#601 - Armando Eddy Munoz
Eddie Munoz
Howard waved to the front desk, indicating they didn't need to announce him, and walked straight towards the door in front of him, politely knocking three times before pushing it open without waiting for a response from inside.
As the door opened, a spacious hall came into Howard's view. In the center of the hall was a long table with several stools, around which Hyperion, Dr. Banner, and Power Princess were sitting.
"I'm glad you could come, Stark," Hyperion greeted Howard, inviting him to sit down. "And I'm also very satisfied with those Sentinel robots you created. With them, no superhuman can hide anymore. By the way, is it possible to mass-produce the Sentinel robots?"
However, Howard didn't answer the question. Instead, he complained to Hyperion, "There's a lot of resentment outside now. Do you know what you're doing, Hyperion?"
"Trespassing, forcibly arresting people, you're committing crimes!"
"I'm reducing crime!" Hyperion stated firmly. "Only by registering all superhumans can we control them, and only by controlling them can we prevent evil from happening."
"Besides, we're not just grabbing any superhuman. Those who are registered and have no criminal record are staying safely at home. I warned all superhumans a long time ago, but unfortunately, many didn't listen. All that awaits them is a thunderous crackdown."
"Then why did you let those mutants join in?" Howard pointed his index finger at Hyperion. "You should know what will happen when you let the already controversial mutants join in at such a sensitive time, right?"
"Because I lack manpower," Hyperion said matter-of-factly. "Since no one will help me, I have to find my own helpers. Obviously, they're doing a good job."
"Yes, because you've already arrested thousands of people, thousands in just one day!"
Howard felt his blood rushing to his head, feeling dizzy.
"Do you know what the government is saying? They want you to release those people immediately!"
Hyperion waved his hand, not caring at all, and said, "Those people only know how to talk. If they were willing to help, they could solve the problem more gently. Don't bother with their barking."
"Instead of worrying about this, you should add more production lines or improve the capabilities of the Sentinel robots, instead of arguing with me here. You should remember what we talked about, right?"
Hearing this, Howard's expression changed several times. In the end, he could only sigh helplessly and say, "Okay, okay, since this is what you want, then I'll give it to you, but let's get one thing straight…"
"Don't regret it when the time comes!"
Howard turned and left, looking quite exasperated, forming a stark contrast with Hyperion, who was neither happy nor sad behind him. Anyone would think Hyperion was the victor in this conversation.
"I never regret," Hyperion said calmly. As Howard slammed the door and left, the hall fell into a brief silence, until Hyperion spoke again.
"How's the search program, Bruce?"
"It's perfect," Dr. Banner nodded. "But the search program may still have problems when facing dense crowds. It's best not to scan a hundred people at the same time, otherwise the search program will crash."
"Good," Hyperion nodded in satisfaction. "It's perfect to be able to do this in one day. There's no need to push yourself too hard."
Hyperion's current gentle attitude was in stark contrast to his previous attitude towards Howard. This wasn't gentleness towards his own people, but rather he knew what method to use for what kind of person.
Superhuman registration wouldn't benefit Howard in any way. He was like a horse that Hyperion had to whip to make him move, but Bruce was different, because the search program could help him find the missing Betty, so even if Hyperion stopped him, he would develop it at all costs."
Sure enough, Dr. Banner shook his head after hearing Hyperion's words and said, "I've rested for a long time. If there's nothing else, I'll go back to work."
No one stopped him. Dr. Banner walked out of the hall on his own. Needless to say, he was heading to the laboratory.
"He must love your sister very much," Power Princess said with a smile.
"Betty loves him too," Hyperion said noncommittally.
"Oh, right, Mark," Power Princess said as if she had thought of something. "What do you think of that superhuman who escaped the Sentinel robot's pursuit?"
"Very dangerous," Hyperion said with certainty. "I watched the video recorded by the robot. He disappeared in the blink of an eye. It's obviously a space-type superpower. I remember his name should be…"
"Armando Eddie Munoz," Power Princess picked up the information on the table. "The information shows that he comes from a wealthy family, but because he awakened as a superhuman in his childhood, he was abandoned by his own parents."
"What's strange is that the superpower Armando displayed is completely different from the superpower his parents described."
"What do you mean?" Hyperion asked.
Power Princess continued, "According to Armando's parents, Armando was swimming in the pool at the time. He cramped and was drowning. His father was about to save him, but found that Armando had stopped cramping and was still standing in the water."
"He stood on the water, this is his parents' description."
"Multiple abilities?" Hyperion frowned. "Or another application of space abilities?"
"We can only know when we catch him," Power Princess put down the information. "There's another problem, what are you going to do with those thousands of superhumans? We don't have a place to accommodate so many people."
"Throw them all into the original New York," Hyperion said without hesitation, as if he had already figured out a solution.
"The people who are still alive there have already become superhumans, which is suitable for detaining these people. Let the mutants and Sentinel robots patrol the periphery to prevent them from running out."
"Is there really no problem with this?" Power Princess asked worriedly. "Won't they unite and rebel against us then?"
"Believe me, they won't," Hyperion shrugged. "Compared to uniting, humans prefer infighting. As long as there is a fuse, they will restrain each other even without guards. And don't underestimate our allies, they will solve this matter."
…
"Is this really what we should do?" Yang Le looked at the ruins in front of him and asked Magneto, who was beside him, for his opinion.
"Do it, Happy," Magneto waved his hand and said, "Think about our compatriots, this is for our own good."
Yang Le had no choice but to raise his hands. In the next second, countless plants rose from the ground.
