This time, there was no time to create distance, so Miles had no choice but to engage in close combat.
The opponent's moves were broad and powerful, each punch heavy and forceful, coupled with the roar of the charged gauntlets, causing Miles' spider-sense to go off non-stop.
The more Miles fought, the more alarmed he became. He was too familiar with the opponent's every move, almost exactly like what Uncle Aaron had taught him, except with a touch of madness.
Thinking of this, a terrible thought couldn't help but surface in Miles' mind.
'Could it be Uncle Aaron?' But he immediately rejected his idea.
About a year ago, after Uncle Aaron reformed, he donated most of his wealth to charity, leaving only a small portion to open a boxing gym, no longer involved in any crime, and living solely as a coach.
Miles even learned a few moves from him, although they weren't very useful due to different fighting styles, the combat experience still benefited Miles a lot.
Although being a boxing gym coach wasn't as extravagant as before, it was very free. Uncle Aaron smiled more, and even spent more time with Mom and Dad. Uncle Aaron had told Miles more than once that this year was the happiest year of his life.
In Miles' opinion, Uncle Aaron had no reason to return to a life of crime, and there was no reason to attack him.
Moreover, Miles also noticed that the Prowler in front of him didn't have Aaron's build, he was too short, about the same height as him.
"Bang!"
Miles seized an opportunity and caught the opponent's right punch, making a muffled sound.
"Wait a minute, friend," Miles quickly said, seizing the opportunity. "Who are you? Why are you wearing clothes similar to the Prowler's?"
However, the other party ignored Miles' question. Seeing that he couldn't gain any advantage in the grappling, he waved his left hand to force Miles back.
After forcing Miles back, the Prowler attacked again, wanting to engage in close combat with Miles, not giving him a moment to breathe, just like a mad dog biting and tearing.
Seeing that communication was hopeless, Miles' temper flared up, and he stopped dodging and evading, and began to counter every move, taking the initiative to attack.
The two's styles were very similar, it was obvious that they were taught by the same teacher, only with differences in some details, and for a time they fought inextricably.
At first, Miles was restrained by the opponent's charged gauntlets. Although Miles was a superhuman, he was still made of flesh, and it would hurt to be hit by a metal fist, so he naturally avoided it in every possible way. But after Miles adapted to the opponent's attack rhythm, he slowly began to counterattack.
Finally, Miles caught a flaw in his opponent's defense, and punched out, watching as it was about to hit the opponent's head.
At this moment, Miles suddenly realized that the other party was just an ordinary person wearing a suit. Without knowing the suit's protective capabilities, this punch could very likely kill the other party. Thinking of this, Miles weakened his strength by a third, and changed the point of impact to the shoulder.
However, this moment of hesitation changed the battle situation. The scales of victory, which should have tilted towards Miles, immediately turned and sped towards the Prowler.
"Bang!"
Another muffled sound, the Prowler blocked Miles' punch with his gauntlet. Under the power of Spider-Man's punch, the Prowler's gauntlet made a teeth-aching whimper. Miles was shocked and secretly thought something was wrong, wanting to withdraw but it was too late.
The Prowler flipped his wrist and directly grabbed Miles' arm. The fully powered charged gauntlet squeezed Miles' arm like a hydraulic press, causing him to cry out in pain.
"Ah!"
The Prowler turned a deaf ear, raised his other fist to end the fight. Miles could only watch helplessly as the fist attacked him.
"Swish!"
Accompanied by a sound of air being torn, a strand of spider silk wrapped around the Prowler's fist, stopping his attack.
"Looks like you still can't stand alone, kid."
Miles was very familiar with this voice. In the past year, Miles could hear this voice almost every day. Its owner was...
"Spider-Man!" Miles' voice was like a survivor of a disaster. Seeing the iconic red and blue uniform, anyone would feel at ease.
"It's me," Peter squatted on the streetlight, holding the spider silk tightly in his hand. "And so are you, so haven't you given yourself a new code name yet?"
The latest novel is first published at Liu Jiu Shu Ba!
"Also," Peter narrowed his eyes, his gaze locked on the Prowler. "What exactly is going on?"
He also knew about Aaron's matter, and also knew that the other party had reformed, and Peter could tell at a glance that the Prowler in front of him was different from Aaron.
Too trendy, not only the body shape, this style is not like the Prowler he knows at all, but like the style that Miles and other children can come up with.
"Sorry kid, this silly kid is my student, I definitely can't leave him alone." Peter shot out another strand of spider silk, sticking to the hand that the Prowler was grabbing Miles with, and then Peter changed the gesture of shooting the spider silk, and a current of electricity suddenly poured out from his web shooter, rushing towards the two of them.
Peter was not afraid of electrocuting Miles at all. This guy can play with electricity himself, although he doesn't know why he doesn't use it, but this amount of electricity definitely won't hurt him. But if the new Prowler doesn't find a way to escape, he will definitely suffer a big loss.
The Prowler also knew that if he was hit by the electric current, he would definitely lose his ability to fight, at best his movements would be hindered, and it was not impossible to faint directly. Helpless, the Prowler had no choice but to disarm and abandon his charged gauntlets.
Although he avoided this attack, the Prowler who lost his charged gauntlets undoubtedly lost the qualification to fight Spider-Man, and had no choice but to leave.
Throwing down a smoke bomb, the smoke immediately swallowed the Prowler's figure. When the smoke cleared, the other party had indeed disappeared without a trace.
Taking the charged gauntlets off his arm, Miles breathed a sigh of relief.
"Ouch!"
Miles covered his aching head. Peter didn't know when he had stood behind him, and tapped him on the head.
"I hope today's matter can give you a lesson," Peter said stiffly.
