#738 - Iron Boy
The Jamsil Indoor Stadium was packed to the rafters, the dense crowd making it as noisy as a marketplace.
Everyone was eagerly anticipating the upcoming performance, excitement and anticipation etched on every face.
"Boom!"
First, there was a loud bang, followed by a slight tremor that shook the entire stadium. The chattering crowd suddenly fell silent.
"Wh-What's going on?"
"Is it an earthquake?"
"Didn't receive any alerts?"
A sense of unease spread through the crowd. With each guess that was voiced, the atmosphere in the stadium seemed to drop a degree, as if a bomb of fear could be detonated by the slightest movement.
"Sizzle, sizzle!" The sound of the broadcast crackled to life. The shaking must have caused some interference, resulting in a slight static.
"We have just received an emergency notification from the Seismological Bureau. Seoul will experience a minor earthquake. Please evacuate in an orderly fashion. Please evacuate in an orderly fashion."
The announcement was first made in English, then repeated in other languages, finally stirring the crowd into action. A group of security personnel, who looked quite different from the rest, appeared at key points, directing the evacuation.
"Boom!"
The stadium shook once more. The previously disgruntled crowd made no complaints this time, and they all headed towards the emergency exits as instructed.
No one noticed that a pair of figures, one large and one small, were being led by the security personnel in the opposite direction of the crowd.
…
Unlike the chaotic but orderly audience area, the backstage employee area was in complete disarray.
The walls were covered in cracks, and furniture was shattered and scattered everywhere. Almost nothing was intact, as if a tornado had swept through. Except, this tornado might have come from the Arctic, because there was frost on the ground and walls.
"Boom!"
Another loud bang caused the already dilapidated walls to collapse completely, sending dust and debris flying everywhere, obscuring the surroundings.
Suddenly, two figures burst out of the smoke. The slender and tall one was Han Yamei, the White Fox, who had come to find Tony Stark. The other figure did not have the appearance of an ordinary human.
Han Yamei landed gracefully, taking the opportunity to assess her opponent.
The humanoid creature had a burly build. The black and white strips of cloth hanging on its body indicated that it was the guard who had been standing at the door of the lounge. However, its only remaining similarity to its previous form was its bald head.
Han Yamei took a deep breath, and the white vapor she exhaled shot out like an arrow. She was surprised to find that since the bodyguard had revealed his true form, the temperature of the entire space had dropped significantly, and even she felt a chill.
'This must be the Frost Giant mentioned in the files,' Han Yamei thought quickly, recalling the information recorded within S.H.I.E.L.D.'s files. Unfortunately, S.H.I.E.L.D. did not have much information about these creatures who rarely left their own world.
"Face me!" The Frost Giant didn't give Han Yamei much time to think. He roared and stretched out his right hand. The temperature in the room dropped again, and soon a giant axe made entirely of ice appeared in his hand.
The Frost Giant let out a battle cry and charged towards Han Yamei with the giant axe raised. The latter raised her eyebrows, ready to respond.
"Buzz ~ Boom!"
A beam of white light flashed past Han Yamei, hitting the Frost Giant who was charging. The giant was immediately knocked to the ground and slid back a considerable distance due to the impact.
Han Yamei turned her head and saw a figure in armor composed of gold, red, and bright colors standing behind her with his right hand raised. The palm of his raised right hand emitted a blinding white light, making it clear that the attack had come from there.
"Tony Stark?" Han Yamei asked tentatively. The armored figure lowered his right hand, and a voice processed through a speaker came out.
"I'm glad you didn't mistake me for another Stark."
The flamboyant and self-important tone could only belong to Tony Stark.
"Did you steal one from your dad's toy box?" Han Yamei looked him up and down, then shook her head.
"No, Howard Stark wouldn't use such ostentatious paint."
"I prefer to call it fashion," Tony said, placing his hands on his hips. "This color represents my style. Subtlety is not my thing."
"This suit from start to finish was designed and developed by me alone. That old man couldn't make such a fashionable design."
Since the last concert and the school incident, Howard had tacitly allowed Tony to use his laboratory. Tony also made up his mind to quit all the eating, drinking, and playing, and devoted himself to the laboratory, which is how he created the suit in front of him.
The reason he worked so hard was because he was afraid of encountering the same thing as those two times. Once he almost lost his girlfriend, and the second time he almost lost his dad. Fortunately, he was lucky that both times were just close calls.
But Tony didn't think he would be so lucky every time. He had to be strong enough to deal with every crisis. In this increasingly chaotic world, who knows what would happen, so Tony would bring his suit wherever he went.
Facts proved that he was right, but he didn't expect that danger was hidden by his side. If the agent of this bureau hadn't run to remind him, maybe he and Xue Xi would have been poisoned.
'Looks like I'm still not careful enough,' Tony's expression hidden under the mask was very solemn, in stark contrast to his glib tongue.
"Be careful, that monster hasn't been defeated yet." This time, Tony raised both hands, and two balls of light began to converge at the same time, along with a unique charging sound.
"If I were you, I would take the opportunity to get out of the way!"
Han Yamei didn't doubt him and immediately bent down and rolled away from her original position, clearing a firing line for Tony.
Looking at the Frost Giant who had just climbed up from the ground, Tony raised a grim arc at the corner of his mouth and said with a smile.
"Come on, baby, it's time for the fireworks show!"
"Boom!"
Two beams of light hit the Frost Giant almost at the same time, which made the giant who had finally climbed up once again be knocked away. This time, even the giant axe in his hand could not be held, and it fell to the ground with a clang.
The giant axe, detached from the giant's grasp, was like an ordinary piece of ice, shattering into ice crystals all over the ground when it fell. Its master was no better, wrapped in the huge impact and crashed into the toilet next to it.
