Chapter 370: A Major Event - The Savage League (3)
Gotham, the city of sin. If you were to conduct interviews on the street, opinions on the most wonderful city might vary, but there's usually only one answer for the most chaotic city.
Unlike most cities, Gotham, which appears incredibly chaotic to outsiders, actually has its own rules. But today, this city has descended into true madness.
Batman remained silent on the communication channel for the time being. While contacting the other members of the Justice League and arranging their deployment, he was also tracking Gotham's uninvited guest himself.
It was a creature resembling a leopard, nearly two meters in height. Based on the tattered clothes and equipment on its body, Batman speculated that this leopard's true identity should be the Goldstar who contacted the Justice League ten minutes ago but lost contact.
However, this was just Batman's guess, because the tracker showed that Goldstar's communicator signal had disappeared, possibly damaged during the mutation. Therefore, Batman couldn't use the communicator to confirm the identity of the humanoid leopard in front of him.
"Roar!"
The Goldstar let out a roar and charged towards the defensive line formed by the Gotham police. The first row of heavily armed police, equipped with WayneTech shields, lasted less than a few seconds before being overturned by the beastly Goldstar.
"Quick! Use tranquilizer darts!" Police Commissioner Gordon was commanding from the front line as usual. This middle-aged man who worked so hard was probably the reason why the Gotham Police Department still had fresh blood.
Several sharpshooters trained by the Gotham Police Department had already set up their firing lines. Several people fired simultaneously from different positions, and the multi-angled firing lines were like an invisible net to cover the Goldstar.
As if sensing danger, the Goldstar roared, and its slender tail rolled up a nearby car and swung it towards the police. This not only blocked the tranquilizer darts but also disrupted the police's formation.
The Gotham police officers fled in panic. They were not superhumans made of steel and iron; their mortal bodies could not withstand the car's crushing force.
"Bang! Squeal~!"
The car flipped several times in the air before falling to the ground. Under the effect of inertia, it began to roll and slide, and the metal body and asphalt road sparked due to friction.
Gordon drew his gun and hid behind a police car, aiming at the Goldstar. But surprisingly, the humanoid leopard did not take the opportunity to pursue and attack the police officers who had fallen to the ground. Instead, it looked vigilantly at the front.
Perhaps due to the feline genes at play, the fur on the Goldstar's body stood on end, like a frightened cat.
Although he shouldn't take his eyes off the enemy, Gordon subconsciously turned his head and saw a figure that reassured him.
The sliding car finally stopped, stopping in front of a person. The ravaged car was now riddled with holes and naturally couldn't block the figure's appearance.
The black cloak moved without wind. Batman supported the overturned car's chassis with his right hand, lightly crossed the car, and rushed towards the Goldstar.
"Roar!"
The Goldstar roared and charged towards Batman. It felt that it didn't need to be afraid of a prey whose size differed so much from its own, completely unaware that a behemoth was rushing towards it in its blind spot.
"Bang!"
The Goldstar let out a wail, and its body flew uncontrollably into a nearby shop. A jet-black, strangely shaped battle car replaced the Goldstar and stopped in place.
Batman ran to the Batmobile, jumped up, and jumped into the Batmobile, which had already opened its hatch.
"Hello, Master Bruce."
"I'm here, Alfred."
The old butler's voice sounded as usual. Batman operated on the control panel, and the Batmobile's form began to change. The Batmobile, which was originally like a high-end car, became like a steel spider.
"I need to remind you, Master Bruce, that even if Mr. Goldstar has mutated, he is still a mortal. I don't think it's a good idea to use heavy firepower."
"Don't worry, Alfred," Batman said, gripping the steering wheel that had turned into a control stick. "I'll apologize to him afterward."
"I might be happier if it were an after-marriage thing with a woman."
Faced with the old butler's skilled urging to get married, Batman also skillfully developed adaptive deafness, ignored Alfred's words, and pressed the fire button.
Relying on thermal imaging, Batman didn't have to wait for the smoke to clear before he could see his target. Two 8mm light machine guns that had been waiting for a long time poured fire at the Goldstar.
Although Batman said he would be heavy-handed, the Batmobile didn't actually carry any lethal weapons. These two light machine guns were weapons Batman prepared for superhumans, and the bullets were also specially made rubber bullets. It might be dangerous to hit ordinary people, but for powerful superhumans, it was just a tickle.
Although Batman could improve the Batmobile's combat power by replacing modules in the Batcave, the initial equipment was enough to handle the current situation.
"Da da da!"
The Goldstar, who had just climbed up from the ground, hadn't stood firm when it received the rubber bullets. It kept wailing in its mouth. This caliber of weapon was just right for him, neither hurting his bones nor muscles, but allowing him to feel pain.

"Bang!"
After suppressing the Goldstar with firepower, Batman switched to another weapon. A dark cannon barrel stretched out from the Batmobile's chassis, and a basketball-sized shell shot out from inside.
The shell exploded halfway, and a large net woven from special materials enveloped the Goldstar. The net began to tighten at the moment of contact with the flesh, and in the blink of an eye, it bound the Goldstar so that it couldn't move.
The Batmobile shot two steel needles connected to ropes at the Goldstar, which was jumping around on the ground like a fish. A steady stream of electricity instantly climbed all over the Goldstar's body along the ropes.
The poor big cat finally lost consciousness after a struggle and fell powerlessly to the ground.
Batman looked at the Goldstar's current size. The Batmobile's own prisoner seat was definitely not able to fit this big cat. Helplessly, Batman could only use a hook to hook the net on the Goldstar's body and prepare to drag him to the Batcave for analysis.
"Can you hear me, Batman?"
Switching the driving mode to autopilot, Batman connected to Cyborg's communication and said.
"This is Batman, what's the matter?"
"I'm at the Watchtower now," Cyborg said, standing in the Watchtower's operations control room, looking at the images collected by each hero for him, as well as the cameras and satellites that he himself had cracked.
"I have bad news. The animalistic phenomenon has appeared not only on the members of the Justice League, but also on many ordinary people."
